Toxic Waste Mining Field

Any reason why it‘s in there? I‘m not able to find a toxic waste mining field in the game.

Will this mining field be implemented, or is the mining tutorial not up to date?

It's vanilla mining field. All vanilla fields, as scrap, for example, have been removed from the mod but bonus left. Probably, just for lulzes

Sadly this is the case, though I wouldn't mind seeing Toxic Waste added and given the Ore treatment.

Alternatively, I wouldn't mind seeing it being produced from PoBs which would then require you to hire ALG or X Group to move it off the base to some destination. It wouldn't have the best prices but higher than a standard commodity but certainly lower than Ores.

Would fine and dandy to repopulate the old mining fields we had in several systems with the regular commodity, since it won't trouble/compete with the ore fields, and doesn't create lag or trouble like "moderate level" npc edits supposedly do

have you tried on Leeds?!

I tested it right now, and the mining fields are actually working, the drop rate is just really really really low (1-5 units drop per Asteroid), but overall they still work.

So, can't we like buff them and bring stuff like scrap and toxic waste mining back?

the golem is not a mining ship so don't expect great bonus! also there are more than one mining field at leeds, at least there was, but i think the bests ones is near the jumphole to Dublin and near jumphole to Magellan! at least in the past were the best ones! now i don't know!

Yeah, I tested it now with a Ragnar, the droprate is around 2.0 - 2.5 and not every asteroid gives you the Toxic Waste, but it works and it takes around 2 - 2.30 minutes to fill up a Ragnar, not that bad.
