Esteemed leaders of the Bundschuh movement,
Harold Kane here, from Natio Octavarium. It's been a while. Too long, in fact. I apologize for not reaching out sooner -- some... things happened in the past year, after we lost contact with I presume to be the now-late Erich Klugmann. If he's still alive, well, maybe he's escaped his own personal hell, whatever it might be.
Kane pauses and blinks. This communication is clearly not a rehearsed speech, nor is it coming from his usual style of confident rambling. There's a certain personal gravity to the way he speaks.
That was darker than I was intending it to be.
We've heard that things over there are getting pretty rough, what with the Imperialists rising faster than anyone expected them to. We're still pretty far out in the reaches but we -- and I myself -- owe both Erich's memory and your movement many debts of honour and friendship. In the past two years, other than a few "hi, how are you"s, we haven't done anything to make that right. I'm coming to you today to not only apologize for this, but to ask what we can do for the Bundschuh. My people are here today, and are who we are, because of our alliance with the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee. Whatever you need, whatever your ask may be, please. Natio Octavarium is here for you. Natio Octavarium would be honoured to once again stand with the Bundschuh movement in its fight for a brighter future of the people of Rheinland.
Remember Zwickau.

Die Weiße Rose Message received - 19-04-827 To: Taskmaster-Adjutant Harold Kane From: Oberst Maja Kurbjuweit Subject: Your kind message
Herr Kane,
My name is Maja Kurbjuweit and I was just appointed as DWR Oberst. I am very pleased to make your acquaintance.
I am unfortunately not in a position to give you any information about Herrn Klugmann, but mentioning him alone tells a lot about your feelings towards the Bundschuh. Be sure your kind message is highly appreciated in these troubled times.
The imperial coup has indeed put us in a difficult situation – and by us, I do not only refer to DWR, but to the people and the house of Rheinland as a whole. We are living historical times, yet not in a good way. Starting with its violent and coercitive implementation, the new regime is now enacting the pure and simple cancellation of the existing democratic rights, which were already far from perfect under the old Federal Republic. Honor commands that we oppose it by any means.
Speaking of which, your offer to assist us in this struggle is duly noted. However, after consulting our logistics department's data, it appears that we have nothing to request specifically from you as of now. We shall contact you again when a particular need arises, and I am afraid this situation will present itself soon enough.
One more time, we wish to warmly thank Natio Octavarium for reaching out to our movement as friends.

Frau Kurbjuweit,
Thank you for taking us up on the offer. Rest assured that if the Bundschuh and the people of Rheinland need anything from us, even if it's repair materials or the basic necessities of life, we are here for you, no questions asked.
Oh, and if you see a Bundschuh engineer around who goes by the nickname "Sparks", please say "hi" to her for me.
Best regards,
Taskmaster-Adjutant Harold Kane Ministry of Relations, Natio Octavarium
