Nobody cared for Gallia nor did hey want to see her powergaming heel take out a vanilla house which managed to deter defenses from two houses due to "lol valor fleet of 500."
But there are plenty of other factions which can harass Bretonia's expansion into the Omegas (although preferably not coalition)
I get that Bretonia is quickly recovering from a war which might seem powergaming, but Gallia as a whole is a powergame onslaught.
Can't you see the irony? Or are you sad the fruits of your military faction's labour have gone to waste despite not really caring about Gallia as a house & its internal affairs and focusing on just taking down a house, further fueling the powergame which is the French Blitzkrieg.
Sheesh too much truth for a flood thread.
Yeah most people forget the 6 years of handing Gallia stations and systems without any commensurate events or sieges. And in the end they were still so favored by the devteam, even though they lost the war, they were spared total anhilation, which is what should have happened instead. The war should have actually ended. Even more, it should have been run so that it was actually being fought in a series of real battles, and not just a skipped from one scripted ourcome event to another! So much could have actually been done on the server!
So when it became clear Gallia wasn't going to be handed occupation of half of Bretonia, they all jumped ship, as they hedged their bets anyways, keeping interests in both sides the whole time, and kept Devtonia instead of the Kingdom of Devlia.
Hence this is why we need an system of rules, open for everyone to see, that set out what houses actually have what ships, and whats going on. We could have that kind of details and organization here, it would make it much better to keep up and participate, and above all else...ENSURE UNBIAS FAIRNESS in development attention. Set a rule so stations dont change hands without a siege, and make a real system for OF's to challenge over them at least. We badly need that here and the recent population spike proves we do have time and players to take advantage of a still active server.
I'd love to see the looks on some people's faces if they actually had to put some real effort and purpose into maintaining their terriroty, and defend their NPC capship bases. How hard can it be to make those ships mortal like POB's, and program Repair Ships to work on restoring them at a decent rate. We need situatuons like that, they get people moving, give purpose and create real jobs within the game. And of course, it creates an ACTUALLY FAIR system where player effort helps determine what happens. Instead of debating and wasting time on what development changes make sense, just set it up to actually work in the game reality and we'll work out some of those details ourselves for once. That can at least be done with regards to military moves and military/political crises.
But yes that would mean some of the wannabe warlords out there sitting on their thrones would actually have to get in game, and have players doing stuff, to get and keep their little kingdoms!
Truth!
I'm guessing there are some here who remember Dabbykins and his powergaming. RPing Queen Corina AND King Louis AND running the Council of Zoners. I got so sick of his compost that out of server, him and I went at it when I called him out on his powergaming. He's not around anymore.
Leave Omega-3 alone. Pronouncing Nottingham is aids and who came up with this name needs to be banned from the naming of anything until the end of time.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
