Diplomatic overtures

To the Blood Dragon Lords of Hikone, greetings.

My name is Heimin Kotoku, a humble man from Honshu. Together with other men and women of Kusari, we have toiled and fought over for our way of life, and for it's preservation against foreign exploitation. For years we did this, under the banner of the Farmers Alliance, and under the guidance and patronage of the Samura. This has led us on a path of conflict with you, and those who support you. You don't like Samura and their work and deeds, and we have been taught to distrust and even hate you and what you represent.

Over time, a long time, some of ours have begun to realize that not all that Samura says is truth or law. That while they do struggle against foreigners, they also are capable of neglecting our plight, or try to soothe us with some fancy equipment and promises of more funds than we would ever be capable of spending to preserve what is ours. They will gladly trap us in their kindness, while also trouble us with their petty schemes and company grudges.

Me, other brothers and sisters in arms, in Kamisu and other bases, have begun taking steps of repossessing our destiny, and the fates of farmers and workers all over Kusari. We have organized ourselves as the Union of the Kusari Farmer Communes, the Nourenpou, and will fight for our autonomy, from the hands of corporate and the lawman.

Now, it is certain that our plight wont make us friends, nor our goals are the same. However, we believe that we can reach some measure of understanding, enough to ensure we don't interfere with each other. For that purpose I propose a truce between the Dragons and the KFC, and the organization of a meeting to discuss further points.
