A far cry from the usual AFK fest - the attackers had to be constantly on their toes and got wiped out many times!
It could have been awesome if the base would be let alive and given a chance, as it was even supposed to in the end. Unfortunately, it seems attackers were not there to create and enjoy the activity, but to kill the base at all cost, even despite they were later asked by their official faction representative to spare it for now and door for possible RP was opened.

tbh just because the ofl asked doesn't mean they should stop imo
The total destruction of Tur Laidir was unnecessary.
Now dead Tur Laidir no longer benefits the community, and no longer generates ongoing interplay RP.
The situation was confusing. Order were camped by the base and defended the attackers. Other factions took the opportunity to attack the attackers. AI factions were present but are useless with inadequate ships etc,
The Game Masters hide in their bunkers and do nothing about this ongoing Dumb Stuff that harms the game. We get zero feedback about this and again it is the same players harming the game.
GM Connor's PoB suggestion thread... which seems to have been a waste of time, is a sop to placate the anger. Nothing came out of it that is tangible.
It is impossible to defend a PoB when, even vanquished, the attackers can return every hour. As St Denis has said. All the advantage is to the attackers.

That segment overwhelmingly has seen the depletion of a sizeable number of active players - including those that want, and do decent RP. Xenon, and Kerfy spring to mind. It is the same rehashed group of players time and time again... who want the giggles at the expense of the game.

That is not very beneficial to community when such POB didn't even allow indie AI to dock on it by default. As always, it's just your pet POB project that you like placing around Sirius and has nothing to do with decent quality roleplay. Just inserting the name in Comms doesn't make POB relevant to roleplay.
Game Masters are not hiding. They just don't have anything to do about this. Siege rules were not broken. POBs already have protection from sudden attacks and have increased hull points to prolong sieges.
Have you put any effort to make construction notices for your POBs? Or to make diplomacy Comms before getting sieges? I don't see it to be honest. Last I remember you didn't care about roleplay when you requested a POB moved in front of Alberta's Super Gate without permission from LibGov.
Maybe it's time to reflect on your own shortcomings before demanding for this community to adapt to your needs.

Kind of sums up your attitude Snak. You say you don't even have a PoB so... shut up.
I didn't own Tur Laidir.
In regards to Chicago I took over the faction well past that event. I actually sold it... but your self serving egotistical arrogance would not let you think beyond a narcissist's viewpoint. Veltman Smelter, Old Trafford are well RP'd. But I don't care about you. Most here don't. As far as I am concerned you are an impediment with your nasty negativity, which well and truly trumps any good you do.
You can't respond to my arguments without going ad hominem all over me. That just cements that I am correct about your group's benefit to community, which is dry activity to supply numerous POBs of yours.
I find amusing that 70% of destroyed POBs usually belongs to Paddy. For some reason this person builds POBs without reason in random locations and with minimal RP effort. Why?

The only two with my involvement that have been destroyed this year has been Goldgheist which I didn't build or own but offered to manage whilst the owner took a break. The other was Tur Laidir, which I don't own but willingly helped maintain.
Lets see...
Nobium Ore, never been there (Attacked by Groshyr)
BMM Goldgheist (Attacked by Groshyr's faction)
Diamond Star - No idea where that is (Attacked by Groshyr)
Eldorado - never even docked (Attacked by Groshyr's faction)
Hamilton - Not mine (Attacked by Groshyrs faction)
Two Suns warehouse - No idea where this is (Attacked by Groshyr)
Agera Inc - Never even docked.
Wismar Shipping - No idea where (Attacked by Groshyr)
BMM Goldgheist II - Never had anything to do with it. (Attacked by Groshyr)
