Orbital Spa and Cruise wishes to reach out to determine the best course of action for our liner Barbados currently cruising in the Vespucci system. Barbados has been flying through the system for several years in compliance with Liberty law to the best of our interpretation. Orbital informed the government of its intentions, and we took the government's silence as tacit consent. Given that the Liberty embargo on Vespucci specifically allows for various classes of passengers (section 1.5), the corporation has assumed that the government of Liberty takes no objection to the position of Barbados. Likewise, the Legion has officially declared to honor the Commonwealth's position and let the liner be. Of course, the word of rebels can only extend so far, but the board is confident that the Legion has bigger fish to fry for now as the Navy continues to advance.
Given the escalation of the conflict between House Liberty and the Legion/Separatists/Commonwealth, etc, I wanted to reach out for an official government position on Barbados. With the loss of Mackinac, the temporary closure of Baden-Baden, and the risk to Curacao's traffic with an increase in military activity in California, we can ill afford another lost liner. If the Liberty government and Navy agrees to respect Barbados, then we can keep her docked at Iridescencia. Otherwise, we will have to investigate new possible homes for the liner.
