I like the sound of this faction, and would be interested in joining the transport/gunship squadron (though as one of the first members, it would be nice to be allowed to bring my Border Worlds Transport along).
I'll put down 50 mil for the cause once there's a full proposal that appears decent enough to pass.

The Idea of a stable support group for smugglers is good. However the 100 words or less smugglers Code
dose not inspire unity or confidence, and Death for breaking the code that dose not seem to have any real rules besides a bit common sense, Run if you can, Deliver the cargo...
If my smuggler was going to join a crew after 14 months of running solo with profits over 700 mil,
He would need to be inspired by an idea or the chance of profits beyond his wildest dreams.
A short to the point code is fine but it should Inspire.
I read your Prop twice it looks fairly standard and workable, the part about mandatory escorts means you will need to organize runs and a time table for escorts, or most smugglers will tend to use the firefly with heavy armor to keep the cargo under 3500. or not join at all why get shot by your own pepole because you could not wait for some hotshot in a fancy fighter.
Meh, I'm not too keen on a group of "hard-core" smugglers that will cough up a fine and maybe even cargo when asked...

That would be why we wouldn't drop our cargo, pay fines, or be pirated. In RP, smugglers are what you would call suicidal. We do the tough runs, smuggle the contraband to make a lot of cash, not simply drop it or give up our hard earned cash at one prod, that's not what a smuggler is all about. A smuggler is about getting your cargo to it's destination at no matter what the cost, with no loss in profit either it be taxes, fines, or dropping a part of your cargo.
We would only do that if a last resort before dying.

Hearing their stories was and still is interesting, but an insatiable curiosity combined with a bad case of insomnia led me to pursue a different hobby during the night; each evening allows me to make multiple trips between New York and the Omicrons before I go to bed. Ever since I started my night job, I've been having the best sleep of my life, even if the trips do cut out some of the time available for sleep.
I've dealt in several black-market trades, including Artifacts, Cardamine, Slaves, Light Arms, and a couple of new commodities that are probably only legal until the Houses discover them (namely wine and tobacco). I know the typical routes like the back of my hand and would be glad to share them should I be accepted.

Just like to point out if the SC meets Rogues gets pirated and runs woithout explaining why he doesn't want to pay, what do you expect us to do? We stop you, that's your cue to start with the RP. My intention is to rob you no matter what, but I'm amenable to the concept of negotiation, it's not all about the cred. As it stands the SC will be treated no different to the .:j:. unless what you're hauling is Cardi or definitely for a Rogue base, we'll be stealing money from you, or killing you. That bit is your choice.
Cardi is taxed but at a rate of one full hold of cardi on any vessel smaller than a gunboat cargo hold wise, so you're unlikely to ever get asked for more than one hundred units.
