I'll wait till it's fleshed out more, hostile AI isn't really new, though I definitely prefer hostile AI over childlike curiosity AI that want to be Zoners without being bullied.

and if Lucas and thund will really play them and log often, why not I suppose
AFAIK all evil robot factions have died and only ambiguous ones that do deal with humans remain. And the ID and shipline is way more limited than nomad one

I do not know about Nomads right now, but I would be leaning towards no hostilities with Nomads, as they are not "consuming" planets and expanding like madmen.
