.......● RECIPIENTS:.........BDM Oberkommando .......● SENDER:-..............Kapitän Frank Dresdner .......● LOCATION:............RNC-SCHEER Forward Operating Base .......● PRIORITY:..............█ █ █ █ █ █ .......● SUBJECT:..............Rescue Operation of RNC-Helgoland
Direktor,
Please review the proposed operational plans for Operation Rettungsfloß. Given that the RNC-Helgoland has not been seen or heard from since 816AS we must assume the ship has been comprimised, either by Imperialist sympathizers or worse, nomads. As a result, the operational plans have contingencies for all eventualities. Individual unit commanders will be briefed on a need-to-know basis.
Situation:
The Commanding Officer of the RNC-Helgoland has requested assistance due to unknown factors. We have also heard reports from the Omicrons that a Rheinland Warship has been spotted in the sector with visible battle damage, however up until now we have not been able to corroborate these reports. The RNC-Helgoland is registered as a Donau class heavy cruiser, listed in the Rheinland Military Archives as Missing in Action as of 816AS. The Objective of this mission is to verify the location and status of the RNC-Helgoland, and return her to Rheinland space.
Timing:
Given the Buro's manpower limitations at this time, it is estimated it will take 4-5 Standard Sirian Days to make the requisite preparations for the battlegroup to begin the Operation.
OPORD:
The Operation will be divided into 3 Phases, listed below:
Phase 1 - Battlegroup headed by RNC-Scheer will depart the staging area in Thuringia by way of Jump Coordinates listed A7. Once Post-Jump statuses for all fleet ships report green the fleet will establish a 10 Kilometer defensive bubble, and send the SAR Force to locate and secure the situation around the RNC-Helgoland.
Phase 2 - Once the situation around the Target Vessel has been pacified, SAR forces will maintain station around the vessel while RNC-Scheer and Battlegroup ships move to the target vessel. At that point, RNC-Scheer will launch a shuttle craft with 1 Platoon of MarineKommando shock troopers to secure the situation onboard the RNC-Helgoland. These troops will have standing orders to confine all existing crew to their quarters, and sweep the ship for any unidentified material or personnel. All crew will be subject to full investigations by agents of the Kommissariat. Should reinforcements be necessary for any reason, a standby platoon of MarineKommando Shock Troopers will be standing by on LV-Bifrost. If the ship poses a threat to the Battlegroup, RNC-Scheer will open fire on RNC-Helgoland, and the battlegroup will exit the area of operations. Any Surviving MarineKommando troops will be subject to quarantine procedures.
Phase 3 - When RNC-Helgoland has been given the all clear by the Ground Forces commander onboard, the battlefleet will conduct a jump to exit the Area of Operations as soon as it is safe. If RNC-Helgoland is incapable of moving under its own power, tow lines will be run between RNC-Scheer and RNC-Helgoland. If at any time the situation aboard the Helgoland deteriorates, RNC-Scheer will proceed to cut all tow lines, and destroy RNC-Helgoland.
Once returned to Rheinland space, RNC-Helgoland will be towed to Schatten Experimental Shipyard, where the ship will undergo a full spectrum scan and decontamination. All crewmembers onboard RNC-Helgoland will be transferred to Secure state rooms aboard AESIR Facility, pending a full investigation by Inspektorat agents for both Imperialist Sympathizers and personnel no longer fit for duty.
Materials Requisition:
The following materials and personnel have been requested for this mission. They have been selected based on their readiness for deployment, operational flexibility and loyalty. The role of each ship will also be identified.
RNC-Scheer: Battlegroup Command, heavy support platform.
U-100: Escort Ship.
U-69: Escort Ship.
LV-Bifrost: Logistics Vessel, Underway Replenishment, [REDACTED].
2 Companies MarineKommando Shock Troopers.
Regards,
Kapitän Frank Dresdner

Special Dispatch Orders 827.09.28.04.51 for Operation Rettungsfloß have been APPROVED.
As of now, I am temporarily allocating LV-Bifrost, two UKORPS units, and two companies of MarineKommando Shock Troops to Task force Scheer, under your direct command.
I trust that you can bring the Helgoland home, or ensure that it doesn't fall into enemy hands.
From,
Director Kai Siegfried

To: Kapitän, Director,
I would like my personal UKORPS unit under the index of 96 to be informally allocated to this operation on top of already assigned units. I do not mind temporarily acting under Kapitän Dresdner's jurisdiction for the sake of this operation - it might be the case that their personnel might act more at ease in my presence given the fact i was the one to initially respond to the emergency message.
It is my hope it will not come to worst case scenario, but in case of suspicion the vessel might be compromised i would suggest to contact local parties capable of performing infection screening - that would spare us the necessarity and risk to tow the ship back to Schatten and risk infiltration.

Generaloberinspektor, Kapitan,
I agree with the Generaloberinspektor's assessment - and believe that she will be a good addition to this taskforce.
I hope I don't have to remind the two of you that we are extremely short staffed. Hardware can be replaced, but your lives can't. I do not want to see any foolhardy bravado - we've lost enough irreplaceable comrades in this war.
In the meantime, I will have AESIR prepared for your arrival.
From,
Director Kai Siegfried

The Kommissarat will be providing offensive hardware as appropriate to the MarineKommando units and pilots on scene. I will personally have copies of the VENOM MK1 ready for use by the said pilots. Maitnence and upgrades to the 90-ARKM-N45 Series fighters will be put in place along with special measures to prevent unauthorized dismount and tampering with the VENOM series. These upgrades are available at your request/discretion.
I also believe we have not formally made acquaintance. I have finally been cleared to come out of hiding to an extent. I will fill you in on the status of other special weapons in production.
From,
Kommissaroberrat Laurenz
