Sanjo Jiraki is the son of Sophia Ames Jiraki and Hizashu Jiraki. Sanjo was born on Planet New Tokyo in the year 800. Sanjo was born
with an infection, causing necrosis in his right arm and left leg. Both were amputated at the age of 2. Sanjo’s father developed artificial prosthetics that grew in size and ability as Sanjo grew up. The arm and leg can extend his physical capacity but not by much. His mother and father were famous scientists within Kusari. They both worked on biohacking and mechanical augmentation, as well as genetic augmentation and nanotech. As a result of the augmentations to his mechanical limbs, Sanjo’s mother had to add a fast-acting virus that injected DNA in Sanjo’s cells so that the strength within his unaffected arm and leg is equal to the strength within the augmented mechanical prosthetics. It also strengthened his heart so that it could ease into getting used to working that much blood to his remaining arm and leg. As Sanjo grew up, he discovered an unknown “side effect” to his father’s mechanical limbs and his mother’s viral agent: It increased his intelligence by quite a lot and it sharpened his senses to an incredibly high degree. The nanites that affected the code of the leg and arm infected his brain at the age of 16. Sanjo almost died from the infection, but his parents were able to remove the nanites by creating a module that sucked in the nanites and reprogrammed them to regenerate cellular tissue using a bit of the nutrients that Sanjo digests. This gave Sanjo the nickname: Kaiju.
Sanjo’s parents were famous scientists within Kusari. They pushed the frontier of robotics and genetics, aiding not just Kusari
but also the other houses. As a result of this scientific alliance with other houses, the Kusari government pushed convicted them of treason against the State and they were excommunicated from the Kusari Scientific Association. Sanjo was also excommunicated at the age of 22, 2 years after his parents were exiled. In Liberty, he worked with his parents to build up credibility by leaking secret research that Kusari did to Liberty, and recreated helpful research for the house gov’t. Sanjo aided in this research and cred buildup, eventually being considered an equal or greater scientific mind then his parents. He studied for 10 yrs on genetics, nanotechnology, robotics, mechanical design, trade lane/gate design, quantum physics and mechanics, engine design, sub-light and light speed systems and theory, particle physics, theoretical physics, and other space-oriented studies.
Sanjo was 32 when he joined the Liberty Intelligence Agency. By then he was an accomplished scientist who had contacts within the LSF. That is how he found out
about LIA, as his principal contact Dajia De'Lacroix gave him information for recruitment to LIA. He was recruited to LIA 2 years ago (805). Over time he gained enough trust to run Operation Wolfhorn, led by Director Wolfe. The mission involved infiltrating a Junker base in the Omicrons, sending transmissions of smuggled goods into Liberty space and where they are being smuggled. The information was archived and is planning on being used on a later date. He then realized his addiction to Sunbucks, which developed when he was exiled to Liberty, as Sunbucks isn't a commodity found in Kusari often.

The humming of the engines slowly subsidized as the guardian was powered down. Finally, Sanjo docked at his destination, the Chimera, the agency's
Interdictor class ship that served as its headquarters. Stepping out from his ship, the Kaiju, Sanjo was greeted by two guards who, after clearing him to move around the ship, left him to find his way to the Bridge. Sanjo’s orders were simple yet vague. According to the transmission he received he was to report to a set of coordinates and meet up with the Chimera. The briefing was short. The director of DPD was present as well as director of Clandestine Operations, along with some other people whom Sanjo did not recognize. At the end of the briefing it was decided that, provided Sanjo accepts it, he will be transferred to another department from DPD, this department being the Research and Development Department. The offer was one time only and he gladly accepted it and after clearing out some details he was dismissed to familiarize himself with his new work area. Arriving at the specified deck, a guard inspected his credentials and then allowed him to continue forward with a "Welcome to Deck 9, sir." Taken aback by the size of the place he slowly walked through. Lab after lab followed. Some of them had people working on a weapon for a ship or for personal use. Another lab was filled with people assembling what seemed to be an engine. Reaching a reinforced door he was blocked again by two guards who after inspecting his credentials allowed him to pass. Sanjo went down a large stairway to yet another lab. Various scientific tools were placed everywhere. Diluters, petri dishes and other equipment to name only a few. A massive display was set in the front projecting an H3 molecule. An tall old man, around 50-60 years old, turned around, staring at Sanjo. The man said, "Ah. You must be my new coworker! My name is Dr. Howard Stern, I've led the RnD department at LIA for around 2 years. Got any questions?" Sanjo replies, "Many, many questions, but the biggest one I have is, when was this department created? What is this place?" The old man explained, " When LIA was originally created, around 6 months before you joined, Director Wolfe hired me on as a specialist for LIA. My job was, and is, to research and develop things for LIA. I’ve been working on a prototype cloak.” The old man points to a massive assemblage of wires and metal. The man said, “I also work on other things, but I’m starting to get old. I need a coworker, someone with similar experience to me, and I need a potential replacement in case I retire or, well, you know, die. That's where you come in.” Sanjo replied, “Now that I have context Dr. Stern, I would love to help out!” Dr. Stern showed Sanjo around the area, and he proposed a plan to Sanjo. The plan consisted of creating a proposal to make the department “official” within the scope of the public. Sanjo accepted.
The low rumbling of the main power slowly subsidized as Sanjo walked towards the bar. Sanjo walked to the cafeteria on Fort Bush, a notable LPI- base.
Docking at this base has now become one of Sanjo's daily occurences in order to pick up a dozen of Sunbuck's doughnuts and a coffee. There was another reason for his visit, though, for he was picking up some goods for use in the lab. Sanjo arrived on Fort Bush with his lab transport vessel, [LIA]-Hokan. Usually, Sanjo flies around Liberty in his classic ship, the Kaiju. [LIA]-Kaiju is a perfectly-weighted Avenger class VHF. It had an arsenal of prototype weapons, bought from a seller on Planet Houston. As he is sitting at his table, viewing transmissions and sipping coffee, Sanjo sees many people in the cafeteria, which was uncommon but not unwelcome. As Sanjo scanned the room, he noticed 2 people walking towards him, who he identified as his parents. Sanjo was greeted by his parents, Sophia and Hizashu Jiraki, who happened to be passing by to consult some researchers on Fort Bush. The project they were working on consisted of more research in the Badlands, which Sanjo thought was a waste of time. Sanjo's parents don't make mistakes, though, so he wasn't worried. Sanjo's father, Hizashu, was an old man with a large, unkept mop of pearl-white hair. Hizashu often wears a crisp suit. Sanjo's mother was tall and stern, as ever, with long, grey hair. Today, Sophia was wearing a button-down shirt, jeans, and a lab coat. Both of Sanjo's parents seemed incredibly tired to him, which both surprised and worried him. Usually, his parents were in great health and the energy of bright-eyed pilot ready to make his fortune in space. Sanjo offered them protection during the convoy, as today was a free day for him, but they said not to worry. Sanjo and his parents continued the day talking about the renewal of experiments in the Omicrons, the organic engine, etc. They also did several routine health checks, as they usually do when they pass by him, which focused on his heart and brain. They made sure to upgrade the firmware in his prosthetics and added a few tweaks to the mechanisms (increased movement speeds, reaction time). They made a few modifications to the nanites, increasing his reaction time within space. After they were done, Sanjo kissed them on the cheek and bade them good night. He returned to his seat, ordering another coffee and a box of doughnut holes. Sanjo pulled his pad out again to check lab reports and transmissions. After around 15 minutes, Sanjo scanned the cafeteria, which was mostly empty. At one of the far tables, a person stood up and was heading towards him. Sanjo turned his head to see who this person was.
A woman around her mid 20s with long silver hair and similarly colored eyes wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black shirt could be seen walking towards him. "Couldn't help but notice that the cafeteria is empty but for the two of us, so I decided to come by and ask if you want a drink." She said after she approached him, standing at a small distance from his table - waiting for his approval to join him. Her face was covered by a smile, with signs of sleeplessness being visible in her eyes. She looked into his eyes as she awaited for a response.
The woman raises her eyebrows as she stares into the donuts and the coffee. "Damn, Sunbucks.... It's been a while since I last had these." She said before she placed the bottle of vodka she had with her on the table, extending an arm towards the man so as to handshake him.
"Name's Isla, Isla Nazumaki, you've probably heard of me before. Thank you for the Sunbucks." She continued, smiling at Sanjo.
Seeing his reaction, Isla blushed just a little bit herself. "It's alright, you don't have to get too anxious - just here for the company." She pauses for a few moments, thinking. "Oh yeah, Sickle, what a guy. I heard he was arrested for treason, and imagine I was even flirting with him at a time - bullet dodged, I guess."
She shrugs lightly as she takes a seat near him. "I'm relatively alright, haven't been too well lately but it's nothing I can't deal with. What about you Sanjo, how have you been holding up?"
Sanjo hesitated for a moment, remembering when Sickle was an agent. Sanjo took a quick sip of coffee and replied, "I've been doing alright. I just got
promoted to the Command Directorate, you see, and I've been working on some engine research. The Director just sent in a research request on some classified tech, " he gestures to his pad," so I've been reading up on it. Before you came, I had just checked in with my parents and gotten a firmware update to my prosthetics. Its been rough, but fun. So, ah, what are you doin' here?" Sanjo took a bite of his doughnut, anticipating an interesting response.
Isla took a big sip of her vodka as she looked at him, noticing the happiness in his eyes as he spoke about his work, her mind going back to the times when she worked for LPI, missing her past work. A huge smile covers her face unconsciously as she remembers all the great times she had at this station, almost dozing off as she hears him talk. "You make me feel nostalgic of the times I was in LPI, Sanjo, hearing you talk that enthusiastically about your work really gives me many memories. I'm very happy for you."
She takes a bite of her own donut, a taste she hasn't had in a damn while, she takes a moment to enjoy the taste, closing her eyes. "Damn I missed that taste. So... anyway. I was here just to relax honestly, I've been spending most of my time in Riverside's bar to be honest, so I decided to visit Fort Bush again after a while. What about you, taking a break from the job?"
