Uh, G'day mates. Jonas Hudson, former privateer here.
You folks know about this Gallic vessel sitting in the Islay Nebula? I was passing through after making a few runs against Enclave supply lines. Doesn't seem like a good sign!

Jonas Hudson former Privateer, nice to meet you, I am Akemi.
The news you bring is quite dreadfully concerning. I will need to see what Mr. Blackwood has planned for it. I'm sure he would say something along the lines of "sometimes it is wise to observe, and strike once they get a sense of security - however false that security may be."
If you want my opinion, I personally think we need to take care of any escorts that may be in the area, and light up the big bad ship probably about three days ago. Then we could pull out the marshmallows and tell each other ghost stories while we watched every single person on board die a slow painful death. Of course then we could scrap whats left and use it to fund some more of my favorite shoot murder kill tactics to ensure the safety of some more of the most adorable little critters - oh they are so cute!
But you know, I don't always get what I want.
I am sure the man with the plan will be in touch shortly

Mr.Hudson,
Normally, the moment you said you were a privateer I'd shut off this message, but I see that one of my more enthusiastic followers has chosen to jump at the chance to see some action. So, you come telling us about this ship, are you simply a courier? Or do you intend to aid us in its destruction?
Well, like I said, I'm a former privateer, and for a few reasons, a story for another day. The last year or so I've been back to what I did before I ever joined the war effort, which was junkin', and a bit of smugglin'. I've been laying low mostly since Leeds.
But I still have my own beef with the Royalists, and I can't ignore an influx in supply traffic. Seems that they're up to something in Edinburgh lately. I've hit a few shipments of their supply lines from Gallia. Some were good, some... not so good. Wish I could say my ships haven't taken a beating, but they have. Trust me, I've been out doing what I can. Seems like they're hauling in Siege Goods of some kind, and taking Refugees back out towards Gallia.
Me and my crew are at your service. All I can bring is one extra bomber, or the turrets from my transport! But I'll certainly like to join in for marshmallows on this one! Just say the word and I'll be back out there. The Junkers have an old saying, "if you can't find scrap, make some!"

Jonas Hudson former Privateer,
Build a man a fire, and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life. An old saying that has proven to be true time and time again, and one I believe we will find it accurate once more. Considering how cold the vacuum of space is, and the conditions they will face if they stepped out the door; it could be said we are almost doing them a favor - they will not have to worry about freezing to death.... We are not totally cruel and heartless.
As you may have guessed already, I am fond of stories. Maybe yours could be one to share around the fire with our marshmallows and hot cocoa?
The evacuation of their people, and the fact they are bringing in seige stuff is even more concerning.... I had only heard rumors of this happening, just quiet whispers. Have you any idea where these weapons are headed to, and where those being evacuated come from? I have my suspicions, as I am sure Devin does too... However, as I'm sure you will agree, confirmed information is much better to work with.
I'm sure that Devin will undoubtedly have more to say regarding this.

Mr.Hudson,
You are quickly proving more valuable than the run of the mill Pirate.
What you have show is not just concerning, it is down right terrifying. In case you were not aware, I expect you are, this is a very similar turn of events that lead up to The Glassing of Leeds. My concern, is that Enclave might be gearing up for a repeat, and we cannot allow that to happen. I suspect that that cruiser has been put there to monitor our operations and warn them of any incoming raids so they can try to cover up anything that might trigger red flags.
You help us crack that Battle Cruiser and you can certainly consider any Gaian Base a safe haven.
I never strayed too far towards Gaia, but I followed an EFL ship with siege goods all the way to Issoudun Shipyard as it fled my attack. I can only assume the evacuees are coming from Gaia. I hear you loud and clear, if they abandon Gaia, who know's what they might try on the way out. Also, it was my fear that the Enclave might be trying to establish a base in the nebula in order to hang on in the system if they pull out. I'd rather you folks hold that space over them any day.
So it seems with Planet Quillan becoming a new front for them, they've decided to put most of their weight into holding territory inside Gallia. That means Edinburgh is more exposed and they may be on the ropes. That must be why they're evacuating. Hopefully Bretonians can act quickly, and keep Gaia from ending up like Leeds.
As to the Enclave cruiser, it seems to have dropped off scanner as of my last flight through there. I wondered if you already dealt with it, or if it withdrew. If any more appear again, I'll let you know.
Oh, and if the Armed Forces return to the system, after that, I won't be able to offer any assistance against them. But I'll always be willing to render humanitarian/emergency aid. And if you need a smuggler, I might be able to help with that, depending on what you need.

He squints
Mr.Hudson,
They must have noticed our increased activity, and retreated before we could attack - you know standard Gallic Operating procedure, the cowards. If they return, it will be destroyed.
On that note however, I believe your services are no longer required at this time. I appreciate your offer of humanitarian aid and I will keep this in mind if the need arises. I am not entirely sure how much I am willing to trust you though given your past and your self admittance to caring about The Crown. I understand as a smuggler you walk a fine line so don't take this the wrong way, I am just...a little wary.
I understand your concerns Mr. Blackwood, and hopefully they'll be no need for further warnings of that nature. When it comes to information, I prefer keeping the option open to give a favor, get a favor, should such a situation arise. Something to consider at least. Otherwise, thanks for answering my hail! Fly safe out there.
