I was thinking about Freelancer, and where all the houses originally came from. You would think that atleast Liberty should have some religion left, or did everybody stop believing in god when they fled from earth and the other planets?
Bretonia is, in my opinion, fiercely nationalistic rather than religious. What is religion but a system for being part of something bigger than yourself? For Bretonia, Bretonia takes that position.
Liberty has been visited by the Oracles, a modern cult that believes in a life without hunger, or wars.
They believe that the Nomads are the key to such a fate. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Bretonia isn't North Korea.
They're probably something similar to Anglican. Mollys will be Catholic.:D

I don't believe this is accepted RP anymore. I was writing a char story along these lines when I found out this was not the direction Rheinland was being allowed to go.

The Monarchy, as always has been, is the beating heart of Bretonia.

Actually, this is can be found in most RL nations, in certain segments. It's certainly true in the West at least as much as in the East. It's quite pronounced in Western Europe and the United States.
In FL terms, nationalism's certainly there for Kusari, Rheinland, and Bretonia, and I suspect we could find elements of it in Liberty, too. More formal religion would likely be found with nationalism in syncretized form.

See, that's what I've always had a bit of trouble with on the Mollys. The British (Bretonia) didn't just subjugate all the Irish and put them to work in the mines, did they? There's Brets in the Mollys too, it's more deposed miners than anything else, not a nationality.
That'd be like the Japanese on the Kusari immediately isolating all the Ainu and turning them into a servant class once they got off the ship.
