The wreckage of the Hildr was confirmed arriving at Carrier Orion from the Buro des Marinenachrichtendiensts. Operational Ownership has been transferred to the Directorate and placed under restricted access, minimum Sentinel. Brief analysis from Orion mechanics reveal that the vessel is too severely damaged to survive through anomalies. A team of Engineers has been dispatched from to get an indepth review of the chassis for review and repair.
Confirmation of arrival into the Rheinland Sector. The Ferry has succesfully evaded hostile forces through the Liberty corridor. However, records show that the pilots had bribed a Liberty Police officer for safe passage through southern Liberty, funds have been deducted from vessel's neural account. With the arrival of the check teams, introductory to the local workshops will be held before proceeding with their requested duties for health & safety purposes. Estimated initiation: One day.
Analysis complete. Time of completion: Three weeks.
Teams attached cause of delays to limited materials and sensor disturbances from the nebula providing inaccurate measurements. Errors have been rectified, data reveals substantial damage to impulse systems and interior structure. Brigade section compromised.
Report of repair costs forwarded. These materials will be the cost of sealing the vessel for towage. Teams report inefficiency of repairs without utilization of a port. Advise management to contact nearest friendly installation for a hasty patch up, otherwise process will take approximately 64% longer with moorage at the local neglected station.
Damage heat map and required materials:
Sealing up the husk Wrote:Ship Hulls Panels - 10,000
Shape-memory Alloy - 8,000
Industrial Materials - 8,000
Ablative Armor Plating - 4,000
Gravity Field Stabilizers - 1,000
With the list provided, the materials will be sufficient enough to seal up the husk for eventual transfer to Elgin upon completion. Deliveries will be made and catalogued on Orion.
Daumann has successfully fulfilled their contract, delivering all the Hull Panels required to seal up the hull. A wing of vessels have been assigned for escort duty to the Rheinland border. Application of the seal may be completed within the day. Word has been forwarded upon the ETA for the transfer of resources.
The Vessel has set off and has successfully snuck into the Inverness system. The route was as following: Cologne, Hamburg, Hudson, Texas, California, Cortez, Inverness.
No vessels were detected en route. The package held out, but all in all, quick and quiet.
With the arrival of the specimen, internal reconstruction may initiate. Due to the extensive resource cost and the inevitable requirement for renewal of the chassis armor plating, extra materials for playing room is required. The Directorate has demanded similar treatment with Skopoi, proclaiming that adaption is a must. Modification of the Ionstream series is required for the size of this chassis, as a smaller system may not be as effective at providing impulse. The anticipated cost of initiating such a large scale project is estimated to be nearly as two times as expensive. A generated manifest has been provided:
The required resources manifest for this project has been succesfully fulfilled via external extractors. Analysis shows that outsourced construction efforts will reduce time requirement of completing the chassis, internal linkages and external platings.
The Directorate has sent query to the ALG Corporation due to their innate knowledge of Rheinland architecture. If accepted, efficiency chances of restoration is vastly increased from the norm baseline. Further efficiency if Daumann, the prime constructors, were to be convinced. Due to the lack of collaboration with the builders, it may pose a security issue, word may leak to the Rheinland government, political backlash from the desired collaborators is undesired. A risk, but unguaranteed.
Due to the secrecy of Technocrat technologies, Auxo engineers will be required to handle the propulsion and energy grid. The proposal must outline this. Analysts have voiced concerns in regards to funding schemes, as deficiect loss is projected to be approximately 5.9 Billion credits, estimating to inflate to 7 Billion if all full-over retrofit projects proceed. Project Twin Adaption will have to be withheld due to economical limitations. The Directorate will not permit domestic costs being depleted, citing that the people of the Technocracy shall not wither and shall show patience as a test against time, even if the face of danger is staring down upon them.
Specifications have been designed by the internal teams. Teams report Atmospherics requires further development and has requested some samples from Gaia. Reference guidelines are present:
PROPULSION AND TWIN REACTORS
<::CLASSIFIED: MID-COMMAND R&D ACCESS ONLY::>
Quote:
The AXI series was originally built in mind for versatility and long-term performance on lesser scale models. Due to the sheer size of the carrier, an experimental approach is required to tackle the energy systems, as they will need to be operating at a vast capacity. Unlike the other models, twin reactors are required due to differing energy requirements.
Small scale studies and simulations provided that singular cores can effectively be drained of essence, causing the vessel to short due to power loss. Although the cells are vast and exceptionally powerful, overstressing the capacitors will cause an overload in the system, possibly firing back the charged energy and causing a catalyst in the power cell. Such would result in a large scale implosion up to 3,000 clicks, rapidly energising the azurite element to continue its cycle until the potential energy expires.
To get around the minimum and maximum expenditure, an auxiliary generator is installed near the front of the vessel as a safety harness feature. The applicant is installed with an accompanying compressor on the main grid, using a grid meter to monitor the condition of the energy circuit.
Should the powercore overstress and over commit too much energy, the first failsafe trips, activating the auxiliary generator. The second failsafe acts upon the condition of the power cores radiation emissions, absorbing the ions and measuring the decay. Overcharged ions caused from an imminent implosion will trigger the second safety condition, causing the ionic dampeners to be applied. From there, the cell would be left to the fate of the Technocrat technicians to engage a sterilisation beam to safely decharge an unstable core.
ARMOR PLATING SPECIFICATION
Quote:
The chassis of the vessel is developed to allow the body to remain relatively manoeuvrable whilst providing decent protection. An inner reinforced structure is made for the main reactor, specially treated with a composite metal composing of iridium, molybdenum, manganese and vanadium. This ultimately provides a great resistor for the core to ensure all the energy is contained within the chambers and that it is resistant to corrosion. Maintenance regarding the internal framework will need to be performed at a specialist facility, such as Valravn Citadel.
The armored shell of the hull is reinforced with ablative armor plating composite, providing sufficient stability and durability against the environment of space. The plating also permits for resisting attacks from other war vessels, though not as valiant as the heavier composite series such as the 'Deuro' heavy duty plating used in large dreadnoughts.
To offset the negatives of the lighter hull, a thin treatment was applied to the outer layers of the chassis, where in the treatment effectively refracts the surrounding native energy, causing long range radars to be unable to properly determine the vessel. Naturally within an area with environmental disturbances such as nebulae, this may make the vessel virtually invisible, unless detected by shortwave scanners, or simply the eye.
Treatment of the metallurgy involves iridium, platinum and a chemical substance which is found on Gaia. Said chemical is a formula found in the byproduct of a native species of plant, which are used to produce the mixture of minerals and metals, fusing the elements together to make a basic "scaling" effect. The chemicals in the plant appear somewhat akin to oil, providing a glimmering shine with various colours washing around, this is because of particulates that are negatively charged. Upon adding a positive charge and a catalyst, the ph of the chemical decreases and produces a very bleak grey colour as the particles are charged, and excited with some energy. The particles act as a mirror of sorts, refracting elements around it to a minor degree. Those who observe this phenomenon from a distance would be reminded of the oasis illusion, where heat waves produce a "shimmer" effect, such may occur as the perspective at the distance skews the energy that is being warped. Observers at a close range may see the ship hull as off colour as the compound is dulled down by the coating, as not all the light waves on the spectrum are able to get through, and as such, the illusion appears.
BRIDGE & COMMAND CENTRE
Quote:
The command deck contains the vessel overrides in the case of an emergency. Although the Technocrat security protocol will still be in procedure, requiring the life forms to contain the genuine Technocrat signal. The tactical command deck overrides over varying regions of the ship, including but not limited to: The reactor core. The hangars. Living quarters. Armory. Medbay. The auxiliary generators. The propulsion pipeline. Maintenance shafts and the cargo bay along with communications. The bridge is considered the master override in the event of a hostile invasion, permitting the Commander emergency powers, including self catastrophic catalyst core collapse in the main reactor. The codes for self detonation can only be remotely approved by uplink. The main access point for the ships internal AI rests within the Command section of the vessel, meaning that only higher personnel may access the port if the situations requires such.
