Following analysis of the successful strike through Tau-23 into Gallia, Kusari naval planners and strategists have voiced concern that the significant number of wrecks and debris fields along the Tau-23 corridor could restrict a similar operation carried out with less favorable auspices. Thousands of ships from decades of conflict litter the corridor, and the Indochine hulk orbits Tau-23 unoccupied, an attraction to all number of undesirables. In an effort to secure its hold over the corridor in a politically-sensitive way, the Kusari Finance Ministry has contracted the salvaging of Indochine to a small group of zoners interested in developing lasting stores of materials for repairs and construction in the far edge worlds. Not only does the sale keep any useful technology aboard Indochine out of the hands of other Houses but it also reinforces Kusari's favorability among the populace of Freeport 6.
The winning contractor, Weller Brothers, Inc., has established a small assembly point next to the wreck to stage salvaged materials and expects its in-house crews to be on site for some time. However, their logistical strength to move those materials remains lacking. Oliver Weller has decided to solicit subcontract bids from other Sirian corporations to move salvaged components to Livadia Shipyard in Omicron Kappa, where he has leased storage facilities for the time being. With an eye toward efficiency to impress their employers, his brother Noah is offering significant bonuses for rapid delivery in hopes of spurring competition between their various subcontractors. In some cases, "purposeful subterfuge" is expected to keep competition high.
Bids will open on January 27th at 19:00 UTC. Interested prospective subcontractor groups (corporate IDs only) may submit a bid provided below once bids open. Six to Eight subcontracts may be available and will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis.
Date:
January 29th - January 31st
Rule changes:
All registered subcontractors (corporate IDs only) will receive a Barge and an assigned material from the assembly point in Tau-23. Those materials must be delivered to Lavidia Shipyard by the end of the event.
Jumping the Barge will not be allowed.
Proof of completion must be posted in this thread prior to the event's end and may only be completed once per registered subcontractor group.
Each Barge may only be pirated/engaged by other registered subcontractor IDs (anywhere). The Barge may not be destroyed by the pirating ship(s), but it must combat dock if its health drops below 10%. After a combat dock, the Barge is considered PvP Dead for one (1) hour. All other pirating rules apply.
Successful forced docks by competing subcontractor IDs should be posted here with evidence and shall be rewarded.
The Barge may only be escorted by ships of the same ID, and doing so is highly suggested. Escorts may only be pirated/engaged by other registered subcontractor IDs (anywhere).
If the registering group has a tag, either official or unofficial, you may select a name with your tag.
Bumping or ramming any barge intentionally will not be tolerated.
