Neighbours from Crayter Republic within the Tau-44 system. I am Anton Fomin, a Captain to the warship Auriga, and one of the Founders of Borneo Mining Syndicate. Let our name do not distract you: we have no ties to the criminals but a joint effort of commercial and security interests of the Guild, Colonial civilians and military personnel, and just strangers who desired to join our organization.
As must be understood from our name, our start was on, or rather over, planet Borneo. We are the so-called angry miners with picks and guns, and our primary concern is the Tau-44 and her security. Nevertheless, despite some radicalism, we are not interested in war. As merchants of the Natio should know, bearing in mind their experience, the war often harmful for the business. Our primary field is drilling and processing of niobium ore, and secondary, as you could have guessed, is protecting Taus from everyone who wants to claim this rich and independent space as their territory.
However, we are not the IMG, which holds endless grudges on Bretonia for Aland. We are not the Crayter, with their offend on Gauls for events that happened almost a decade ago. We are as well not Natio Octavarium, nor willing to be. We are Borneo Mining Syndicate, and we won't let any menace ever appear in our home.
Yet, despite our differences, we share the same goals of pushing the Outcasts out of Taus and securing the Tau-44 as our home. While we are neither IMG nor CR, we still have undeniable roots in both organizations. We are, despite being the angry miners of Taus, do not wish to be angry at you as there are not any reasons, yet and we hope that this communication becomes the first step in all-too-necessary cooperation for... survival.
As we said before, we specialize in Niobium ore extraction. We could undertake the considerable task of establishing a modular installation within Tau-23, however, we look into Tau-44 and we see an untouched gem that does not show much activity: Melbourne Station. We do not seek the station's ownership, as our numbers are not big enough to spread resources to take the mundane matters of station administration. Instead, we come with an offer.
That station has some ample storage facilities that we could rent and bring some trade opportunities to the system as a result, you have the opportunity to make a profit by being part of the distribution chain, not to mention the added bonus of less maintenance workload on your part, as we would have stakes on the station, we would not want it to fall to disrepair. In return for storage rental and additional escorts for situations where our own security forces do not prove to be sufficient, we are willing to share a small cut of our profits.
I look forward to your responses.
Anton Fomin,
Captain of CV Auriga Borneo Mining Syndicate
I am pleased to finally meet an organisation which is friendly in this corner of space.
As you know, we are the Crayter Republic but here in the Tau 44, we have developed our own entity as we have different ethnic and cultural groups, ranging from Crayterians to Sirians and Gauls. We welcome everyone in our space as long as it does not endangers our citizens and residents.
Regarding Melbourne, you are right. The Station was evacuated during the Orange Hammer and now we are trying to recover from their strike in Tau 44, where I must thank also the Guild units for their assistance in the defence of the system. I will grant your organisation rights on the station and we could sign them on Gemini Colony, but largely it can be used as a storage unit.
You mentioned a desire to keep the Tau's clear of pirates and entities that prey on an innocent civilian. Before the Gallic invasion, we used to do that and we were always there to bail civilians, fighting all type of pirate. With the Gallic threat, we have developed to a different fleet but in our arrogance, we forgot those we swear to protect, we fought invaders but we left something behind. I, as the Crayterian Governor of Tau 44, want to re-establish that position, especially in the Tau 23 and Tau 37, systems in which the IMG has stations. But again, we are delayed due to the Orange Hammer operation which was executed against us. We kept on to the system but we need assistance and I wish to see if we can talk about this when you arrive in Gemini Colony. Tau 44 needs all of us to keep it safe.
We can discuss there more about profits and projects. I hope you will agree that this is required and needed for everyone in the Tau Region.
The Syndicate is capable to provide logistics assistance and reinforce the garrison of Melbourne. Our primary interest is indeed the exploitation of this station as a relatively secured storage for our goods and a place where we can process extracted ore for further use or sale. While Java is closer to Niobium deposits, frequent attacks of the Outcasts reduce her value as storage but making the station a well-secured outpost which will serve its purpose for the joint forces against the Outcasts.
While we remain relatively weak in comparison to the Guild, the organization is involved in many internal tensions among the different branches of the Guild, which may serve well our purpose of making Taus free of house influence and pirates as well. I believe you shall agree with me, that their attempts to bring agenda to Taus so far was rather harmful than helpful, nevertheless, the Syndicate understands our weakness in comparison to house militaries and we are ready to accept their help on mutually beneficial terms. Would you do the same, if there be such need?
Nevertheless, we can discuss all this in person if you agree to a meeting aboard Minato, for example. Despite being damaged, I heard there are great places for performing such meetings in a survived biodome. Awaiting your answer, Governor.
Sir, my dream and the dream of Republic in Tau is to make it as safely as possible for law-abiding citizens and I think you know or learned, as I am not sure of your ancestry, but the Crayterian laws and the Legal System is pretty much as liberal as it can be without affecting the State and all of the citizens, a place where we embrace the cultural diversity that Sirius brought to us and learn from it.
The recent wars have put more pressure on the Republic, especially with the Hades incident. That leaves me nowhere, in Tau 44 and Tau region with only the 39th Battlegroup, lead by Triton and Atlantis. With that regards, I would humbly request your defence units to coordinate with us to keep this System free so we can have a safe haven for all lawful.
Due to the urgency on the matter, I took the liberty to prepare a somewhat list of goods we need to repair our stations and to reinforce, as I asked Marshall Duncan to send more Regiments to Borneo to reinforce planetside. I also prepared most of the interceptors to be prepared for Combat duties as I ordered them to get trained with the Nyx and Pytho, to replace the losses locally.
I am going to attach to this message a list of materials which you may distribute among IMG and see who wants to help, as I will also look to our allies and neighbours to complete this request, also, if you have any people willing to fight and not having enough vessels, please send them to Borneo to be joining our Autonomous Militia Groups for training and equipment.
I, however, need to meet you and discussed some matters of utmost importance, which I dare not send on a message, due to security reasons. Shall we say, in 10 hours time, on Minato?
We're dispatching our transport to provide assistance with these repairs. If you have a specially developed communication terminal for delivery bills, share access to it with us. In the meanwhile, our paramilitary corps is well ready to assist you both in space and on the ground. We will make sure the Tau-44 is free of Outcasts plague.
I shall attend the meeting, and I hope you will abstain from turning it into political debates, Governor.
Commander, please have your pilots report to this comm message with any deliveries they are going to make and I will take it out from our list and I appreciate your support and assistance. Have you heard anything from the other branches of IMG or you are also cut from the rest of the Guild?
I shall see you soon on Minato.
Regards,
Aeryn Condor
Tau 44 Governor
Crayter Republic
Affimative. Will re-direct their reports to this channel. And we did not hear anything from other branches of the Guild; they went silent after Guildmistress Celeste Ludenberg disappeared. What caused your interest in our contact with the rest of the Guild?
