His drones were being destroyed time after time, and his engineers needed more resources, more men, more time to make more and keep up with the rate at which they were being destroyed.
He needed resources.
The Immortal Hunter silently pushed it's way through a large green nebula, several thousand kilometres from Leeds. They had hidden out here, hours away from the centre of the system, to repair, re-arm, remake.
His 5 Sabre drones had been destroyed, his gunship had been supernova'd, the blast from the weapon ripping through the hull like a hot knife through butter. Each defeat stung, he wanted to destroy these people, wanted to kill them all, wanted to rip the life from them and take his revenge. All that was happening now was them making a fool of him.
He needed a new plan.
The Junker's would sometimes sell some alloys and ship parts for a good price... he quickly turned on the communications scrambler and dictated a message:

To the Junkers.
I am willing to pay up to 2 million credits for each shipment of Alloys, metals and ship parts you can bring me. I need engine components, ship hull panels, basic alloys, scrap metal and H-fuel. Bring me 20 of each and recieve the rewards. If you are interested, respond on this channel.
My name isn't important.

He leant back in his chair and smiled. Soon he would get more ships to attack the Bretonians with. He idly thought about other pilots...pilots to help him. Now should he recruit people, or ally with the Kusarians? He had no problems with Kusarians... perhaps that would be a good idea. He typed up another message and prepared to read it out.

Greetings to the Kusarians.
You may have seen me around Leeds, attacking and destroying the Bretonians, and I was wondering if you wanted to join me in some attacks. Granted, my luck hasn't been up recently, but I have a large amount of power at my disposal, and want to see the Bretonians burn as much as you do... if you are interested, please respond on this channel.
Salazar.

Now...now to wait. Perhaps this would turn out well, perhaps he could help the Kusarians. It would allow him access to repairs and regenerative supplies...useful things.

Ive recived your transmission Mr...... Un-important.
While you do make a good offer for a simple task, I think you will find that many Junkers wont work with somone who hides who they are. You could be a threat or could be trying to pull a fast one on us.
Basicaly Im saying your getting nothing till we know who you are. Your name IS important.

Greetings. My crew and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting you while on patrol in Seto. Your advice on how to deal with prisoners has provided us much entertainment. The Hogosha sent us here to both support the Navy's mission by harassing Bretonia's war effort and to provide protection to the Kusari people within Oga and Daisin. Since we would be fools to reject an opportunity to help cleanse the system of the crumpet-munching filth, you can count on us to support any attacks on Bretonia within Seto while we are on duty.
Unfortunately, our ship is undergoing repairs and will not be battle-ready until at least Sunday. However, once the ship repairs are complete, we'll be honored to join you.
You say I could be a threat? Oh, but I am...to Bretonians. I suppose you are one aswell, but what would I have to gain by destroying you? How would I get even more resources?
He sat in his quarters aboard his salvage frigate. He was reading through the messages on his main screen.
He paused for a moment and turned the page of his manifest, casting a beady eye over the stock figures.
He paused for thought for a few moments before switching on his com system.
Sir
While we would be happy to sell to you these parts, a slight problem remains.
While you claim not to be a threat to us, you make it clear that you are to Bretonians. That, in my book, puts you in league with either the Corsairs or the Kusari.
If Corsair aligned, that's fine by us. Wish to remain anonymous? Most of our clients do, but we do need to know who we're doing business with. It will be kept confidential. We usually don't store our clients information after business is complete, unless there's a good chance of repeat business. What we also do need is a location.
If Kusari aligned, that's not so fine. As you may or may not be aware, we are currently fighting our own little war if you like, blanketed by the Bretonian-Kusari war, with the objective of keeping the Hogosha from expanding into Bretonian systems. This is making us somewhat unpopular with Hogosha's bed chums the Farmers Alliance, among a few others.
If you are Kusari aligned, we cannot sell you materials which could ultimately end up being used offensively against Junkers.
If you wish to do business with us, we only ask for the minimum information to be given: Your name, your factional alignment and a suitable location for both parties to be safe in conducting a transaction.
I await your reply.

"Good news everyone. I suddenly and unexpectedly have job vacancies for an entire spaceship crew!"
Salazar snarled as he read the screen. Such annoying individuals.

My name? Salazar Kithe.
My factional alignment? Doesn't exist. I hate Bretonians, others I have no problem with, unless they anger me. I do not fight any others, I do not support anyone unless they help me kill Bretonians. Any alliance that I make is purely for killing my enemies, or resupplying my ship so I can kill more.
A safe place for conduction of our transaction? The Leeds system. You arrive there and I will direct you to a specific location.
Any further information on me can be found in the history archives of Bretonia, located here.
It would seem that our friend Salzar here has been having problems lately. The other day he fell victim to one of our Ensigns, AN ENSIGN OF ALL PEOPLE. So much for hunting them eh?
