I recently started a new character, LNS Greystone. I have Liberty Navy ID and Navy IFF also purchased a Basic Cruiser.
Now, I have had several ppl tell me I cannot have this ship, in addition, I must have a Guard ID.
My thought was if you had the Liberty Gaurd AssualtCruiser I would need the Guard ID.
I purchased the (basic)Liberty Cruiser at the Shipyard in NY.
SO, I worked my butt off to get the guard nuetral and to find out the id has the same stipulations as the naval id, I am really confused on what id to have and this is turning into less fun. I wish to participat in the RP portion properly without issue from too many know-it-alls.
What is the actual proceedure?
Oh yes, an individual stated I must join a faction here in Discovery now that I have a Capital ship.
Easy, first off read the server rules, second read the ID you have and the ID that other cruisers have. Now you can see....... That to pilot your ship you MUST have a guard ID.
The LN Guard ID is designed for capitals and the official [LN] faction. All cruisers and above must have this ID, simple as that.
Basically: Yes, you can have that ship and No, you don't have to be part of any official faction. Just don't abuse the cap ship by engaging fighters and such.
Oh, and search for the Navy Capital ship registration thread. It'd be good to have your ship listed there. (Its under the laws thread in RP Hub...I think)
Have a good time in Liberty. Any problems, ask me, [LN]-Jack.Malrone.
