Sender:Lefina Elwyn Recipient:Junior Constable Elizabeth Frederica Beurling Source:GG-07 Artio, Edinburgh. Priority:High Subject:Gaia, Gallia and Goodwill.
Greetings, constable. I am Lefina Elwyn, captain of the Gaian destroyer GG-07 Artio - the very same that has recently appeared in New London's space and has doubtless turned more than a few lawful eyes.
Please do not be alarmed by this message or its header. This is no declaration of war, nor do I speak on behalf of the Gaian Guard.
I am sending this message on the advice of HMS Howe's commander-in-chief, which we have encountered in New London's space alongside a BPA vessel as we were conducting early engine trials, to aid in future adjustments and repairs.
It appears neither individual were informed of the prior talks we have entertained with vice admiral Oliver Myles, of the BRF, and showed - understandably - disbelief at our claims of an arrangement having been negotiated between us, in the spirit of our former cooperation in the face of the (now resurgent) Gallic threat.
To lend substance to said claims and in order to ensure smooth relations, I have attached a transcript of the original encounter with the BAF, BRP and BPA forces in New London. You will find highlighted the sections most relevant to the matter at hand, for your convenience, but I should think you will find the rest of the exchanges... informative, if you will, about our stances.

[24.04.2021 16:48:20] OS&C|TE~Red~Velvet~Club: Cait: Greetings BAF
[24.04.2021 16:48:24] Artio: C.: Sorry to hear that, miss Cait. One would think we'd have left prejudices like those behind centuries ag- oh damn!
[24.04.2021 16:48:36] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Oh dear..
[24.04.2021 16:49:10] Artio: S: Bloody hell there weren't THIS MANY defences back then!
[24.04.2021 16:49:34] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: The Admiralty has apparently been generous with their allowance here.
[24.04.2021 16:50:09] Artio: E: They, ah... haven't, truth be told.
[24.04.2021 16:50:43] Artio: S: HMS Hood, this is Gaian destroyer Artio. I know how unlikely this must all sound, but we were accompanying the OSC liner
[24.04.2021 16:50:50] Artio: -and we mean no harm.
[24.04.2021 16:51:13] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: If that is so, then you will have no quarrel with returning to what business would have you.
[24.04.2021 16:52:00] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Goodmorrow, Constant.
[24.04.2021 16:52:06] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Howdy!
[24.04.2021 16:52:17] Artio: E: Not at all, sir. Though... we'd welcome the opportunity to talk for a while, later.
[24.04.2021 16:52:20] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Contact on our scanners
[24.04.2021 16:53:02] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Constant, this Gaian has claimed to have been escorting an Orbital luxury liner that moored with the Capital.
[24.04.2021 16:53:11] Artio: E: Before we leave the area, I'll ask just to make certain. Our truce, the one struck during the Gallic invasion - is it no-
[24.04.2021 16:53:15] Artio: -longer valid?
[24.04.2021 16:53:42] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: To my knowledge, Gaian, I believe that such a truce is indeed void.
[24.04.2021 16:53:50] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Sir Holland, to be fair I haven't seen that destroyer until just now
[24.04.2021 16:53:58] Artio: C.: *long sigh.*
[24.04.2021 16:54:41] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I understand. I am merely offering you my observation as I was first to witness him within the grid.
[24.04.2021 16:54:51] Artio: S: That's right, Constant. Couldn't have seen us - we've been stuck in space outside Bretonia for bloody years by now.
[24.04.2021 16:54:56] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: And, to correct, it is 'Ms.' Holland, sir.
[24.04.2021 16:55:15] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Alright then *sips tea*. What should we do with that Gaian?
[24.04.2021 16:55:35] Artio: S: Left to fight the goddamn Gauls off in the Tau, raiding their convoys. Come back to see... all this.
[24.04.2021 16:56:03] Artio: S: It's been a /long/ day.
[24.04.2021 16:56:11] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: The Gaians were once able comrades against the Gallic invasion. This one appears to enjoy words over weapons.
[24.04.2021 16:56:41] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: If he is willing and able to depart of his own volition, I am more than willing to let him do such.
[24.04.2021 16:56:59] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Though I will need to confirm with the Orbital captain as to his 'escort' story.
[24.04.2021 16:57:04] Artio: E: Ah... glad to see our efforts haven't been forgotten, captain.
[24.04.2021 16:57:12] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Right. This needs more investigation
[24.04.2021 16:57:19] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: This one isn't openly hostile
[24.04.2021 16:57:31] [*USI*]Ghazriel: Greetings officers! I see you are busy. Thank you for your duty!
[24.04.2021 16:57:48] Artio: E: Feel free to inquire. We had met them in Gaia's orbit, and we had a long chat about... well, everything we'd missed, more or
[24.04.2021 16:58:24] Artio: less. To break an argument with a fellow Gaian, we suggested we could follow them to see if the refugee situation must indeed-
[24.04.2021 16:58:43] Artio: -be solved by allowing them on Gaia's soil, rather than some other planet.
[24.04.2021 16:59:30] Artio: S: Was better than allowing them to bicker on for ages... and besides, we really don't know who's right there. If either even -
[24.04.2021 16:59:34] Artio: is, really.
[24.04.2021 17:00:18] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I see.
[24.04.2021 17:01:12] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Forgive my lack of consideration, but the the business of refugees is the business of the Queen's government, but her-
[24.04.2021 17:01:15] BRF|HMS-Hood: -soldiers.
[24.04.2021 17:02:00] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Again, I will need to confirm your claims, but consideration for the downtrodden is unexpected from Gaians I would say
[24.04.2021 17:02:19] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Though perhaps my understanding of your organization is dated.
[24.04.2021 17:02:38] Artio: E: The liner claimed to be transporting refugees to the surface, captain. My XO can confirm via cargo scans that indeed looked-
[24.04.2021 17:02:38] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: To reiterate, how did this Gaian even end up here?
[24.04.2021 17:03:09] Artio: like the case, but we've no idea about any arrangements you may have.
[24.04.2021 17:03:19] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: He was seen entering the grid via the lane from the Dublin gate, directly behind the Orbital liner that landed on the-
[24.04.2021 17:03:21] BRF|HMS-Hood: -Capital.
[24.04.2021 17:03:51] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: If I am correct the Gaians usually target Planetform and Orbital
[24.04.2021 17:04:02] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: That is my understanding as well.
[24.04.2021 17:04:19] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: This one, however, claimed to be "escorting" an Orbital ship
[24.04.2021 17:04:22] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: A change in the case of refugees is obviously welcome, but understand Gaian that it is rather unusual.
[24.04.2021 17:05:07] Artio: L: No more unusual than us joining forces and making common cause, at least for once, captain.
[24.04.2021 17:05:44] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: You make a fair point.
[24.04.2021 17:05:51] Artio: L: Your scepticism is entirely warranted and I will not begrudge you for it, but - as we had left our shipyards to face the-
[24.04.2021 17:06:35] Artio: Gaul onslaught, we swore we would hold them off our planets and our people. Because they ARE ours, after all's said and done.
[24.04.2021 17:06:51] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: I remember the times during the Gallic war, the times where the Gallics did inhumane things
[24.04.2021 17:07:06] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: A far worse enemy. Did you ever fight the Gallics?
[24.04.2021 17:07:24] Artio: L: Admittedly, I've always been one more willing than most of my brethren to join forces rather than shoot each other...
[24.04.2021 17:08:13] Artio: S: We have, Constant. It's why this destroyer was commissioned, along a few others - we raided their lines in the Taus for the-
[24.04.2021 17:08:52] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: So you were against the Gallics?
[24.04.2021 17:09:00] Artio: most part, taking advantage of our superior agility and, er, experience with ambushes. Worked well for a while...
[24.04.2021 17:09:51] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: The Gallics did claim Edinburgh, then the Enclave, and now back to our hands. What does this tell you now?
[24.04.2021 17:10:08] Artio: L: Yes. To my knowledge, most of our brethren were. Few liked it, even among my crew, but...
[24.04.2021 17:11:13] Artio: L: ... I have little appetite for bloodshed among us, if that's what you're implying. I maintain a greater foe remains, and-
[24.04.2021 17:11:28] Artio: that's the damned Gauls if they ever dare to come back.
[24.04.2021 17:12:19] Artio: S: That's the one thing we've known for certain in all these years, basically adrift. Now we're met with all this stuff, it's-
[24.04.2021 17:13:09] Artio: hard to say what's our line now. Hell, look at us - we're talking to you, two BAF warships, and none of us are in escape pods-
[24.04.2021 17:13:11] Artio: yet!
[24.04.2021 17:14:43] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Indeed. Times have changed, though some of your compatriots may not share your sentiment.
[24.04.2021 17:14:47] Artio: S: The captain's too nice for her own good, I say, but I can't really fault her here. Whatever was then, doesn't go now.
[24.04.2021 17:15:05] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Hmm... so you prefer dialogue. Have you ever heard of other Gaians who are very radical?
[24.04.2021 17:15:21] Artio: L: Indeed. The Gaian we met was much more hostile to the liner...
[24.04.2021 17:15:34] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I am inclined to believe that individuals exist among their peers. Not all who share the blood share the-
[24.04.2021 17:15:37] BRF|HMS-Hood: -modus operandi.
[24.04.2021 17:15:56] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: The Gaians were originally scientists, but somehow they became too radical to accept change
[24.04.2021 17:16:23] Artio: S: Beats me, Constant. What's a radical to you? Back then, before the Gauls, pretty much was 'all of us'.
[24.04.2021 17:17:04] Artio: S: We had to take a stand against the ecocide BMM and Planetform were perpetrating. And you know I'm right - evidence's all-
[24.04.2021 17:17:07] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: People who choose illogical ways such as terrorism and piracy
[24.04.2021 17:17:12] Artio: over Bretonia.
[24.04.2021 17:17:31] Artio: L: Sean, please.
[24.04.2021 17:18:23] Artio: S: Didn't have much else to make our voices heard, Constant. When reason fails, guns do the talking. Always been that way.
[24.04.2021 17:18:32] Artio: L: Unfortunately...
[24.04.2021 17:19:12] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: I understand it's a hard situation, but we do the same to those found terrorizing our assets here
[24.04.2021 17:20:30] Artio: L: It's a vicious circle, I know. And it's so hard to break, with each side getting more entrenched with each action...
[24.04.2021 17:20:47] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Understand that BMM and Planetform are also responsible for the possibility of life in the Kingdom.
[24.04.2021 17:21:18] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Without the former, we have no defense, and without the latter, we have no way to better Bretonian standards of living
[24.04.2021 17:21:54] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Considering how our fleet has been battered by years of warfare, first with Kusari, and second by the Royalists
[24.04.2021 17:22:23] Artio: S: Already heard those claims. You're probably right too, but the mess they've made - and maybe they're still leaving behind -
[24.04.2021 17:22:35] Artio: is as much a problem than the ones they're fixing.
[24.04.2021 17:22:36] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: We all have suffered, from things like the glassing of Leeds and New London, these are far worse things for you
[24.04.2021 17:23:11] Artio: L: Sean, please. Let's leave that matter to rest for now.
[24.04.2021 17:23:24] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I won't argue your point, Gaian, but without their services Bretonia would be but a shadow of what it is even now.
[24.04.2021 17:23:30] Artio: S: ...
[24.04.2021 17:24:24] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: If I recall, efforts are being made to protect what remains of Gaia's last untouched biomes. I believe it was even-
[24.04.2021 17:24:28] Artio: L: Lefina, please. Captain Lefina Elwyn. For all I know, we may not even pass as 'proper' Gaians anymore.
[24.04.2021 17:24:30] BRF|HMS-Hood: -being done before the war began.
[24.04.2021 17:25:27] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Our main concerns right now are with the Mollys, the Corsairs, and the Coalition
[24.04.2021 17:25:44] Artio: L: And... you're right, Constant, I'll concede that. Out of all the bad news we received, Leeds's annhilation and Gaia's-
[24.04.2021 17:25:56] Artio: -invasion have been by far the most... heartbreaking ones.
[24.04.2021 17:26:05] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: The Mollys for their acts against BMM, the Corsairs for their rampant piracy, and the Coalition for their radical
[24.04.2021 17:26:16] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: ideology and sympathizing with the Mollys
[24.04.2021 17:27:35] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I doubt the Gaians need a reminder as to why we fight those ones.
[24.04.2021 17:27:48] Artio: S: ... Sounds like business as usual. At least that hasn't changed much.
[24.04.2021 17:27:53] Death: Lug_It was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[24.04.2021 17:28:06] Artio: L: *sighs.* It appears it hasn't, no.
[24.04.2021 17:29:29] Artio: L: What of the Gauls? The OSC liner said they've backed off. Have we won?
[24.04.2021 17:29:58] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Technically this could be considered an improvement since we don't have to face attacks by the Gallics anymore
[24.04.2021 17:30:03] Death: Falconhawks was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[24.04.2021 17:30:32] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Against the Enclave, it is hard to tell. I heard word of a contingent of our soldiers fighting Royal ships in Dublin-
[24.04.2021 17:30:36] BRF|HMS-Hood: -just yesterday.
[24.04.2021 17:30:55] Artio: L: Enclave?
[24.04.2021 17:31:04] Artio: S: The liner said something about remnants...
[24.04.2021 17:31:11] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Haven't heard the news, sorry. It seems the Royalists are back
[24.04.2021 17:31:48] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Whatever their goal is, they want to restore the old kingdom which everyone in Bretonia is familiar of
[24.04.2021 17:31:52] Artio: S: Hah! Hear that, captain? The bastards are back!
[24.04.2021 17:31:54] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: This comes from second-hand information. A linked report from a BIS gunboat that helped fend off the band.
[24.04.2021 17:32:18] Artio: S: Maybe we can make up for our absence!
[24.04.2021 17:32:22] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I have doubts that it is the Enclave we know, as they have gotten cozy at home once more.
[24.04.2021 17:32:34] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: But the Gauls are a stubborn bunch.
[24.04.2021 17:32:46] Artio: S: Damn right they are. But so are we.
[24.04.2021 17:33:05] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Now they have reorganized themselves as the Union. Who knows if some Royalists are loyal to the new Gallic state?
[24.04.2021 17:33:17] Artio: S: Limped back all the way from uncharted bloody space just to keep fighting, and what do you know, we weren't the only ones.
[24.04.2021 17:33:30] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: The Maquis are still a presence, and they want to free Gallia from royalist influence
[24.04.2021 17:33:41] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: The ships in the report did not seem to be sporting standard Gallic markings.
[24.04.2021 17:34:16] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Perhaps it is an interesting intelligence ploy, or perhaps there are still those who swear fealty to the 'King'.
[24.04.2021 17:34:56] Artio: L: Whatever the case may be, captains, know that the oath we swore when we first launch still stands. At least for us.
[24.04.2021 17:35:41] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Perhaps as you seem to operate within the Taus primarily, and still despise the Royal menace, you would be willing to-
[24.04.2021 17:35:53] BRF|HMS-Hood: -coordinate intelligence to better identify this new threat.
[24.04.2021 17:36:23] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: It's logical you would fight the Royalists, since the Taus are a hotspot for conflicts
[24.04.2021 17:37:48] Artio: L: As I say, our oath still stands. We pledged to drive away the invaders from our peoples and our planets, and preserve the-
[24.04.2021 17:38:18] Artio: sanctity of Gaia, and this we will do still... or make up for it now.
[24.04.2021 17:39:27] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I believe that you will, Ms. Elwyn.
[24.04.2021 17:39:41] Artio: L: I and my crew will gladly join forces with you once more in this endeavour. As for the details... it would be best if we-
[24.04.2021 17:39:54] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: I understand, hopefully there would be no more incidents
[24.04.2021 17:40:34] Artio: discussed them somewhere more quiet, and possibly after we have seen the Artio repaired. The long journey has left us barely
[24.04.2021 17:40:59] Artio: fit for combat, let alone major actions.
[24.04.2021 17:43:08] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Indeed. Should you wish to depart for those repairs, you are welcome to.
[24.04.2021 17:43:19] Artio: L: If the Gauls are back on the warpath, I fear there will be... but you have none to fear from us.
[24.04.2021 17:43:50] Artio: S: We should get to it, captain. The sooner we get it done, the sooner we can get back in the actual fight.
[24.04.2021 17:44:25] Artio: S: These bastards have it coming, and I want to give them a piece of Leeds or ten...
[24.04.2021 17:44:26] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Howdy!
[24.04.2021 17:44:43] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Good evening, captains.
[24.04.2021 17:44:52] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Goodmorrow, Minotaur.
[24.04.2021 17:45:03] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Howdy there, captain of the Minotaur
[24.04.2021 17:45:26] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: I believe, that you have this situation well handled.
[24.04.2021 17:45:53] Artio: L: Greetings, Minotaur. In case you haven't been warned, know that we mean no harm - and that we are still willing to join-
[24.04.2021 17:45:58] Artio: forces.
[24.04.2021 17:46:27] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I will endeavour to inform the proper individuals of your willingness to work with the Kingdom against our mutual-
[24.04.2021 17:46:48] BRF|HMS-Hood: -adversary, Ms. Elwyn.
[24.04.2021 17:47:04] Artio: S: Before we leave- yeah, exactly. Thanks, miss Holland. We almost got melted when we reached New London.
[24.04.2021 17:47:07] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: That would be the Royalists, if I remember
[24.04.2021 17:47:18] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Indeed.
[24.04.2021 17:47:29] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Goodmorrow, Cromartyshire.
[24.04.2021 17:47:34] Artio: S: Probably shouldn't have followed that closely...
[24.04.2021 17:47:41] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Maybe Bretonia Royal Fleet's admiral Oliver Myles or his superiors would be best option for you, Artio.
[24.04.2021 17:47:42] BPA)Cromartyshire: Why isnt this Gaian arrested already?
[24.04.2021 17:47:43] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: I believe their presence still lingers even within Bretonia
[24.04.2021 17:48:38] Artio: L: For what it's worth, we will inquire with our comrades and see if they can't aid with tracking the Royalists.
[24.04.2021 17:49:18] Artio: L: I cannot vouch for their behaviour or their willingness to assist, but I am fairly certain they still have any more love for
[24.04.2021 17:49:42] Artio: the Gauls than any of us do. Maybe even less than that, now.
[24.04.2021 17:49:47] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I'm certain such information will be invaluable to both of us, Ms. Elwyn.
[24.04.2021 17:51:33] Artio: S: No doubt. Likewise, we'd appreciate it if you too could share their movements... but we should probably go talk with your-
[24.04.2021 17:52:00] Artio: admiral first. He'll probably want to hear about this all. Maybe even get a nice laugh out of it.
[24.04.2021 17:52:33] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Perhaps he would. I do not know him well enough to assume that he would or not.
[24.04.2021 17:53:27] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Good evening. We have a guest, it seems.
[24.04.2021 17:53:41] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Good evening, admiral.
[24.04.2021 17:53:47] Artio: S: If he's got a taste for irony, he will. Oh - is that the one?
[24.04.2021 17:53:54] BPA)Cromartyshire: I am trying to understand why BRF forces are not arresting this Gaian.
[24.04.2021 17:54:07] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: I believe it is. Goodmorrow, sir.
[24.04.2021 17:54:15] BPA)Jr.Con.Graham: Whats this?
[24.04.2021 17:54:22] BPA)Cromartyshire: Just seems like a convorsation to me.
[24.04.2021 17:54:51] BPA)Cromartyshire: A hostile entity at the Crowns Door Step and BRF just wants to make friends with it.
[24.04.2021 17:54:55] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Officer, this Gaian was seen escorting an Orbital liner to the capital, and has since offered to acquire intelligence-
[24.04.2021 17:54:57] Artio: L: This Gaian has no intention of fighting other Bretons, nor cause harm to any of you.
[24.04.2021 17:55:07] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Sir, there is no need for violence.
[24.04.2021 17:55:08] BRF|HMS-Hood: -against the apparent resurgenct Royalist threat.
[24.04.2021 17:55:12] BPA)Jr.Con.Graham: "This Gaian"?
[24.04.2021 17:55:26] Artio: L: Is this really the kind of talk you want to have when there's Gauls still knocking on your door, Cromartyshire?
[24.04.2021 17:55:31] BPA)Cromartyshire: A hostile Warship at the Crowns Doorstep.
[24.04.2021 17:55:32] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: From what I have heard this Gaian prefers dialogue, rather than the usual terrorist ways
[24.04.2021 17:55:41] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Apologies. 'These' Gaians. There are two voices coming from the ship in question.
[24.04.2021 17:56:19] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Police Captains, you heard what the Gaian said. They do not wish to harm other Bretonians.
[24.04.2021 17:56:48] BPA)Cromartyshire: I am Commander Kingston. The Law is clear. This is a Hostile Warship at Her Majesties door step. This is an outrage.
[24.04.2021 17:56:50] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: I am sure we can allow them here so long as they do not pose a threat to us and civilians.
[24.04.2021 17:56:57] Artio: L: Lefina Elwyn, admiral. Captain of the... well, you're seeing it. Gaian destroyer Artio.
[24.04.2021 17:57:11] Artio: S: Sean Winthrop. Her XO.
[24.04.2021 17:57:35] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Vice Admiral of the Auxiliary, Oliver Myles on the line.
[24.04.2021 17:57:50] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Commander Kingston, with all due respect, this matter is handled by the Armed Forces.
[24.04.2021 17:58:00] BPA)Cromartyshire: I will be speaking to the Admirality then.
[24.04.2021 17:58:15] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Gaian, we will escort you out of this area.
[24.04.2021 17:58:55] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: G'day chaps.
[24.04.2021 17:59:04] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Good evening, Talbot.
[24.04.2021 17:59:12] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Goodmorrow, sir.
[24.04.2021 17:59:12] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Good evening.
[24.04.2021 17:59:13] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Howdy, Talbot!
[24.04.2021 17:59:25] Artio: L: Appreciated, vice admiral. We'll welcome the chance to talk... without all the very pointed attention of the system defences
[24.04.2021 18:00:20] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: We will escort this Gaian to Edinburgh. Any objections?
[24.04.2021 18:00:23] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: Has been some time since I've talked to a Gaian.
[24.04.2021 18:00:42] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: HMS Minotaur is awaiting your orders, admiral.
[24.04.2021 18:01:02] Artio: L: Vice admiral, if we may, we would rather be escorted to Torshavn. It's a long story, but - we're severely damaged and in-
[24.04.2021 18:01:15] Artio: //*Cambridge
[24.04.2021 18:01:15] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Copy that, admiral, I agree we should escort the Gaian
[24.04.2021 18:01:33] Death: Alberto.Rodriguez was put out of action by K'Hara|Dz'Uss (Gun).
[24.04.2021 18:01:49] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Very well. We will escort you to Cambridge. However let it be known that any further incursions so close to the capital
[24.04.2021 18:01:52] Artio: -need of repairs. Edinburgh, unless it's changed, would lack the facilities to fix the Artio.
[24.04.2021 18:02:00] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: -will be dealt with accordingly.
[24.04.2021 18:02:06] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: Oh yeah.. congratulations on the promotion.
[24.04.2021 18:02:18] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Thank you, Talbot. Gaian, follow us.
[24.04.2021 18:02:24] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Admiral, sir. Shall you require the Hood in this escort?
[24.04.2021 18:02:32] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Indeed, we do.
[24.04.2021 18:02:43] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Understood. Helm, prepare to mobilize.
[24.04.2021 18:02:43] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Copy that. We shall follow the Gaian
[24.04.2021 18:03:05] Artio: L: Ah, well... that was kind of an accident. We were following an OSC liner... that's a long story too. Lots of them today.
[24.04.2021 18:03:25] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: We'll go last.
[24.04.2021 18:03:47] BRF|HMS-Hood: Holland: Understood. We will follow the Minotaur.
[24.04.2021 18:04:26] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Gaian, where in Cambridge must you get to?
[24.04.2021 18:05:25] Artio: L: We will return to one of our bases. An escort up to... coordinates F5 should suffice, I believe.
[24.04.2021 18:05:39] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Very well. Helm, full power.
[24.04.2021 18:05:46] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: This is the probably strangest situation I've seen.
[24.04.2021 18:05:46] Artio: S: Huh... isn't that a Liberty ship?
[24.04.2021 18:06:12] Artio: L: *stifled chuckle.* We can say the same...
[24.04.2021 18:07:28] Artio: S: Let's hope they haven't installed ten thousand orbital batteries around Cambridge too.
[24.04.2021 18:07:44] Artio: L: Maintain all power to shields, just in case. [24.04.2021 18:08:49] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Gaian, you are on your own from here. Keep in mind that there will not be another chance.
[24.04.2021 18:09:27] Artio: L: About that, vice admiral... mind if we have a quick talk?
[24.04.2021 18:09:56] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Sir, please be fast. I have other meetings to attend to.
[24.04.2021 18:10:54] Artio: L: Brief it is then. Very well - in that case I, Lefina Elwyn, captain of the Artio, wish to formally ensure our support in the
[24.04.2021 18:11:20] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Good evening, USI. Please proceed.
[24.04.2021 18:11:23] Nymph-[Fae: ?: Salue! [24.04.2021 18:11:24] Artio: coming days against the Gaul threat. As it was years ago, so it is now. I hope the truce that once was may still count.
[24.04.2021 18:11:32] [*USI*]Ghazriel: Greetings Officers! I will of course
[24.04.2021 18:11:42] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Good evening. [24.04.2021 18:12:00] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Copy that, Gaian. We will keep note your words down. All help is welcomed against the Gallic threat.
[24.04.2021 18:12:23] Nymph-[Fae: ?: Woah... Never seen so much capital ships in one place... By the way, do you need a gun-for-hire?
[24.04.2021 18:12:27] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Freelancer, why are you carrying cardamine?
[24.04.2021 18:12:43] Nymph-[Fae: ?: What? A cardamine? Where?
[24.04.2021 18:13:07] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: You are carrying Shigeakiki.
[24.04.2021 18:13:12] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Hmph. We are not looking to hire anyone at the moment.
[24.04.2021 18:13:23] Nymph-[Fae: ?: Those thing gave me one pretty lady. But if its unlegal, i would drop it. [24.04.2021 18:13:28] Artio: L: Captain Elwyn, please. I cannot vouch for our comrades, but to join forces to send off the invaders we have pledged and this
[24.04.2021 18:14:01] Artio: -we shall do. To that end, I would request that the BAF and BPA be informed of this... arrangement, however you wish to call it
[24.04.2021 18:14:05] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Never heard of Shigeakiki. What is that?
[24.04.2021 18:14:20] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: The rest of the convoy can proceed to New London. [24.04.2021 18:14:52] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Gaian, we will inform the rest of the Armed Forces.
[24.04.2021 18:15:11] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Is there anything else you need to specify, Sir?
[24.04.2021 18:15:27] Artio: S: Formal it is with the man, captain. Guess he really is an admiral, eh? [24.04.2021 18:16:48] Artio: L: Not now, Sean. Just one more thing, vice admiral - we request leave to move through Bretonia. If we are to be escorted by-
[24.04.2021 18:17:32] Artio: navy units to make sure we aren't planning hostilities or what have you, so be it.
[24.04.2021 18:18:11] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Very well then. Be on your way now, Gaian.
[24.04.2021 18:18:21] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: The rest of the fleet will be informed.
[24.04.2021 18:18:22] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: Look at Oliver, making deals with the Gaians.
[24.04.2021 18:18:41] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: It is against a bigger threat.
[24.04.2021 18:18:59] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: The Gauls are beaten, there is no Gallic threat.
[24.04.2021 18:19:05] Artio: L: Indeed. This is no time for squabbling amongst ourselves.
[24.04.2021 18:19:21] BAF|A-HMS-Majestic: Oliver: Full power. Take us to New London.
[24.04.2021 18:19:27] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Do we have any other proofs about the royalists now?
[24.04.2021 18:19:38] Artio: S: God knows what the others are gonna say about this... let's hope they've got a good memory, as these lads do.
[24.04.2021 18:19:49] BRF|HMS-Constant: Roy: Setting course to New London
[24.04.2021 18:20:01] BRF|HMS-Minotaur: CIC: Moving to New London.
[24.04.2021 18:20:21] BAF|HMS-Black.Prince: Talbot: Despite Vice Admirals Olivers words Gaian. If I catch you doing shady stuff - you're done.
[24.04.2021 18:20:28] Artio: L: Right. Safe travels, captains. We'll see you in time.
I apologise for the confusion inadvertently caused on both accounts of trespassing; in the first incident, we assumed our prior truce to be still valid, and in the second and most recent, that the vice admiral had already relayed our agreement.
I understand that he must be a busy man and that we may have waited longer, but I am convinced time is of the essence, and we - the Artio - have lost far too much of it.
In conclusion, constable, here are the logs.
I pray you shall give them the fair apprisal the commander-in-chief has promised, and to that end, I shall keep this communcations channel open - should you seek further information, you have but to ask.
Gaia's will be done, and godspeed.

Miss Elwyn.
Good afternoon. Or evening, or whenever this message finds you. I was about to dismiss your communication, it's not every day peculiar individuals like you and their messages end up on my desk - but yours did, courtesy of Howe's commander-in-chief, who's coincidentially - my good acquaintance; so, out of sheer respect for his word i've actually given it a thorough review - and it's one of those things i have mixed feelings about, but also a matter where my personal stance means little.
Bretonians are donnish, and their bureaucratic machine is a complete and utter hell, where a lot gets lost into oblivion - consciously or not. Needless to say it's terribly inefficient, although less than, let's say - in Liberty; but still, Vice-Admiral's approval is an achievement to be proud of and it will sure grant you ample leniency the moment it's released as an official order, or made public in any other way... which may take months to actually happen, and we don't have that time if the Royalists are actually back and are as obsessed with their idea of greatness and 'cultural exchange' as they've always been. I've been on the frontlines when the Gallic plague struck Taus, i've been on the frontlines throughout most of their Bretonian campaing. And trust me, i've seen some shit, Leeds still is a bleeding scar left on the face of Sirius. Left by Roi's bootlickers, mind it...
... but i'm getting sidetracked. I'll spare you the courtesy of experiencing full power of Bretonia's trademark bureaucracy and will transmit the message across the Realm for every commander-in-chief and constable to hear, and i'm sure you'll be seeing to plenty of opportunities to prove yourself not by words alone, but also by your deeds.
Godspeed, Green Front activist Elwyn.

Sender:Lefina Elwyn Recipient:Junior Constable Elizabeth Frederica Beurling Source:GG-07 Artio, Edinburgh. Priority:High Subject:Gaia, Gallia and Goodwill.
Good day to you, constable Beurling.
Your willingness to lend me your ear is a bright spark of hope in a nebulous and unfamiliar present, one that is sorely needed amidst reports of accursed Gauls once again on the move and heartbreaking revelations.
We are still reeling under the sheer enormity of what we have missed. Leeds annihilated, Gaia tarnished and conquered - and then freed by Navy arms, of all things! - and a war fought and won, devastating though it was, among other things.
Any one of these events would give the sternest of spirits pause, but pause much sought is to us denied. So be it.
At the onset of our past truce, an event I still look back to fondly, I like others have endeavoured to set aside long-standing grievances, antagonistic posturing and even precious secrecy in the pursuit of earnest co-operation - even beyond the confines of the then-present Gallic contingency, I dared to hope.
Though this approach has earned us sanction and suspicion, from both sides and at times even within my own crew, I feel confident in saying that history has vindicated our decision.
A House divided cannot stand, it is said, and Bretonia yet stands.
Forgive the digression. It may not bear immediate relevance to the subject, but I felt it had to be said - that you, and by extension your comrades, may know I and mine will act now as we have then.
Now, onto more concrete matters...
Eager though we are to assist, I must confess our means to do so are presently limited - to summarise, we have but the other day managed to return to Bretonian space after two years of perilous travel through uncharted space, the Artio is severely damaged and even if repairs were to be conducted in all haste (as we are attempting to) I fear they will take no less than weeks to restore its functionalities, and I cannot command any significant influence upon my brethren.
Few of those I used to know yet remain, I am unclear as to the current leanings of the movement, and my former unit appears to have vanished overnight.
A hardly ideal situation, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, we are not entirely powerless.
While the Artio is out of commission and our escort fighter is long gone, our pilot is not and given the frequency of Gaian patrols, it seems likely I could secure us a spare fighter; if so, we will conduct recon operations ourselves and relay all relevant information to you or whichever navy figure will agree to co-operate. On my end I shall do the same with the other pilots, and see if they will join our efforts.
In conclusion, constable Beurling, we are diminished but undaunted.
What we may do, we shall; and I pray your comrades will see the merit in our offer, in time.
Gaia's will be done, and godspeed.
Captain Lefina Elwyn, out.
P.S.: You have mentioned serving on the Tau war theatre. So have we, from early 825 'till the day of our demise. A mere coincidence, perhaps, but one I found most fascinating.
