Dear Diary,
today was my first day within the 46th! God, I was so excited for my first patrol! I met Ensign Kemp-Smith outside of Manhattan and we began patrolling. We made our way towards Cortez and fought a bunch of these Insurgents who decided to show up there, like seriously, there were a lot. I stayed a bit longer than Smith, who already returned to New York. On my way back, Smith contacted me about a Enemy contact in the Jersey debris field. I rushed to help him, but the Enemy was already gone by the time I arrived. He was also cloaked most of the time, which certainly didn't make tracking him down any easier. We chased him through Colorado to the Freeport 12 border in Galileo. At that point I managed to take a glimpse at the Enemy's ID, a Kusari Office of Intelligence one! It seems like he was spying on us. We couldn't chase him further, because everthing past Freeport 12 is Kusari space, so we returned home with nothing but the knowledge of a Kusari spy being in Liberty. I decided to fly back to Manhattan to take a break. A few hours later, the 46th Fleet gathered around Manhattan to patrol New York and the surrounding Systems. I was put in a group with Benson and Mantis. At first we patrolled the Fort Bush junction, after which we moved to Pittsburgh. At this point, Mantis told me and Benson that [redacted]. We proceeded to [redacted] and finished the mission. After this, we patrolled further, but nothing of note happened. Later, a bunch of the 46th's Capital Ships moved to the illegal Base located in the badlands. Unfortunatley, we weren't allowed to destroy it, but were instead ordered to retreat.
That's it for today, logging off.
Dear Diary,
Today, unfortunatley (luckily?) not as much happened. I did catch my first smugglerthough. Later on, a bunch of people were near Manhattan and some guy named Haze was sitting some distance above. Both Creed and Black engaged him, but both were just wiped out. That was a rough watch, they're fine now though. In the end a Bounty Hunter got him, without too much effort it seemed. I, obviously didn't engage and just sat back and ate the Donuts Black brought. After this, I just went to train a bit in Connecticut.
That's it for today, logging off.
Dear Diary,
didn't write much last month, did I? It's been almost two months since my last entry. I was never good with stuff like this, I get distracted easily. Foolish of me to think it'd work out this time. Also, I'm stopping this "x day within 46th", that just makes me sound like I'm a spy or something.
Anyway, surprisingly little happened since my last entry. I was very caught up with paperwork. Didn't expect that when joining the Navy, probably should've. How, again, foolish of me. I'm hoping this doesn't evolve into a pattern of mine.
I probably shouldn't have joined the Navy as quickly as I did, but I'm here now, can't exactly quit at this point. All of this responsibility was a bit overwhelming. But I've settled into a rythm of sorts now and all seems to be going smoothly.
I'm sure Jonas doesn't have to worry about any of this now. He just joined TCL, a logistics company, recently and is just doing transports. Everything he has to worry is the occasional pirate, but I'm sure he deals with that easily. He never was one to panic when faced with pressure, and it isn't even his personal money the pirates demand. Maybe I should've joined some shipping company too? Maybe, maybe...
That's it for today, logging off.
