Overview
Battleship Kolleda, New Berlin
The Rheinland Military, once the envy of all houses, has had a tough few decades behind it, preceded by a horrific few centuries. But one thing maintains constant, the sheer force of will behind the Military that has led to recovery after recovery, and kept Rheinland an independent House that has stood the test of time. The Military stands ready to stand in service of Rheinland, just as it always has.
Battleship Kolleda and its assigned battlegroup in particular have proven themselves to be more aggressive and and the same time more successful than other Rheinland Battlegroups of the same size or larger. With the Kusari-Rheinland war in Sigma 21 coming to a close, the Battlegroup finds itself yearning for more, once again under Admiral Lindauer. With the Kolleda's placement in New Berlin, the Battlegroup is effectively able to cover central Rheinland with relative ease, thanks to reliable infrastructure Infrastructure and an experienced crew.

Ships
Light Strikecraft
Bergelmir
140-ARKM-N58 "Bergelmir" Rheinland Light Fighter
The Bergelmir was designed to fill the gap made by transitioning the Phantom frame into the role of a heavy fighter. A compact, sleek frame and the height of Rheinland's renowned reactor technologies along with punishing firepower make this light fighter a formidable opponent even if it lacks the armament of its heavier brother.
This new design has already proven its worth in the hands of Rheinland's police units as well as an interceptor for the Rheinland Military where speed is more crucial than firepower.
Phantom
72-ARKM-G27 "Phantom" Rheinland Heavy Fighter
The Phantom utilizes an array of upgrades installed upon the older generation Banshee light fighter frame. Anyone expecting to face a light fighter is going to get a rather nasty shock as the lighter and sturdier armor over its predecessor's has allowed the ship to be fit with a much more powerful power-plant, allowing the Phantom to provide enough firepower to be reclassified into the role of a heavy fighter.
Primarily used for police work and interception, the Phantom is a staple of the peacekeeping units in Rheinland, and deservedly so.
Wraith
90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Rheinland Very Heavy Fighter
Determined to keep ahead in the arms race between the colonies, Rheinland was forced to upgrade its already potent ships. As with the Phantom, the Wraith utilizes several new technologies into the base frame. Improved engines and power-plant, along with lighter and stronger armor make the Wraith surprisingly agile. It's no light fighter, but a skilled pilot can keep it out of enemy fire enough to ensure victory.
This vessel is highly restricted, much like its lighter brother. Only elite Military Police units are allowed this expensive craft, along with authorized military personnel.
Sleipnir
90-ARKM-N60E "Sleipnir" Rheinland Very Heavy Fighter
The latest entry in Rheinland's ARKM series of military craft, the Sleipnir was designed to complement the Wraith-class and make up for some of its perceived shortcomings. Though its aging sister had received a number of minor upgrades to maintain competetiveness, its basic control layout still followed the older, manually-oriented style, which combined with the ship's extremely high speed and fragility made it notoriously punishing for newer recruits. The Sleipnir was designed from the ground up with a full complement of modern piloting aids, including predictive HUD-integrated aim assist, semi-guided fly-by-wire, and scalable automatic power management. This modernized control setup is packaged into a much sturdier frame, and paired with an upgraded version of the Wraith's already impressive power unit.
The new design proved immediately popular with with recruits, and large-scale production and deployment began shortly after the first trials. Among skilled veterans and purists however, many still prefer the Wraith, its delicate frame rewarding capable pilots with unmatched performance.
Anti-Capital Ship Strikecraft
Fafnir
13-ARKM-N37 "Fafnir" Bomber
The blow struck against Rheinland following the events of the war of 800 AS placed a heavy burden on Rheinland's already struggling economy and military might. With her dearly bought fleets reduced to the broken testament to a curious period in humanity's history it seemed as though little could be gained save a lesson.
One which Rheinland took to heart.
The Fafnir bomber, brought into the field on the immediate brink of a long forseen war is the result of nearly twenty years of studious labor on how to best break the back of a foe's capital fleet... and restore Rheinland's military glory on the field of battle.
RESTRICTED-Capital Ships
Oder
Rheinland "Oder"-class Gunboat
This ship is used largely as a tactical support unit, however due to its speed it can also be used as a deep incursion craft for contact teams or recon.
Donau
Rheinland "Donau"-class Cruiser
This ship class has been produced in large numbers by the Rheinland military and serves as the veritable backbone of the Chancellor's fleet.
Tirpitz
Rheinland "Tirpitz"-class Battlecruiser
Shortly before the war with Liberty drew to a close, Rheinland began to develop a new, mid-ranged warship. The Tirpitz-class Battlecruiser is designed not just as an addition to the fleets, but an improvement as well, being heavier and more versatile than its predecessor, the Donau-class Cruiser. While the initial prototypes weren't finished in time to be used for that war, Tirpitz warships are the main capital vessels being contructed in rebuilding the fleets of the Rheinwehr. Its military leadership believes this ship to be crucial in changing the outcome of future conflicts to favor the Federal Republic.
Elbe
Rheinland "Elbe"-class Carrier
Equipped with a bay capable of hosting two dozen fighters, the main purpose of the vessel, similarly to its larger Libertonian counterpart, is to serve as a mobile base of operations for fighter-based combat while providing heavy fire support. Its massive armament of twelve turrets of the heaviest sort is capable of nullifying threats up to a Liberty dreadnought, while its relatively small size also lets the vessel perform evasive maneuvers if overwhelmed. In the meantime, the pair of launch tubes, sheltered from enemy fire due to their location in the rear, can unleash a deadly wave of Rheinland's ferocious fighters to deliver a wave of destruction to the enemy force.
Donau
Rheinland "Bismarck"-class Battleship
Chief among vessels in the Chancellor's fleet, this class of ship is the tactical "checkmate move" in the operations of the Rheinland military
