Greetings, sirs,
First, I must apologise for the tone of this message, as we know that it is not in relation to your own actions, but those with some relation to you, namely the Colonial Remnant. We, of course know that you are loyal Bretonians in our newly booming private sector, unlike the Colonial Remnant, who trade with our enemies, and assist them militarily.
This faction, bearing IMG colours, using IMG ships, and, most importantly, launching from IMG bases, think they can ally with our foes, namely the Kusari and the Corsairs, the Corsairs of course being enemies of both us and yourselves.
This must stop.
We demand that the Colonial Remnant either lay down their arms against Bretonia and get back to mining or whatever it is they wish to do and cease aiding our mutual enemies. Either that or we demand that the IMG fully deny the Colonial Remnant docking rights on all their stations.
Should our most reasonable demands not be met, we will be unable to assure the safety of IMG tagged vessels in Bretonia, nor the safety of stations such as South Shields, Cardiff or Aland, which are safeguarded by our powerful patrols which pass them daily. Again, I apologise for any threat you amy perceive from my tone, but we believe this to be a very grave matter.

Mr Henry,
I would like to point out a couple of things,
Firstly, you are a mere Colonel in the Armed Forces, a marine it seems, and upon talking to the Bretonian Government they have informed us that you don't acually have any right to make this ultimatum.
Secondly, I would enjoy it if you stuffed your ultimatums and threats and thinly veiled tones where the sun don't shine. We recently saved your admirals life, we deliver medical supplies to you, we even ally with you in the Orkney system, we dislike members of the Armed Forces verbally attacking us at every oppurtunity he gets.
If you have a problem with the CR, go and talk to the CR. We currently are staying out of your conflict between you and them, and do not wish to enter now. We will stay the way we are currently, becuase it works.

Dear sirs,
I make every effort to mind my manners, and would appreciate the same in turn, if you don't mind.
Now, the matter of my rank is insignificant, my civilian friend, as you should well know that Colonel is a substansive rank, equivalent to the rank of Captain in naval terminology, this being entirely within my remit, especially when I've received orders to do so when more ranking officers are preoccupied with other, more important matters.
Of course, I would like to know which part of Government you speak to, sir. I've obviously been given the right to forward this message from my superiors.
Now, of course we have issues with the Colonials. We are in a state of war, and you assist them, regardless of any assistance you offer us. They fly your ships, use your armaments. Saving an Admiral, whom our forces would have saved after having won (translation: capturing members of our Forces and using them as political bargaining chips) may have rescued anyway doesn't remove this fact.
The fact of the matter is as follows:
The vast majority of the IMG are Bretonian citizens, living in Bretonia upon Cardiff, the Battleship Hood and South Shields. Aland also benefits from our gunboat patrols, who defend it from Corsairs.
The rest of the IMG, being respectably entrepeneurial sorts, have expanded into foreign climes, in particular, Magellan, Omega 7, Orkney and the Taus, but remaining reasonably close to their roots in Bretonia.
Again, as representatives of your loose confederation of mining companies, you would know that Bretonian firms are of course your best business partners. I have it on record that your biggest trade partner is of course Gateway Interstellar, who provide your bases with many much needed supplies, in return for your valued contribution to our state's economy.
However, your rights, and you have many, being based in such a free nation, are coupled with responsibilities. Having three large bases in our House is coupled with the responsibility to not supply our enemies.
Why would we allow Gateway to do business with you if it only ends up with you being more able to furnish the Colonials, who are effectively Corsairs, with armaments? I'm sure our patronage does much for you economically, unlike a band that, as you know aligns itself with a group that used thermonuclear weapons against the Mollys, who were founded in a similar instance to yourselves.

Director Kyan, Guildmaster Masterson, representatives of the IMG Council,
Might I first of all extend my thanks to the IMG for their timely assistance in my rescue from unfortunate circumstances in Tau 23 yesterday, and to Director Kyan's kind offer to transport me back to New London from where I was able to successfully coordinate BAF forces towards the warzone. I also wish to praise the courteous attitude of those IMG present in respecting our Tau Pact, given the closeness of some of the fighting to Java Station.
Regarding the demands of Colonel Henry, I can say that whilst, naturally, we would be extremely happy to see the end to Colonial use of IMG facilities, not least for the sake of protecting IMG bases from the war, we do not all share the lack of understanding of political realities that Colonel Henry appears to be suffering from. The Bretonian Armed Forces rejects the idea of any such ultimatum towards the IMG, and we have no intention of making any further demands of the IMG Council at this stage, appreciating the difficulties that the IMG is already under.
Our official position, both that of myself, the Admiralty Board of the Bretonian Armed Forces, and the Bretonian Foreign Office, is exactly as laid out in the Tau Pact, signed by your good selves and Her Majesty Queen Carina, a copy of which can be found here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34016 . At present neither I nor government officials I have spoken with have any intention of proposing amendments to this treaty, which has proved most satisfactory up to this point. Should we wish to discuss any changes in our relationship with the IMG, I shall let you know.
Yours sincerely,
Admiral Sir Stanley Nelson
