Gallic side shot a few freelancers dead, others were allowed to escape into the Cologne JG using the followed chaos.
Liner, as GNI found out in gate's activation logs, escaped even earlier than anyone scrambled any patrols, with last reports of it being seen somewhere around the Bering system.
The Zurich Blockade
Some earlier than a week ago, in Zurich, the heart of profitable gallic molybdenum stream, the ever-growing mining profits not the only ones who were not sleeping that day. The shadows surrounded the secret GNI Lauseanne Complex - and a tide of signatures, hidden from the local patrols and stations around the system, moved to the location of the Cologne Jump Gate, intentionally or not - leading to the one particular incident.
Luxury Liner, secured after a distress call sent by a sole survivor, was stationed in quarantine moored at the Calais Research Station in Picardy for quite a while, until a suspicious, but never questioned convoy has not arrived at the scene.
An armored vehicle, escorted by a bunch of freelancers and loaded with a bunch of compact nuclear devices, appeared to be unmanned as the doomed docks scanners noticed later - somehow imitated a docking approval from the GNI command, and exploded right inside the outer hangars, leading to a few casualties and ultimate confusion.
In the very next minutes, as GNI ground forced restored order - invaders hijacked the liner, and the ship filled with pleasures for the rich immediately started it's impulse engines, leaving for Zurich, and then - Cologne.
GNI immediately scrambled a patrol, and surrounded Cologne borders, forcing the freelancers from escort to back off to Zurich in panic, while the Liner itself was already nowhere to be found.
Planning on taking freelancers for questioning, GNI blockaded the Zurich system, leaving freelancer with little more than no options left.
Fortunately for them - the system was on a traffic peak in that period, attracting Gallic Brigands from all the corners, and seeing an opportunity of claiming the highly technological pieces of GNI equipment, they promised freelancers their help, on the condition that they won't surrender into the brutal GNI hands, rumored to be connected with researching nomad tech in this system.
Will freelancers safely make their escape, or gallic authorities will grab them for good? Time will show.
This mini-event will occur at 12th December, 19:00 UTC time
Although I am not fan of this quite powergamish writeup and Kellys (who behind Akleitor, as I get) didn't bother replying my call for coordinating further story development around this liner, I am signing on the Gallic Navy side as \*/~Gaston.Corbeil, seeing them lacking a number to equalise with the opposition.
