As the GNI investigation of the recent events with hijacked liner continued - it was concluded, that there was no way the "Crown Pearl" could escape without help from the outside. An unidentified armored transport, initiating docking procedures with a full cargo hold of nukes onboard - not something the GNI could allow.
A thorough cleanup, that by some miracle did not end cause purges within Intelligence ranks, finally caught a trail: one single unauthorized transmission to the Calais administrative office, turned out to be containing a trojan. Before it could self-destroy, GNI experts traced the origin to a distant and unknown battle transport deep in the Magellan system.
The opportunity was too good to pass up. The GNI scrambled two gunboats, and a flight of snub craft with one objective: capture at all costs.
The Gauls were successful in maintaining operational security until entering the Magellan system, where some Lane Hackers spotted their ships, being able to decrypt their actual IFFs. Confused by unwelcome guests, the Hackers notified their Rogue associates in the area to cover them with brute force if necessary. Intent on discovering what the purpose of the Gallic presence was.
All the noise caught the interest of the LSF, who were tipped off by an informant that had their claws in a Rogue gang, prompting the arrival of a recon flight to confirm quite the surprise - a Gallic Intelligence presence, operating without Liberty's consent.
With a colorful assortment of guests all rushing headlong toward the same grid square, something is about to hit the fan, gunfire will decide what that will be.
Mini-event will occur by 19th December, at 19:00 UTC.
