I hope this transmission finds you well. As you might be aware Commodore Smith has retired. This message was forwarded to me upon his retirement. I am not aware if there were any direct discussions between you and Commodore Smith and therefore I thought it best to relay your orders directly.

Your orders are to Patrol LIBWESTCOM, particularly California as a Border Protection and Smuggler Interdiction assignment. Rules of engagement are to engage to capture in the case of smugglers. All other hostiles are to be engaged with intent to disrupt their operations, if this involves the destruction of enemy craft, so be it. Capture is preferred over destruction if possible.

Please include copies of any Reports related to this assignment on this transmission as I will be reviewing them directly. Should you need any assistance or supplies please let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements.

As you might be aware the situation in LIBWESTCOM has changed and as such we are re deploying the Akhetaten and the associated taskforce.

Orders are as follows:

Akhetaten is to split one Archer, Two defiants, one fighter wing and one bomber wing into a separate task force (referred to as taskforce A2). Akhetaten's XO is to take command of taskforce A2 if there is no other suitable officers available.

Taskforce A2 is to head to Magellan with DISPATCH and provide BAF forces with support. Task force A1 (Akhetaten and remaining escorts) is to continue to follow their current orders until taskforce VF (commanded by RA Briggs) arrives in Magellan.

Once taskforce VF arrives taskforces A1 and A2 are to recombine and return to Norfolk for re-supply. Once re-supply is completed taskforce A (Akhetaten and escorts) is to set course for Kansas to assist other Naval forces in the area.

Taskforce designated A2 commanded by the Akhetaten's XO, Commander Elizabeth Burns, has made it's move to the Magellan system and they are awaiting the arrival of the Valley Forge. The Akhetaten shall remain in the system of California for the current time.

Communications have been made with Norfolk in preparation for our upcoming resupplies and the crew of the battleship will be informed of the upcoming plans in due time.
