Sender:Karen Bertal Recipient:The Crayter Republic Topic:Carrier Helios wreck in Tau-29 system
Greetings.
My name is Karen Bertal, founder and leader of RNN company. My small company is engaged in research and restoration of destroyed ships and bases. While traveling on my HQ ship-base, I discovered wreck of Carrier Helios in Tau-29. For my information this ship belonged to the Crayter Republic fleet and now your government has not decided what to do with it. My company is offering to buy ownership of this wreck for subsequent restoration as a non-warship (my engineering knowledge, as the chief engineer of the company, is not enough to restore this ship as a warsip). I'm waiting for your response on this offer and your prices and conditions.
I am Oliver Snow, Minister for Domestic Affairs for the Crayter Republic.
Your offer was rather unexpected, and I'm afraid I must disappoint you.
The Republic still indeed claims ownership over Carrier Helios, as well as the remains of her detachment. Indeed, the Ministry of Defense has already allocated funding mandates to prepare salvaging operations to bring the Carrier back to Crayter space. As such, we must decline your offer to purchase Carrier Helios.
However, we may be able to offer an alternative.
In the neighboring system of Tau-44, Crayter territory once more, lies the wrecks of several vessels that once belonged to the Outcasts. Crayter has also laid claim to some of these for salvaging operations, but Battleship Capella is currently in a state of limbo due to requests by a third party within the Republic. We would be willing to offer salvaging rights to this wreck and offer to assist in its repressurization at Sabah Shipyard in exchange for a modest fee, as well as clarification on what your company's research focuses are and your plans for such a hulk.
Once we have an understanding of these, we can begin discussing a price for the hull, should you be interested.

Mister Snow,
Your answer didn't disappoint me at all, your position is clear to me. I am grateful for the alternative you suggested, but I need to personally see the wreck of this ship. Could you provide the coordinates of this wreck in Tau-44 system and one of jump holes or jump gates that leads to this system (better from Tau-29 or Tau-31 systems if it possible) because I am not familiar with this system and haven't visited it before.
At the moment, I can say that technologies of the Outcasts will probably be more familiar to me due to the similarity with borderworlds ships technologies, compared to the technologies of the Crayter Republic. With this in mind, I tend to agree, especially with your assist at Sabah Shipyard.
As I tried to explain earlier, our company's goals for this battleship will be to create non-warship ship-base for current and future affairs of the company. I believe that my knowledge is sufficient to restore battleship as kind of "liner".
My company researching restoration of ships and space stations (under learning) that may still serve in the future. We also study robotics to perform routine or life-threatening work (avoiding work on artificial intelligence).
I am ready to clarify for you these and others unclear aspects of my company's work.

I am pleased to hear that you are open to alternatives. I am also quite surprised to hear that you have not heard of Tau-44, much less visited it, as it has considerable historical significance to not just Crayter but much of Sirius as a whole.
But, I digress..
Tau-44 can be quite easily accessed from the zone near the Leeds Jump Gate in Tau-31. I will provide a navigational snippet to identify where exactly in relation to the jump gate's position.
Battleship Capella's wreck is located in a debris field comprised of several Crayterian, IMG, and Outcast vessels, near the center. It is the only 'Sarissa'-class vessel within the field, so it should be easy to identify. I will provide another navigational snippet to identify where in relation to Minato Harbor, in orbit of Planet Borneo.
Once you confirm the wreck is viable for your purposes, I would like to know your offer for the wreck. Additionally, Crayter Defense Industries will require a fifty million (50.000.000) credit submission for the use of Sabah's drydocks to bring the ship to basic functionality.

Mister Snow,
Thank you for providing navigational snippets I move to the battleship wreck coordinates to investigate. Within three days I will report the results and announce my offer.
I marked in red areas that (in my opinion) need to be repaired BEFORE moving the battleship to the Coronado system to the Sabah Shipyard (I was told at Minato Harbor how to get to this base) otherwise I'm afraid that the Capella will not survive jump through the jump hole. I am going to repair these areas myself (when I finish training my robots, things will go faster). Yellow indicates areas that require special attention in the future, in other words, these areas will need to be repaired first to restore the functioning of the ship. These areas may require help from Crayter Defense Industries in Sabah's drydocks to fix (for my company it will take much more time).
Wreck cost --- 280.000.000.
Use of Sabah's drydocks --- 50.000.000.
Place for permanent deployment for a period of 1 year for 8600 cargo space and 6 ships (HQ ship, Miner, Transport, Repair ship and 2 Heavy lifters) on Minato Harbor --- 30.000.000.
Place for permanent deployment for a period of 1 year for 8600 cargo space and 6 ships (HQ ship, Miner, Transport, Repair ship and 2 Heavy lifters) on Sabah Shipyard --- 30.000.000.
Additional/unforeseen expenses --- 10.000.000. Total --- 400.000.000.
All prices offered are subject to change and do not constitute a final offer.
As a clarification - list of ships:
HQ ship - "Corvo" Civilian Deep Space Explorer;
Miner - 288-ARKM-B20 "Kaiser" Rheinland Mining Ship;
Transport - Z-8550 "Pitbull" Pirate Train (May require registration as permitted ship);
Repair ship - CUV-39M "Mender" Repair Ship;
2 Heavy lifters - "Hercules" Civilian Base Construction Platform.
I'm glad to hear that you've finished your analysis of the wreck, and have a plan going forward. What repairs to the frame that need to be made before it is moved are yours to perform. Once this is done, and ship is moved to Sabah Shipyard, plans can be drawn up between yourself and CDI as to what needs to be done to restore the ship to working order.
With this in mind, I have two matters I need to bring up.
Firstly, the contract.
The Crayter Republic finds the details of your contract proposal acceptable, and the price of the wreck comparable with its value. I will have the Bureau of Reclamation formally transfer ownership of the wreck to your company once the transfer of the funds is complete.
Secondly, the Pitbull.
You are correct in your assumption that this vessel will need a special permit for operation within Crayter space. This is simple enough, and can be sent to the government through this channel by applying for a Special Access Permit and specifying your need to exempt a 'Pitbull'-class train. The permit itself will cost an additional 50.000.000 credits, which may fall under your marked 'unforeseen expenses' clause in the contract draft.
Once these are done, the only obstacle left standing will be the Capella itself.
Should you have any further questions, I will be more than happy to answer them.

Mister Snow,
My company is ready to answer your two matters.
About the first: I provide confirmation of the transfer to the =CR=Treasury account.
About the second: my companion Greg Barwis sent the request for permission to use 'Pitbull'-class train in The Crayter Republic space in the specified by you channel and I don't think it should be a problem. Despite this, this ship will not be used until it receives permission.
We will be waiting for ownership transfer. After receiving it, I will send orders to the repair ship and to heavy lifters.
I also wanted to inform you that we are going to sell scrap metal (that cannot be used to repair ships) to Junkers in the New London system. If this creates any problems, please let me know.
You will be pleased to hear that the transfer of ownership has been completed, and that the registration of the transport you've request has also been finalized. With this out of the way, I'm happy to say that there should be no more obstacles between your company and the Capella's restoration.
Additionally, your concern over scrap metal is needless, to put it bluntly.
I wish you the best of luck, Miss Bertal.
