"I just oversee the day to day operations of the Enterprise," he answered. "I cannot do it all myself so my administrators and ship commanders take a lot of the pressure off of me. I do not micromanage nor do I require all of them to come to me before making a command decision. I trust them to do that themselves but....if overseeing day to day operations makes me the boss then so be it."
The Saki arrived as he was going to continue.
"Quick service," he stated. "But no, no need to hunt the now former administrator. I will deal with him but....if I need someone hunted, I will let you know."
He looked at the Sake and two glasses.
"Something tells me you have something in mind, Young Lady," he said to her.
"Well, perhaps not the boss, but something tells me you are the leading man in the whole Med Force organisation. That kinda makes you to be the in charge one way or another. Call it what you will, but in the end you are the one who has the end responsibility the way I see it. Else there would be someone other than you who calls the shots when a station is in trouble."
She took a sip from her sake and tapped her lips with a napkin. "I don't have anything in mind, but Med Force and the GC have business before. If there is someone who caused your organisation harm and we find out his location, there are always deals to be made."

He wasn't going to keep a debate going on about who ran the Enterprise. Doc had the right people in the right places and they all had his trust but still she was right. Ultimately, it was his final responsibility if push came to shove. He just hoped it would never get to that point. He was a doctor, a surgeon and he loved his work.
He nodded. "It does seem that we have a good business relationship, a relationship that I value. To this point, I have been lucky. MFE has been lucky. We have had few issues with our neighbors throughout Sirius and even Gallia and we try to keep it that way. Our biggest issue has been the Bretonian Crown and even that has quieted considerably."
He sighed. "I guess it is just my long memory not forgetting what they have done to us in the past."
"But, um, if we do have a problem with someone," he said with a soft smile, "I think you and your sisters will be contacted."
"In return, I supposed I could enquire on MFE's willingness to teach GC Sisters who are wanting to pursue a medical role within our organisation. It is an enquiry I make on my own initiative, so I still need to run it by the higher ups. It just feels like an interesting idea to me and perhaps could establish a beneficial future cooperation." she pondered.
"What are your thoughts towards this? We have many women in our ranks who never got the opportunities to develop their own talents. This might be a very attractive prospect for them."

For Doc, this was an easy answer as he felt that so few people knew enough about medicine to be effective when the fighting throughout Sirius and Gallia were constant. He answered a question with a question.
"Why would this be a problem?" He was a bit confused at first but remembered the plight of the Chrysanthemums and how they felt women in Kusari were being shut out. He then nodded.
"The more people that understand basic life saving techniques or even combat medicine, the more people that would survive," he stated. "Many women have taken our training courses and can be found all over the sector. Even my ship commanders, several of which are female, have to know at least basic first aid."
He then looked at her puzzled. "You mean to tell me that you have no medical staff within the Chrysanthemums? If so, that is concerning when you consider some of the severe damage done to a human body by an exploding ship." He paused and finished. "I take it you have some people in mind?"
Mariko smiled at his assumptions that saying that more training is always welcome, equals the GC having no trained personel at all.
"Oh, don't get me wrong. We got medical staff, but new techniques and more trained personel are always welcome. What I refer to is to provide a bias free environment where Kusari women can study medicine. All too often they are declined by Kusarian universities who have a preference for male students in an already constipated waitinglist. See it as me seeking new ventures."
She tried to recall some of the earlier dealings she had with Golden Chrysanthemum members, but only one name sprang to mind at such short notice. "I personally know that one of our operatives called Emiko Sato is looking to expand her own knowledge in the field, and besides her, perhaps others would be interested aswell."

Emiko Sato. It was a name that he had hoped not to hear as he had all but cast her out of his life a couple of years prior. What he raised her to be versus what she had become were two different things. Still, he showed no emotion to her choice except a nod of acknowledgement.
"That is a good start," he replied. "I take it that she has some medical knowledge which is good. It gives us a better base to build upon. Do you have a dossier on her?"
While he waited, he sipped his drink and continued. "At Med Force Enterprises, we do not care if someone is male or female. If they wish to learn medicine, we will teach them so long as they are willing to learn. One of my best students was a young lady who is now a chief medical officer for the Crayter Republic so as you can see, we have no issue with gender."
"Not on hand ofcourse. You won't be surprised if we keep the records of our members confidential. As I mentioned earlier, it is only an idea I am toying with at the moment. Sato-san herself doesn't even know I am here. Honestly, not many do."
She took a sip of her sake before continuing. "Honestly... The files are something you might not be able to get access to at all. This is both for their protection and yours. I know you wouldn't be able to have issues with gender. I know you better than this I would say. The issue is more that most of us have bounties on our heads. Keeping our head low is only the more sensible thing to do."

"I can respect that," he replied as he nodded his understanding. "This must be really hush-hush if you are here without knowledge of your sisters but again, I can respect that."
"I would, however, have to at least meet Miss Sato for a short screening or at least, someone from the staff of our Academy in Omicron Theta would have to as that is where her training would take place. We will make a dossier on her and of course, give you a copy of it as it will include all of her certifications and disciplines."
He sipped his Saki. "I can assure you this much, who she is will not matter. My security staff is very good and very tight upon rules at the academy so I can guarantee her safety there."
He put his glass down. "So to your knowledge, how much medical training does she have? It at least gives us a good base to start with."
"I understand you have to meet her first. I guess I can make that happen. There is little hush hush to what I am doing. I have autonomy in some fields. Exploring new ventures is one of them. What I meant to say it that I can't speak for others. Whatever miss Sato wants to do is up to her. I can only build bridges to some extend. Whoever wants to cross is not up to me. Plus my superiours always have the possibility of tearing them down."
"As for Sato-san. If this is a viable venture, we would have to have a talk with her and whoever else is interested and run it by the GC leadership. Honestly I personally don't worry too much about safety when dealing with MFE. You have never given us cause for trouble or concern. Plus our Sisters are taught to handle themselves.
