Having found her way out of Magellan and quickly repaired the damage, the North Carolina, with approximately 800 refugees aboard, continues on her way to the borders of Gallia. Using dense clouds of dust, the battleship managed to avoid detection and reach the next control point, the Edinburgh system, in one piece.
As soon as they entered the system, the Bretonian Armed Forces, whose outpost is close to the Leeds jump hole, noticed their presence and sent an intercept squadron to reconnoiter. They were not the only ones who noticed the presence of this huge liner: the Gaians and their Maquis allies, who had long tried to capture any large vessel to use in their campaign against the Gallic Union, knew from this point on that the North Carolina was in the system.
A difficult journey awaited the crew, but Gallic forces, and not only them, were dispatched to help and helped both the warship and the refugees to reach Languedoc. On their victory or defeat could depend the further fate of the ship and not only the ship.
