Outcasts Base, Omicron Alpha, Sector E6, Owned by HS>
Alba Station was acquired from Zenos Cartel by Malta Hyperspace Starfleet at the beginning of 829 A.S. as a complementary station to the Corsica Sanctum. The primary purpose of this base is to house important labs and store supplies for Planet Albegna; the base was strategically built close to the Planet for this purpose. The base is used for classified genetic experiments and research of the unknown.
The base lacks strong defenses but frequent patrols between Corsica Sanctum and Malta and it's well thought out location more than make up for it. Malta Hyperspace Starfleet has appointed Observador Miguel Perez to oversee security and maintenance of the station.
In the beginning of 829 A.S., Alpha Scientist Petra Ferrari made the deal with a famed Cartel to register Alba Station under Malta Hyperspace Starfleet management. The main reasons behind this transaction remain a mystery for most members, as the organization has already secured a vast territory in Malta and the costs associated to it did not seem to be justified enough for an enterprise of this magnitude. Only essential personnel, coordinated through El Cuartel General in Malta, make regular visits to the facility; carrying standard modules for construction and scientific equipment that it is verified through several checkpoints before their departure.
Alba Station is the next step forward towards greatness, for Malta Hyperspace Starfleet. With a capacity of 500 men and women from all across Malta, this facility is intended to open up the doors of the Maltese scientific community to a whole new level. It is divided into 3 sections, laboratories dedicated to the following departments: Genetics, Engineering, and Research. Each field recreates environments suitable for testing and even production, if necessary. As the facility develops, more areas will be open as the requirement for further knowledge demands a heavier investment.
The current focus of the Research department is the pursuit of new ways to use the gravitational anomalies to our advantage. As space travel goes deeper, Maltese are in constant need of urgent entry and exits to the different areas of Sirius. The supply required for such tasks and the diverse negotiations concocted by our people and outsiders has made us question the feasibility of this type of operation in the coming years. Do we really need the non-Maltese to be involved in our affairs? Can we elaborate a method to go far beyond our home and extend our influence by ourselves and have more benefits at the same time? Scientists work day and night to reach hidden paths of the universe that could help us to reach a breakthrough that not any other house has thought of before.
Genetics department is the lab of Cardamine, in simple terms. Since the dawn of our time, agriculture has been the foundation of all human civilizations, and now, being blessed by the orange substance, we wonder how far we could go with it. One of the main researches is centered to food processing and how it could be more efficient for all Maltese. Biologists and geneticists work tirelessly to develop new ways to empower the substance, reduce the maintenance requirements and facilitate consumption.
Engineering department create the most powerful engines, the most resistant alloys and most deadly weapons known in Sirius. In collaboration with Casse’s Academy, new engineers and technicians are received each day; bringing new ideas and putting them into action. Through systems optimization and reverse engineering, Maltese ships are constantly tested for further improvements, that can give us an edge that would bring us victory.
