I've taken the leap and sold off my Bretonian assets to purchase a Stork advanced train.
It needs some work, but nothing that I haven't done 1000 times before.
The owner works out of a small, ramshackle depot in Tau-29, where the ship now sits.
It seems that it used to be a small base of operations for Kishiro miners working the Nago Hydrocarbon field in the days before the field played out, and he got it on the cheap.
He's allowing me to work on the ship there, and is in fact looking to sell the shop as well and retire from the business.
This might actually work out well for me, since the Universal pilots and managers that I've spoken with have mentioned that they are in need of a waystation in that area, and my having access to such has increased their interest in my services.
Update:
I have just been contacted by a Universal representative, who has offered me a plan in which Universal ships use the depot in Tau-29 to rest pilots and make cargo transfers between ships for long-haul routes.
They will make a small initial investment to update the facility and deliver materials for doing so.
This new development has given the owner of my Stork and the depot additional incentive to sell out and it will only cost me a little more to transfer the titles over to me.
Additionally, Universal is allowing me to use one of their ships to administer the station, so that will give me x2 storks once I get the used one up to snuff. Both will be registered through Universal, making me officially a Universal ship pilot, and eventually, the owner of the depot in Tau-29!
This will be BIG, when I can get everything in good order.
