I was writing a science-fiction story for a class today, and although it wasn't FL related, it got me thinking. Outcasts have only one real ship specific to them; the Falcata. Daggers-Sabres are used as general "Independent World" craft, and are used by several factions other than the Outcasts.
So, I was thinking of designing an Outcast-SPECIFIC fighter, that I would christen the Foil, but decided that, even though the Ind. World series is general, it's still a fighter line. So I was thinking of the Falcata. That thing is from Vanilla. You'd think that they would have developed an upgraded bomber, or more specialized one in this time. And that's what I came up with: A specialized bomber. This badboy lacks a Falcata's agility, hence the 'Strike' Bomber, but has an upgraded core, more hull, bats/bots, and a longer, slimmer profile.
I drew an awesome sketch of it, but then remembered that I have no scanner.
Start with a Falcata chasis, minus the ring. You have a round, pointed tube. Stretch that out, to about 50% longer. Make it a bit thicker, then make the ring run horizontally around the craft, so that if you looked down on it from above, it looked like an O with a line going through. Two wings would bend over the ring, sort of like an Eagle's. Two guns could be mounted on each wing, and the torpedoes could be mounted on the front of the ring.
Why are you using a common European forename for the fighter's name?
And if you are referring to the Scottish long dagger, Outcasts are not Scottish anyway...
