The Eisernes Kreuz is the oldest and most iconic decoration awarded for bravery, heroism and valor within the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr. Viewed as common by some, it still serves as a more than adequate token of recognition and appreciation for any soldier going above and beyond the call of duty.
