It was late at night Thach's lone Defender have breached atmosphere of New London and, following some basic guidance fugitive captain have dug up on Neural Net; now, following the landmarks it described, Jane reached for a massive construct towering over surrounding suburban buildings and rensembling a massive fortress meant to withstand any adversities and display strength by it's mere existence.
Rugged superiority fighter have landed, softly descending onto the gravity cushion, it's systems promptly shut down and only then have Thach set foot on solid ground. She'd left behind, in the cockpit, a freshly issued helmet and a flight suit, vacantly gazing around: if it's a formal invitation by the Admiral himself - there's at least got to be a welcome party, despite the late hour. It's not like transmission had a pamphlet with a man conveniently attached to it for Thach to navigate inside.
Peace, being the distant dream it is, comes inevitably, and goes hand in hand with justice.
Cursed be the war.
It did not take long for the guest to be formally received, either. Despite meeting with the Admiral himself, the Armed Forces did not prepare an exquisite meeting place for the two. Instead, the convocation was to take place in a office normally used by lower-ranking officers, situated at a reasonable distance off the 'main' headquarters on the planet -- a matter owed at large to the fact that the Kingdom much preferred using its capital ships as meeting grounds rather than the planets it held control of.
Upon arrival at the building itself, Thatch was met by just two soldiers of the Royal Army, who swiftly shepherded her in. The room where the Admiral waited in was not spectacular either, but that mattered little to Sommerville.
After exchanging short greetings, he invited Thatch to take a seat in front of the desk he sat behind with great confidence in what had to be discussed. At the same time, with an arrogant shake of his hand, he ordered the soldiers out, signaling the start of the meeting.
"Welcome, Captain. I hope you have not been kept waiting for too long.", began the Admiral. "It is not of great interest to prolong this for many hours due to coming events that I understand you are well-aware of by now. And, by the way, make yourself comfortable."
Though the first phrases were meant more as a way to 'break the ice', Harold was set on turning the young Captain over to his hardline cause of cutting down Liberty's influence abroad -- with it attempting to remove any sentiments the Captain held for her former home. Thus, he moved to start the meeting with an impromptu interrogation of Mrs. Jane.
"First, I would appreciate if you could tell me what made you decide that Bretonia would be a better home. Though this has been discussed with other officers, I highly value talks that are held in person rather than over some petty communication channel." Starting off with a simple request, Sommerville turned directly towards Thatch after he finished the question, eager to hear what the Captain had to offer.
