The date is a bit wonky, but 10-11th is close enough. I recently posted a video on my channel in the somewhat optimistic hope that some long-unseen members are still subscribed to it. Without too much planning and too much pomp, a simple get-together to see who is still around and to let peeps have an excuse to dip their toes into Disco again. I would humbly ask you to forward this info to any ancient skype chats you might be still in and see if we can bump the server pop over 100 one last time, maybe.

Not gonna lie, I was going to host a 4.84 server, but I think it would be more fitting to do so on live. Not just because it is a terrible thing to try and get it to work properly and it would require me to unearth a dusty overclocked 1-core machine, but also because, I mean, Disco is here. Celebrating on some bootleg non-official server seems like missing the point.
If the current team wants to try hosting it, tho...I mean. Waggle-eyebrow.

It would be rather nice to have the version(s) available, and be capable of hosting it.
I too have thought of hosting previous versions as servers, mainly to Discover(y) how were the past versions, and to make them available. Maybe it is possible? I have no idea, nor am I aware if it is possible.
But I suppose it would be a waste of time, as no other server show up in the launcher - though @Laz did make the launcher fully available and without this... impediment, on his GitHub profile. Then again, this is the last bastion of Freelancer as far as I'm concerned, if the staff does not want it, then it shall not be available. Tragic indeed.

can I try in singleplayer somehow myself? I'd love to see history
4.84 was the shit - I wish we had the playerbase there was back then (not even being able to hop onto the server sometimes) nothing's ever really replaced that era of gaming for me tbh.
