Statement on Tau border situation

Following an abrupt and most-worrying rise in Outcast activity in the Tau-23 and Tau-31 systems, the Kingdom of Bretonia will be conducting special border operations to ensure the safety of traffic heading from and to the Realm. We strongly advise corporations frequently operating in the area to maintain the same level of safety precautions and continue business as usual, as the Armed Forces will move to secure the areas directly surrounding the trade lane infrastructure present, in close cooperation with assets of the Kusari Naval Forces and the Crayter Republic.

We further state that no amendments are made to pre-existing travel recommendations, however we urge pilots flying through the Tau-31 to maintain proximity to patrolled regions and important installations operated by lawful organizations. Outcasts remain extremely dangerous to lone ships and even vessels operating in formations, thus we stress the need for remaining close to patrol routes.

The Foreign Office also instructs pilots not belonging to the previously-mentioned militaries, or police units, or intelligence assets, to not engage Outcast raiders on their own due to the high risks posed by following such a course of action. In its stead, we highly suggest that the pilots contact the nearest patrols and inform them of the unlawful presence such that it may be promptly removed.
