The First Armada largest beneficiary of the latest recruitment surge despite setbacks

Ever since the Liberty's High Congress passed the Organization Categorization Revision Act (O.C.R.A.) by a considerable majority and classified the Insurgency as a "Foreign Supported Terrorist Organization", the Liberty Navy started operating with much higher budgets. The act came with a considerable spending package for naval operations and gave free rein to Liberty Navy's Admirals to take necessary measures to remove the long-standing Insurgency issue. This in turn lead to massive surge in fresh naval recruitments.

A need to replenish
The Insurgency Campaign was all but won with the bold strategy of Admiral Dylan Brandt. At the cost of many lives, including his own, he ordered a bold full frontal attack of Delaware without waiting for the safe approach of letting the powerful and fresh Carrier Ohio Battlegroup catch up. He followed orders from the President and acted exactly as the spirit of the O.C.R.A. revision would suggest. Despite the heavy toll taken, this move has completely broken the Insurgency Spirit. At that moment the flagship the Harmony defected, and all but the elite Insurgency zealots scattered in all directions. One of those directions being the Corsair Empire as the attached de-classified Office of Naval Intelligence visual evidence from Omicron Xi demonstrates.

This victory remains controversial to this day within some of Liberty's circles. Our own Admiral Blake Wayne Van Leer has been blamed for following what critics called reckless orders of Admiral Dylan Brandt, diving head first into battle against the Insurgency hydra, for which he faced unsuccessful attempts at a court-martial, and even is still being branded a traitor by some and blamed for the loss of Delaware by others. It is then all the more surprising that the First Armada has been the largest beneficiary of the recent recruitment surge. Potential crewmen are seemingly undeterred by the openly telegraphed dangerousness we in the First Armada represent as we prefer to be the tip of Liberty's fist. We have gone so far as to christen the new Overlord Class Vessel in our arsenal the 1st|LNS-Dylan.Brandt as the spirit of the Admiral represents the heroism and sacrifice we expect from our officers.

A chance at glory
While taking advantage of the large budget increases granted by Liberty's High Congress and the dangerous excitement and fast progression the First Armada offers, many legends have already started rising. The star that shines the brightest is Lieutenant Commander Bryce Walker who achieved a record promotion rate, showing exactly the heroic recklessness admiral Dylan Brandt would be proud of, even taking down three Corsair attackers in an otherwise overwhelming defeat the First Armada suffered in Omicron Nu at the hands of a massive Corsair Fleet, lead by the Deterrence Corsair zealots. His Interdictor battlecruiser the 1st|LNS-Discovery has been equipped with experimental engines and soon will be bolstered by weapon augmentation provided by our Core Allies.

The end of the Insurgency campaign sees the First Armada clash with increasingly elite, battle-hardened, and obsessed Insurgents. The deeply determined Last Stand that was not terrified by the extremes Liberty has proven to go to, represented by the heroic sacrifice of Delaware. Those Insurgents like the pilot of Iota-12 taken on by Aurelius Howard, Mahdi Bakeri, and Blake Wayne Van Leer himself along with Bounty Hunter support and only the new Ensign Howard came out of the battle aided by a bounty hunter unscathed.

Increased autonomy of Armada Officers
With the recent promotions of the officers like Eras Starfield, Stanley Colt, Lewis Williams, Arnold Takeshi or Aiden Pearce and an expected further massive influx of recruits the First Armada will keep increasing the autonomy of its Officers. Starting at Lieutenant our officers will be able to promote staff under their command without High Command approval, mid-level officers will have autonomy in recruitment and awards so that the First Armada can handle the new influx of fresh crewmen and operate in a large number of detached squadrons and regions.
