High Hopes For New Military Campaign
NEW LONDON -With Liberty showing signs of willingness to finally push against the Zoner plague that is causing Sirius to rot away, Bretonia's top officials have taken notice and, after long and arduous talks, have drawn up plans for a special military operation into the Omegas, aiming to "bring an end to the Zoner question and liberate the peoples of what-is-now-known-as Planet Gran Canaria", according to the Defence Minister.
This new military operation also comes after the government has taken great pride in instituting a new department – one aimed at securing Bretonia's safety from the Zoner Plague – with senior officials already releasing statements on how the department will aim to align itself with the desires of Sirius such that all Houses contribute at least several thousand men to combat the Zoner Plague.
Today's press meeting kept the same tone, that Bretonia's survival was at stake and that the most loyal servants of the Crown must take up arms and create many a places for new settlers to venture to, signaling that doing otherwise would mean collapse "within months". With high expectations, the Ministry of Defence also announced the name of this operation to the press: Operation Fungicide – in an apparent comparison to the frequently-used slang of "bugs" for Zoners by the Bretonian population.
With announcements made and preparations well underway, it remains to be seen how Her Majesty's most loyal Navy will fare against rag-tag bands of Zoners that will inevitably attempt to avoid being civilized.
