Hail and hopefully well met. I am Sentinel Gestalt, here speaking for the Directorate and Inner Phalanx of the Technocracy of Auxo.
As far as I know, your people and ours have had extremely limited contact in the past, only occasionally engaging in minor trade deals and, years ago, cooperating against the Bretonian Crown during the Gallic War. With the resurgence of your movement's efforts against the Armed Forces in and around Dublin, and the formation of the Republican Provisional Assembly as a proper government for the free people of Dublin, the Technocracy sees this time as being ripe for further cooperation.
While we have not worked together in many years, we have much common ground. Neither of us are on the best of terms with New London's forces, to say the least, and both of us have a mutual interest in seeing the Corsair menace thoroughly thwarted. Both of us stand against the domineering status and imperialism of the so-called "Great Houses", and against the exploitation that common people labor under thanks to the slave-driving selfishness and greed of large corporations and the likes of the Core.
It's our hope that your Assembly sees the possibilities we do in deepening ties. Speaking for myself, as a Leedswoman, I've always had sympathy for your cause of independence and your fight against the soulless BMM—it would bring me joy to see your people finally recognized, claiming their rightful place as an independent entity on the galactic stage. Please let me know if you're interested in working together, and what the Technocracy can do for you to show that we are sincere.
From: Chancellor Jac Yarwood To: Sentinel Gestalt Subject: Matters of Diplomacy.
Ah, suppose i'd better get around to this, eh?
Evening Miss Gestalt.
I'm Jac Yarwood, Chancellor of the Assembly.
You know, we've had it on the docket for awhile to get in touch with The Technocracy, but i must confess, im not a politician, nor a soldier. I'm a Miner. And as a miner, frankly, i've got no clue what to think of your kin.
Strange bunch.
But, i'm not one to let a few accusations and the rambling concerns expressed by others get to me. And you're right, we've got enough in common to stick out some cooperation, aye? Though it seems half of Sirius is willing to offer complaints and warnings against you and your kin with barely the drop of a hat.
Some of our lads have had an on and off chat with your kin recently, nothing formal, and some offers here and there have come across the table, but where Auxo is concerned, while Guns and Ships are all well and good, you people have a couple of more civil things that interest me.
Things to talk about. But aye, you've got our attention, any contacts we can get are good, especially against the likes of the Corsairs, none of us benefit from them running wild, besides, any and all trade makes the people happy!
... Don't mistake me Miss. I have no doubt that the Technocracy has its own angle on these things. But so long as it doesn't bring us to blows, its no care of mine what matters you get up too.
I'm sure that you've heard all sorts of rumors about us from shady parties who likely prioritize their own interests far above friendly cooperation as equals. If there is anything you've heard that particularly concerns you, please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify, so that you can make up your mind having heard multiple perspectives. Anyway, on to business.
I understand that mining is, of course, your main industry, and that much of the gold in Sirius comes from your fields. Beyond its use as an ornamental material, it's quite useful for a number of industrial applications as well, and as civilization continues to push past previous boundaries the need for this and every other industrial material grows ever larger. As an engineer by education, I would personally be delighted to assist your people in increasing output and efficiency in whatever way I could.
Beyond my personal skills, the Technocracy produces a variety of goods and equipment that your Republic may find useful—though at present the quantities we can put out are restricted by our own lack of heavy industry to support the production chains. If we happen to produce anything you're interested in, we'd be happy to send a few shipments your way for evaluation purposes, and perhaps later seeing about establishing more regular runs. We also have some recent intel about the Corsairs that might be of help. If any of this sounds enticing, let me know.
We look forward to working with you and your people, Chancellor.
From: Chancellor Jac Yarwood To: Sentinel Gestalt Subject: Matters of Diplomacy.
Miss Gestalt.
To be honest, i couldn't much care less about whatever fights you have with other locals and their shallow attempts to degrade our opinion of you and yours with idle warnings and accusations. So long as our business doesn't cross each others then i think we'll be just fine.
Now, matters of industry and fabrication i can understand. And the Assembly is only planning on increasing the amount of gold for trade in the near future. Now i'm sure my dear friend and Admiral of the Assembly, Imogen O'Sullivan, would lambast me for not trying to get ahold of whatever advanced equipment and ship armaments the Auxesians have, frankly, that is of little interest.
Anyone can provide weapons and equipment, explosives and reactors are of little concern in the long run. No, my interest lies in other specialties of your people.
Like i said, i'm a Miner. I was put in place as Chancellor because of that fact, the Mollys was born out of workers and still hosts a large population of them, and industrial mining and refining is a dangerous job, before even getting into ship building, breaking, and combat.
The Technocracy is one of the few places nearby with high level medical expertise, and if rumour and the net is to be believed, the premiere supplier of high grade cyberware in the sector. Additionally to that, any help in supplying some of our civil installations when required would be appreciated.
I'm not going to be so crass as to ask for true military support. This is our war, and i suspect you have no desire to risk a full blown war with Bretonia, and rightly so.
So, that's it. Your Kin have medical and cyberware expertise, as well as i'm told - For better or worse depending on the teller - some science and engineering personnel of high education, and that, along with potential civilian help in acquiring certain goods - Nothing illegal, civil assets difficult for us to acquire is all - is of much greater interest to me for the benefit of my people than any amount of advanced weaponry would be.
I'm glad to hear that you aren't dissuaded by the rumor-mongers and the mud-slingers. We're not interested in wasting time on people like that. Instead, let's focus on the things that matter, like how to help your people do their jobs safely and effectively. You're absolutely correct that we produce and distribute some quality medical technology, and there are a good number of doctors and surgeons among us as well. We would be happy to send some medical equipment your way, and if any of your people require medical or surgical training, we could arrange a temporary personnel exchange program to see to it that your hospitals are staffed with knowledgeable personnel without worrying about who will take their place while they undergo education with our own.
I can confidently say that our cyberware and augments are the best in the sector bar none, not only for civilian use but also for military applications. We can provide the Republic with anything from prosthetic arms and replacement organs—fully shielded against most EMPs—to precision equipment for technicians and squad-based HUDs, either implantable or in removable devices, for ground troops and boarding teams.
On the matter of more mundane materials and supplies, our ships are fully legal and cleared to operate in both Rheinland and Gallia, so the entire markets of both those Houses will be open to you with us serving as an intermediary. Any markups we charge will mostly be to cover fuel and operating costs, as we're much more interested in building relationships than raking in excessive profits.
Please let me know if any of the above interests you. I imagine our pilots will be seeing yours in space soon.
From: Chancellor Jac Yarwood To: Technocracy Officials Subject: Changing Times.
Technocracy Officials.
Been awhile, but hopefully these channels still work, eh?
I believe last time we talked was with a... Miss Gestalt? Or, Sentinel Gestalt, to use the - i presume - proper rank and title.
Been a busy couple years, Dublin's been cut off for awhile by the blockade, but w're managing to slip people in and out now and again. Including myself aboard the Assembly's embassy vessel.
I wanted to re-open this channel and affirm the prior communications our organisations had. The Assembly would be quite willing to trade high quality gold for medical expertise and Cybernetics, along with any munitions or other civilian products you could bring in, or trade to our vessels at the Freeport, after all, i can't imagine outside organisations are giving you and your Kin any kind of favourable exchange rate on the now limited metal, aye?
With luck i might be able to bring the PRS-Assembly to Inverness and meet some of you in person soon.
Quite the impeccable timing as I was about to beam another transmission to your people, Chancellor.
My name is Valentine, a Navarch within the Technocracy and a member of the Directorate. To put it simply, I oversee Military operations within the Technocracy.
We would be more than happy to establish a line of trade from the Independent Worlds to Dublin. We can, of course, offer the afforementioned medical and other basic materials to your people in exchange for precious Gold. Which you may know is utilised in various technologies. Indeed, we are very grateful for the opportunity to trade with you.
I may have something of interest to offer you. With the recent shift in our ... economical circumstances, we may be able to provide upgrades to your capital vessels. Namely prefab Docking Bays. Of course, we'd be happy to offer it at a discount in interest of continued support for each other after these years. We believe it may help you in your circumstances with the Corsair raiders, being able to bring supplies for your fightercraft to replenish strength for continued fighting.
I would like to inquire on behalf of our logistics division, in regards to a rumor we heard about a facility of yours under construction needing more manpower. Do you require any logistical assistance in retrieving materials and/or the assistance of setting up electronical components?
From: Chancellor Jac Yarwood To: Navarch Valentine Subject: Changing Times.
Miss Valentine.
Apologies for the delay, busy work and not enough people to do it.
I hear one of your Kin took a trip into Dublin, risked the blockade and all, and some of my lads got some word out, but just to get things over official channels.
Aye, we've got a refinery in operation, Connacht Depot, Minister Burns has begun plans to begin increasing it to a Class-3 facility to store more materials and refined goods, and the refinery is in need of industrial hardware somewhat frequently. As for your offer of docking facilities, all, count my interest, while a handful of our ships have modules, we could likely use more. Currently the Assembly has a Bustard class carrier, but that's not a Molly vessel... Some bunch of Zoner and Rheinlander mercenaries with a Gallic captain, not something to rely on for too long.
Perhaps you do not have multiple Capital Vessels, such as your Scyllas around, but we can install such prefabs onto Transports too. It may be helpful for your smuggling crews. We're not only limited to constructing these devices, we're ramping up our production on more experimental technologies. Jump Drives, Beacons, Cloaking devices, experimental weaponary.
Ah. I believe you're talking about one of Revenant's proteges, Gamayun. I believe they have expressed interest in showing force for trust building exercises. They have made mention of the Corsairs attempting to overtake the Gold fields. As you can imagine, such would devastate our scientific industry. I have authorised Gamayun to prove themselves with one attachment with the Ixion to assist you. I hope they prove to be a valuable asset during their temporary stay.
