We've been tracking communications within your ship and reviewing security footage. It seems you're eager into offering our ship, not yours - to the Order. That was not our deal.
You have one chance to explain your intentions, shall you fail, we'll find someone else to occupy your position.
SOURCE:INS-Montana, Omicron Nu System. ENCRYPTION: Secure. SUBMITTER: Captain Marrok Cross RECIPIENT:Commissariat on board SUBJECT: Explanation Good day Commissariat on board, I thank you for coming to me about this first rather then going right to Deterrence command. Yes I have been in contact with the Order about moving the Montana to the Order's fleet. As I'm sure you are aware there has been a growing... tension among the Insurgent and new Corsair crew. I also hope you have noticed that is seems to be getting worse. I for one do not want a civil war on my ship, and disgruntled crew members are spies and traitor in the making. I will also not resort to holding any side at gun point.
Putting aside the topic of crew there is another reason. As I am sure you are aware that the Montana is a dreadnought class and thus is rather unsuited at completing the operations that DTR have in mind for the Battlegroup. You may not be aware but the Liberty Navy is quite found of using overwhelming firepower against a force holding its own capital ships. DTR command itself has stated that it will be unable to send timely reinforcement to Liberty should we get into a trouble or God forbit the Montana is put of of action. With all this in mind the fleets primary tactic against the Navy should be small engagements with maneuverable ships that can escape when enemy reinforcements arrive.
I am sure you are also aware that we have no access to any shipyards at the moment to make major repairs and maintain the Montana. The local Zoner station can only keep us going for so long. It only takes one battle to put the Montana into a state where it will require a shipyard. Even still the Montana has not fished is refit, politics with the Corsairs forces us to Nu before we were ready.
Now, I had planned on going to the battlegroup's handlers about this once I knew that the Order was interested. As I now know that the Order is interested I will get into contact with the battlegroup's handlers about this. Yet I do not plan to leave the Corsairs with nothing after what they have done for us. I am sure you noted that the Montana has meet up with the Helena again. The captain of the Helena is a seasoned Insurgent captain and knows liberty space far better then me. Given the right words I am sure I can convince him to take the Montana's place in the battlegroup.
I would once again ask that this matter be left to me. I hope you realize how distrustful many of the Montana's Insurgent crew has become of the new Corsair crew. I ask you to help me maintain this delicate peace we have on board right now Commissar...
Understood. As per agreement, you're authorized to use any means necessary to accomplish your objective. However, hinting a transfer of ownership to the Order is not within the agreement.
