All of what you heard in my transmission towards the First Fleet's ESRD division applies to the Fifth Fleet's R&D as well. In addition to those, however, I have a specific message for you.
We've coordinated excessively in the past and this cordial relationship we've shared has led to many advances, the highest importance of which being the successful completion of Project Akhetaten.
I was debriefed on something I did not quite take pleasure in learning, Rear Admiral. I understand your concerns with the Commodore's reinstatement into service, but doubting that fact is doubting my own judgement, something which I deem unaccounted for. The Commodore's reinstatement into the Navy was no small feat, and his reinstatement aboard the A-0 as the ship's commanding officer was arguably a harder task to accomplish. He's got what it takes to get the job done, he has the skillset for it and it seems the two years he spent away from the Navy and the two years he spent aboard the A-0 on a trial period at an advisory role have taught him a lesson.
You are to treat him as you would treat me, Rear Admiral. Of course, that is not an order, it's a request.

Evening,
I will say, I expected something of this nature some time. Be assured I do not doubt your decision making, but as per the nature of my job, I know exactly how trust can be gained, and abused. While I have no doubt you've done extensive digging on Edwards' past. I've personally caused the consequences of that kind of thing when a field agent, and I know how devastating it can be when successful. I also know the consequences of being caught in the act, but that is a story for another time. I'm very cautious of Edwards. He made the smart move of resigning before my operatives reached him, or his life would've taken a very different turn.
Needless to say I'm not here to question your judgement, Maria, but to be the more cautious and inquisitive perspective. I'll do as you ask and give him the benefit of the doubt, but I can't simply silence that doubt in the back of my mind. For everyones sake, I'll shelve my suspicion, but I won't stop watching, from afar. While I may come aboard every now and then, it won't be about Edwards.
My regards,
Rear Admiral Nicole Prower
