It's good to talk to my Liberty counterparts. While governments may not necessarily agree, we have more in common than not. So it appears we are yet again faced with something greater than both Liberty and The Order. I had received a report concerning Officer's Hvitrnott ‘adventure’ in The Edge. She co-operated admirably and performed well under pressure and provided us with enough information to begin our own formal investigation. I am glad we could come to a peaceful resolution and as Overwatch are men and women of their word, we ensured her safe return to you.
Earhart is undoubtedly of alien origin. If not Nomad, then their long gone masters Daam K’Vosh. It is my duty to investigate any leads, and shield humanity from any and all alien threats this way or another, Admiral. Therefore considering our track record I suggest that we combine forces on this issue. I need a guarantee that my people will be safe accessing and utilising this system for study and containment. Whether by your Gate or future jump drives which are another lead we are investigating right now, we remain open for options. At the same time, if you have any concerns of any nature or have need for our expertise, we again offer our services.
Personally, I intend to research the potential Kusari connection. Any form of intelligence you can provide on Kusari presence in the so-called Earhart will be welcome. Names, testimonies, visual evidence, logs, maps, anything. I have remained committed to peace for so many years, I do not intend to stop now. Looking forward to hearing from you.
First of all, I would like to apologize for the incident that happened in your home. I am however pleased to see that everything went peacefully. The reasoning behind us bringing such a force into the system, well. We came from the so-called 'Earhart' system. One of the pilots was chasing a Rogue fighter that could have left with dangerous materials. And I am sure that you are just like us, we do not leave anyone behind. I am sure we have that in common. So much for that and the reasoning.
Now, the Earhart system. We have dispatched several recon and research flights into the unknown system. What we have found was little to nothing useful, for now. I agree that we should combine our efforts to understand what it is we are facing. This could go beyond just a mere nomad threat and be a very high risk for the entire sector. You have the knowledge, we have the manpower and resources. However, I can't speak for every Liberty Element out there, nor can this be made public. To combine our efforts, I will be patching in Admiral Rachel Baker of the First Fleet and my commander of the Research and Development Department, Rear Admiral Nicole Prower. They are trustworthy, do not fret Grand Admiral and I need the support of the First Fleet in this more than ever, considering one of the Wormholes inside the Earhart system leads right onto our doorstep. And you can probably guess that such is a high-security risk.
The information we will share in this connection will be highly classified. It is however up to every element on how much they wish to share with the operatives involved in this operation. Considering that this Operation has no name yet and considering the unknown danger such poses, I would take the liberty and give it the name Operation Grim Dawn.
I personally can't give any intel about the involvement of Kusari. But I am sure Rear Admiral Prower might be able to as she was involved in these affairs around Earhart more often than me.
What has happened is in the past. I consider the circumstances to be exceptional and impossible to ascertain at the time of the incident. It will not influence our ongoing commitments, Admiral.
Admiral Baker is known quality: Professional and efficient, just the type of officers 1st Fleet produces. Admiral Prower of the Fifth also had been a great help in the past and I can personally vouch for her integrity, trustworthiness and skillset. You will find no objection from me or others within Order Admiralty. The Order has begun preliminary reconnaissance, acquisition and initial analysis of alien materiel. I expect we will be able to gather more quantifiable resource samples to fully satisfy the needs of the Order Science Directorate.
We have to discuss conduct and joint operations in Earhart and beyond. I fully understand standard practice is to look out for one another. That means, pooling our strategic and tactical defence capabilities on top of accustomed cease fire. We do not know what we will find out there, and we cannot squander whatever groundbreaking discoveries by infighting. If Liberty Navy can assist in preventing potential overzealous elements of Liberty Navy from harming our operatives, I will alike aid you in kind. Nomads had already expressed the ability to interfere in that part of space. The Order should be allowed to harvest, ship out and create a stockpile of its own for our own purposes, just as you do.
We are currently still investigating leads into the Kusari. I will touch upon this subject again when I have something solid to go by.
