It all began around a week ago, when the Independent Miners' Guild reported an increase of activity in the Taus. Upon investigation, it seems that the Cardamine trade of the Pariah has been picking up. Whatever the reason the flow of the drug halted two years ago is no longer, but that does not mean that we sat idly. Au contraire, members of our organization sat at the frontlines tirelessly, coordinating strikes against the Outcasts from the premises of Java and Falklands, occasionally even darting into their Home system to strike at cheeky smugglers. While we have stopped over a hundred thousand tonnes of the orange plant, l'Accord de Zurich is unfortunately out of men, time and resources to handle the once more steady flow of Cardamine flowing into the colonies, including our own. It was akin to try to stop a tidal wave with our bare hands. We are not the Armée, after all.

However, the 'stabilization' of the network should also coincide with a temporary calm, as the Maltese will likely no longer see the need to enforce their will with their precarious capital fleet to protect mere Junkers, Zoners and Freelancers, which were the vast majority of vessels intercepted during this week, followed by Outcasts themselves, Kusari Golden Flowers, and the Libertonian Lane Hackers. My Libertonian contacts have also informed me that their Rogues, somewhat analogous to our Brigands, were involved in the protection of smugglers, though none of my men seem to have witnessed them smuggling the plant themselves.

Our strikes in Omicron Alpha have also been critical in knowledge gathering, as our scouting has revealed an anomaly breach within the system that leads directly into the heavily restricted Saint-Remy cloud of the Burgundy system. The breach is not stable enough to safely allow anything larger than a freighter through, but is certainly worth keeping an eye on - which, l'Accord volunteers to assist the Union with.
