SUBJECT:Lilu Biography

Xi-Mao was born to a Coalition general shortly after the Nomad wars. The general, hoping for a son, was initially dismayed at his daughter's birth, but grew to love the small girl with all his heart. He taught her Coalition values and tactics and as she grew up in the world of the Coalition, she was always awestruck at the pilots that flew over her home. Dreaming of the day when she would be one of those pilots behind the controls. Her imagination running wild with the possibilities.
In her early teens, she went against her father's wishes and forged his signature on an entry form to pilot's school. After she was rejected outright, her father discovered her insubordination. While he was furious at her on the surface, internally he was proud that she had the wherewithal to go for her dreams no matter the consequences. However, later in life, this rebellious streak would come back to bite her. At 16, she entered pilots' school. She was one of the youngest recruits in the history of the Coalition to join the school. As she completed her courses, it was noted that her above normal reaction times suited her best for the interceptor class of vessel. Her instructors noticed a troubling personality trait in the young Xi-Mao, however...one of insubordination much like her younger self.
During a routine training mission, she went against orders to attack a soft target that could collapse the entire frontal enemy assault. While her attack was successful, she was reprimanded by her superiors and subsequently failed her final pilot's exam. During the out brief when she was given this information, she struck a superior officer in anger and, as a direct result, was drummed out of the Coalition military and dishonorably discharged. Her father was furious at her actions; she had broken his heart. He gave her money for a ship and disowned her shortly thereafter; telling her never to return to Coalition space. She purchased a used light fighter and departed the Omega-52 system.
For a long time, she flew aimlessly. She'd thrown away her entire future over a failure that she herself had perpetuated. She contemplated flying into a singularity or star just to end it all. She tried to end her life by flying into ever increasing dangerous battles but always came out on top. After a year, she ended up on the Battleship Hood in Dublin sometime in 830 by the Sirius calendar.
She had landed her small Arrow fighter to quickly fuel up and depart the system but was mistaken for a racer docking for a pitstop. A small team approached her asking for her to fill in for one of their pilots who had come down with a bad case of food poisoning. At first, she declined venomously, telling them to go to hell. They insisted, however, telling her that her ship was perfect for the races. She checked her account and noted that the money her father had left her was dwindling down every hour of every day. The missions didn't pay out enough for the maintenance on her ship. Sighing with defeat, she told the engineers that approached her that she wanted 75% of the prize money as payment. They agreed to her demands but they had never won a race before...they doubted they would now. She grinned at their doubt, now determined to win.
The race lasted a little over an hour, with Lilu amazing the announcers at her prowess and skill behind the controls. She had thoroughly cooked the competition and taken home the prize money of 1,000,000 Sirius Credits. As promised, she gave 25% to the engineers and settled into the Hood as her new home. However, in 831, the Hood was destroyed by the Corsairs. She had luckily been away in New London getting new parts for the "Troublemaker", the name she had given her ship. Once again, she had lost all her possessions and home. This time, however, at the hands of another. Cursing the Corsairs, she left Bretonia and headed out searching for other race tracks to hone her skills.
She had just found Pennsylvania when the Blackout occurred shutting down travel throughout the sector. That didn't bother her, however, as she'd found another race track near Planet Erie which she practiced on every day. There weren't any other racers in Pennsylvania or even Liberty for that matter. She continued to race around the track daily while enjoying the climate on Erie. The tension that was evident there didn't bother her. After all, she had been raised in the Coalition, that kind of tension was a Thursday for her.
In 832 A.S., she purchased "Troublemaker-II", a high tech Renzu racing yacht from Planet New Tokyo. She kept the ship docked in New Tokyo to race the track near the Hogosha base there. Following that, she ordered another ship and named it "Troublemaker-III" to race at Pennsylvania when the mood struck her. However, she always fell back to her favorite, the original Troublemaker, the Arrow. She favored the ultimate control the ship afforded...it was a fierce competitor to other racers.
However, competitors were in short supply. Very few pilots raced, instead focusing on combat. While racing did have combat-oriented components, many chose to focus on fighting one another either in space, or combat simulations. Lilu was no stranger to combat, having trained to be a potent fighter in the Coalition navy, however she was puzzled as to why people focused so much on combat in Sirius instead of a good time flying a super-fast ship.
It was here, that she had an idea. The creation of a non-profit racing federation who took donations from various sponsors around the sectors and used those donations as prize money. She, however, was a disgraced Coalition military cadet. No Sirian corporation in their right mind would give her any amount of credits for any reason. Their security teams would just assume shoot her than listen to her proposals. She needed a front-man, someone to operate the federation as a figurehead rather than someone in charge of the federation itself.
The search has been tough. Still, to this very day, Xi-Mao has had difficulty convincing anyone to listen to her ideas for, what she calls, the SRF (Sirus Racing Federation). Most dismiss her ideas outright, citing the lack of pilots who choose to race. She hasn't given up, and can often be found practicing her skills at one of the many racing tracks around Sirius or flying her ship through ever increasing dangerous systems--attempting to break her previous records for travel times through them without losing attitude control. She may very well be the last breed of daredevil pilot seeking that ever greater high of cutting it so close to death that he's visible in the rear view mirror.

[The young woman sits down in front of the console, her hair matted to her forehead and a crazed look in her eyes.]
I almost broke my record for flying through Copernicus. If I hadn't missed the hole in the asteroid for the Sigma-13 Jump hole. Some idiot was talking in system chat, yapping on about how he needed to save me from the system distracted me just enough to over correct and nearly become a streak of oil and blood on the side of the ice. Despite my many attempts to tell him to shut up, he kept talking. Even called me a "lad". Apparently he was deaf (and apparently drunk too). Kinda ironic he was trying to "save" me when he, himself, was plastered drunk.
Fucking Sirians. Makes you wonder how they've survived this long.
Anyway, that screwed up my time so now I've gotta go back again and see if I can't beat my first record. A guy at Newport recommended a song called "Freebird" when I try it next time? Some ancient Sol song or something.
[She shrugs.]
Some easy listening wouldn't hurt while careening through a gas field that would incinerate me with so much as a glance might be nice.
Anyway, I attached logs here of that idiot trying to save me for laughs. Maybe next time he'll know I'm a woman instead of some misguided boy.

[05.11.2023 23:12:30] The.Wellerman: No, good sir. Intoxicated.

Okay, for real. That guy at Newport undersold that song. Fuckin' A! I think I pushed my engines well beyond their rated maximum listening to that song! I only clipped one explosive gas pocket and it scared the ever living shit out of me but damn it was worth it!
I think it's time to find another challenge. I think I've conquered this particular time trial. On to the next!

So it has been a little while since I updated this log. Figured I might as well do so now
Some scientists built race gates out in Cologne. Out of curiosity, I decided to visit them to see what it was all about. Boy was I surprised! Some kind of tech is used in a few of the rings that...well...I think I will keep that to myself so that I can beat the competition if I happen upon someone out there. I have become very proficient at that race track in the days racing it over and over again. Even saw some guy in the Starfliers there the other day testing it out! He was a pretty pathetic racer. I lapped him a couple of times while he figured out how to use his ship!
[She laughs.]
They should stick to Freelancing!
Another place that upgraded their race track is Pennsylvania. Instead of that boring track in the asteroid field near Planet Erie, now there is a big track that goes around one of the gas giants in the system. Lots of debris and rocks in the way to dodge while flying through it! More than once I almost bit it. What a rush!
Lastly, the Kusarian's moved their track into Shikoku. It's a boring track, but I can see some definite competition there if Cruise Disruptors are allowed to be used!
Lots of opportunities for racing! Perhaps I should start a racing federation? Food for thought!

ENCRYPT:Standard
I've been unable to update this log due to a corruption in my deck. Now that I've got it back up and running--after almost five months--I can finally update this log again.
I don't really have anything to report other than a lack of racers in these parts. Even a lack of people just wanting to live on the edge and burn through an explosive gas field or mines just to see if they can...most people I've run into since are more interested in politics, being spooky, or just...well...being boring. Who knew that Sirians are the ones with the sticks up their asses.
[She sighs.]
Maybe I'll finally run into someone with the desire to just enjoy racing-for-racing-sake at some point. I'm in Provence now, running the track in the asteroid field. The mines are a nice touch but could really be closer to make me pucker up a bit more, as of where they are now, they're not really a threat to the safety of my ship. Oh well, probably some kind of "SaFeTy ReGuLaTiOn" or something.
[She makes a "Pfft" sound.]
Anyway, guess I'll turn in. I hear Marseille is pretty nice...once you get past the idiots trying to peddle you NOX.

SUBJECT:Troublemaker-II
ENCRYPT:Standard
After selling the last "Troublemaker-II", I swore I'd never own a secondary ship again and put all my focus on the original Troublemaker. However, it turns out that perfection is a difficult thing to chase when your primary ship is always down for maintenance due to pushing it well beyond it's measured limitations and design parameters.
I was performing a rather--shall we say sketchy--route through the Badlands in New York when I nearly clipped one of the large asteroids at 425 m/s. I had to overclock the engines a full 100 m/s to avoid hitting the rock at high speed, but in doing so blew out every damn relay on the ship and burned out the coils in the engines. I was left adrift for a few hours until I was able to patch them up enough to limp my way to West Point Academy.
The Navy flyboys there aren't great technicians for aftermarket ships like my Troublemaker, so they towed my ship to Manhattan where it's now sitting at a racing shop getting completely overhauled from my insane stunt. I was told it could take weeks, or even months, to get parts in; not including the parts for my aftermarket/modified Coalition engine...parts which are nigh impossible to come by in this region.
[She covers her face with her hands and groans in frustration. She balls them into fists as she continues speaking.]
I had time to kill and decided to go for a stroll around the district I was in on Manhattan. This particular area had many various racing shops in it. As I browsed the ships in the area, I stumbled upon a ship I had never seen before. It was called a "Bulldog" and was clearly a ship designed by Junkers. It had various safety mechanisms stripped off the ship to allow it to generate more power to the engines. It had clearly done the ship in, however, as it's power plant was only at 10% capacity. I made an offer of 10,000SC to the owner and was surprised to find that he happily accepted the payment. Clearly he wanted it gone.
It's now in my care. The weapons systems on the ship are gutted and it's powerplant is only able to provide power to it's strange on-board engines. Even the on-board shield system has been gutted. This is a true canvas to create a racer of my own. Don't get me wrong, my Arrow will always be the favorite, but minus fine tuning the overclocking inputs, it's pretty much a complete ship...well, less so right now, but you get my meaning.
Time to get this thing somewhere and strip it down to it's base components and see what I'm working with.

As it turns out, I'm not working with shit. This thing is as much a pile of components as a ship.
The powerplant barely has enough power to supply the weird engines onboard. Which they themselves are configured in a weird way.
Speaking of the engines, their output is all over the place. I can hardly get enough of a reading on them to properly tune them. One moment they're at 120% power. The next, 70%. Then back to 105%. It's maddening. What's worse is, I have never seen their like before. I'm beginning to wonder if they're a custom job. That would be a bad thing since custom jobs take more time to understand than standard engines.
Lack of shielding makes racing this thing...cantankerous. More than once during my testing phases I almost ate shit. Although, while there is that danger, it does allow more power to be provided to the engines. Which, with the powerplant in the state it's in, I suppose that isn't a bad thing.
No weapons systems at all. Though I'm not worried about that much.
My first focus should be getting the engines looked at. I'm around a flat 88% of nominal; even less than that with the theoretical power I could pump from these strange engines. I hate to admit it, and I never would outside of these logs, but I may be a bit out of my depth with this ship. The Troublemaker-I was, and is, an on-going project. Even with the accident in New York, it still isn't finished. I was able to work on that easily enough due to my familiarity with the engines as well as much of the hull. This ship though...I may need some help.
I'm in Inverness now, hoping to get some help from the local Junkers...though I don't know how much help they will be in truth.

Well then.
[The young woman clears her throat. Her normal excitable demeanor seems to have been replaced with tepid introspection with a hint of uncertainty]
Last night was quite the experience. I'd heard that Nomads were these vicious, monstrous, beings bent on enslaving mankind--and maybe they still are to an extent--but my experience last night was one of...intrigue. I was attempting to get the Troublemaker-II's engine readouts to stabilize to no avail when I picked up a blip on my sensor array. The sensors being half-fried as well, I wrote it off as a sensor ghost. It wasn't long after that I ran into someone near the Junker station. Cherry Blossom was her name, or her ships name. I decided to head to the Freeport to see if any Zoners could provide any help with the engines and this individual followed me there.
We spoke about a few things, mostly about how insane I was to fly a ship with no shields, malfunctioning engines, no weapons, and a broken sensor array...but I just laughed it off as I usually do. I was in the back messing with the sensor array when the Nomad arrived. I didn't notice they were there until I returned to the cockpit and it was staring at me, nestled within a blind spot of the stations defenses.
At first, I was terrified. Not the fear of death that I'm used to from performing a death defying stunt but true fear. However, I kept my composure; deciding that this alien had never done me and mine wrong and I had only heard stories of their kind. Instead of panicking and running, I stayed and listened to what it had to say. I was surprised to see that it was more curious about me than outright hostile. Cherry Blossom seemed to have become scared in the intervening moments as she had begun stuttering but I paid that no mind. Being in the presence of something so foreign as a Nomad...well that would make anyone a little jittery.
We spoke at length, some ships coming and going--one IMG ship noped the hell out of there at one point. Some Auxo showed up at once point and we discussed racing, fear, and many other subjects. I retired a bit early, my energy spent from the experience as well as from working on the ship all day.
Unfortunately, the bad news started up again this morning when I attempted to launch the Troublemaker-II when that feedback catalyst loop in the engines I had suspected were a thing violently exploded on the landing bay. Luckily, no one died. A few were injured but no one was near the ship when the engine exploded. I was able to escape the cockpit with the aid of the emergency release which luckily worked. It must've been the only damn thing on the ship that actually worked.
[She leans back, a look of defeat on her face. She looks up to the ceiling as if in thought.]
I'm starting to wonder if the Troublemaker-II name is cursed. Seems every ship I name that suffers some kind of violent catastrophe. Perhaps I just skip two all together and find something to name Troublemaker-III? Ugh, I dunno. I have a ride coming soon to bring me back to Manhattan and check up on the Troublemaker-I. Maybe the ship is finally space worthy...or maybe I randomly won the lottery that I never entered...I'd say I have about as much luck of that happening as my ship being space worthy again.

Whelp, the Whiplash is one step closer to being a finished ship! I managed to get a hold of Lazurith, the guy from before who was talking to me about the Troublemaker-II's engine problems...before it exploded...anyway, what I showed him intrigued him and he wanted to take a look at it on the Junker station in Inverness. The same place my last ship exploded. You can imagine that the Junkers were overjoyed to see my skinny short ass back in their landing bay with another project.
Lazurith, sorry Laz, and I worked on the ship, sourcing various bits of information that he had on the engine until we were able to come up with a solution for the installation of the engine into the Whiplash. The engine is...well...it's incredible. The engine doesn't run on H-fuel, it runs on Solar-freaking-Radiation. Meaning that as long as I keep the filters clean and stay within sunlight for certain races, I never need to stop for refueling. This is a game changer and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one running this tech.
There are still a few things that need tweaked. The shield and energy generation on the other system is sluggish but I think that will just require some bumps here and there to other systems to get up and running.
[She does a little dance in front of the camera.]
Anyway, after we got it working, some spook from Rheinland showed up. Turns out they injured Laz not that long ago damaging his cybernetic legs leaving him a partial cripple now. Bastards, all of the intelligence agencies are the same, playing with others lives like we're nothing more than numbers to them. Makes me happy that I was thrown out of the Coalition as a young woman. I don't think I'd have the stomach for that kind of work now that I've been free from the mechanizations of a government.
Anyway, I've attached our conversation below. The Whiplash was recording the entire time (I hadn't realized). Hopefully Laz won't mind me attaching our discussions and theories on the engine. I'll heavily encrypt this log just to make sure it stays protected.
Anyway, going to sleep, I've had a very long day...
[09.04.2024 22:29:43] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh good, I was hoping to run into one of you fellas...or-er-ladies? Out this way.
[09.04.2024 22:30:10] A/)-LV-Orpiment: Well howdy. What can I do ya for?
[09.04.2024 22:30:15] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I've been trying to reach Lazurith, he mentioned he could help me out with engine stuff for my racers.
[09.04.2024 22:30:46] A/)-LV-Orpiment: Ah I believe he's still in the system.
[09.04.2024 22:31:01] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh? Could you see if he has time to meet? I would appreciate it greatly.
[09.04.2024 22:31:13] A/)-LV-Orpiment: For sure I can forward a request.
[09.04.2024 22:31:24] Whiplash: [She bows.] Xi-Mao: Thank you very much.
[09.04.2024 22:31:27] A/)-LV-Orpiment: Speak of the devil actually.
[09.04.2024 22:31:33] A/)-Aether: Hey.
[09.04.2024 22:31:48] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh, wonderful. Heh.
[09.04.2024 22:32:09] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Greetings Mr. Lazurith, I was hoping to see you in these parts.
[09.04.2024 22:32:27] A/)-Lazurith: Howdy.
[09.04.2024 22:32:32] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I recall you mentioning you had some experience in engine matters and was wondering if you had a second to chat.
[09.04.2024 22:32:44] A/)-Aether: I can take the escort job if you want to stay here.
[09.04.2024 22:32:45] A/)-Lazurith: Uh... oh... you sound familiar...
[09.04.2024 22:32:53] A/)-Lazurith: Hey, you wouldn't happen to be that gal from a few weeks ago, right?
[09.04.2024 22:32:59] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I was on Troublemaker-II a while back but it...uh...
[09.04.2024 22:33:01] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Exploded.
[09.04.2024 22:33:15] A/)-Lazurith: Ah! That's right. Oho, I'm terribly sorry.
[09.04.2024 22:33:27] A/)-LV-Orpiment: Have a good one all!
[09.04.2024 22:33:27] A/)-Aether: Call if you need me, Lazurith.
[09.04.2024 22:33:32] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Yeah...so...I picked up this ship...decided to take it for a spin in Delta and found this...engine.
[09.04.2024 22:33:35] A/)-Lazurith: I ought've responded sooner. I am truly sorry.
[09.04.2024 22:33:42] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh, am I interrupting something?
[09.04.2024 22:33:43] A/)-Lazurith: Gotcha. Call me if you need any help, y'all.
[09.04.2024 22:33:53] A/)-Lazurith: Nah. They're on a schedule, I reckon.
[09.04.2024 22:34:13] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh...uh...okay. Anyway, so I came across Core fighting these strange ships and I picked up the engine from the wreckage
[09.04.2024 22:34:28] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: But it nearly overloaded the power core when I tried to connect it. I figure you might know what's up.
[09.04.2024 22:34:55] A/)-Lazurith: Aha. I guess I oughta look at it myself.
[09.04.2024 22:35:10] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I can send it over, one second...unless you can get it from scans.
[09.04.2024 22:35:51] A/)-Lazurith: I briefly skimmed through the schematics, but I reckon I could take a look at it myself. If you don't mind, of course?
[09.04.2024 22:39:19] A/)-Lazurith: Anywho... let me see what I'm working with.
[09.04.2024 22:39:22] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: So yeah, that thing nearly fried the powercore. Luckily, it went into safe mode before it did that. I took the hint.
[09.04.2024 22:40:29] A/)-Lazurith: Mmmh... alright, I tossed a preliminary scan through my cargo hold inspection systems.
[09.04.2024 22:41:35] A/)-Lazurith: Those... uh, those are some very complex power couplings if I do say so myself. Crazy capacitors too.
[09.04.2024 22:41:56] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I was thinking the same thing. Looks like something took everything I thought I knew about engines...
[09.04.2024 22:41:58] A/)-Lazurith: Wait, that ain't right. This is the third scan I'm doing and I'm seeing no H-Fuel injector ports.
[09.04.2024 22:42:25] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Bizzare. The Core ships were intent on killing...whatever they were.
[09.04.2024 22:42:42] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I stayed out of the way and just watched. Weird green looking ships with strange weapons.
[09.04.2024 22:42:48] A/)-Lazurith: Ah... okay, I have some familiarity with basic diplomacies, at least.
[09.04.2024 22:43:14] A/)-Lazurith: Uh... hang on. Were they attacking ships sporting an HN series, by any chance?
[09.04.2024 22:43:23] A/)-Lazurith: Yunno, the big, red n' blue ones.
[09.04.2024 22:43:42] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I was dodging weapons fire trying to stay alive at the time. Trying not to get killed in the cross-fire.
[09.04.2024 22:43:56] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: All I recall is they were odd, tubular ships, with strange weapons and glowing green engines.
[09.04.2024 22:44:19] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I saw someone them in that Pi system when I was racing through some of the nebulae there.
[09.04.2024 22:45:04] Whiplash: [She says in a small voice.] Ya' know me...always tryin' to get myself killed. Heh...heh.......
[09.04.2024 22:45:21] A/)-Lazurith: Hmmm... I reckon that's a dangerous system to be in, ma'am. You oughta be more careful next time.
[09.04.2024 22:45:37] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: What's the fun in that?...anyway, any ideas?
[09.04.2024 22:46:12] A/)-Lazurith: Ohh, it's a veeeery dangerous system - huge Nomad hive for sure, I reckon. A lot of them originate from there.
[09.04.2024 22:46:30] A/)-Lazurith: I reckon that's kinda the reason why there's little to no human infrastructure out there.
[09.04.2024 22:46:32] A/)-Lazurith: Too dangerous.
[09.04.2024 22:46:38] Whiplash: [She starts getting visibly excited.] Xi-Mao: Think I'm fast enough to out run em?
[09.04.2024 22:46:51] Whiplash: [She shakes her head.] Xi-Mao: Damnit Lilu, focus.
[09.04.2024 22:47:15] A/)-Lazurith: Oooh, I wouldn't go that far. You can only get away with tempting fate so many times, ma'am.
[09.04.2024 22:47:22] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Bet.
[09.04.2024 22:47:26] A/)-Lazurith: 'Fore, uh, fate bites back, I mean.
[09.04.2024 22:47:36] A/)-Lazurith: Hell, fate bit me a bunch o' times.
[09.04.2024 22:48:05] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Makes /me/ feel alive...but I digress. No H-fuel ports, so what in the devil does it use?
[09.04.2024 22:48:12] A/)-Lazurith: Of all the places t' be in, I reckon the Omicron sectors really ain't the safest pick of the deck of cards.
[09.04.2024 22:48:21] A/)-Lazurith: Uh, yeah, back to biz.
[09.04.2024 22:48:54] A/)-Lazurith: Uh... hnggh. I'd hafta look at it myself. I have a hunch on what this might be.
[09.04.2024 22:49:12] A/)-Lazurith: Hang on... where'd I put my crutches...
[09.04.2024 22:49:22] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Will you keep me updated? I'd like to see if it's possible to utilize. Despite it limiting the power core, some of the.
[09.04.2024 22:49:28] Whiplash: ...simulations on the thrust were /extreme/.
[09.04.2024 22:49:36] A/)-Lazurith: Ah, fie. Why don't we just touch down and look at it together?
[09.04.2024 22:49:45] A/)-Lazurith: 'Least, I'll learn something new as well.
[09.04.2024 22:49:48] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Junker outpost is as good a place to any to tinker.
[09.04.2024 22:49:56] A/)-Lazurith: Sure thing, boss.
[09.04.2024 22:50:03] 2024-04-09 22:50:04 SMT Traffic control alert: Whiplash has docked
[09.04.2024 22:50:59] Whiplash: [She pops the canopy and jumps out. Lilu is a small woman, standing at barely 5' 1". Most tower over her.]
[09.04.2024 22:51:13] Whiplash: [She makes up for that in her personality and attitude, which makes her larger than life.]
[09.04.2024 22:51:23] Whiplash: Alright, where's that fella at?
[09.04.2024 22:51:35] A/)-Lazurith: [After the bay's doors opened to accomodate the Falchion, it touched down, its cargo bay door opening with a hiss.]
[09.04.2024 22:52:28] A/)-Lazurith: [A rather young looking man emerged from it, he seemed lanky, if not a little tall. He was walking through a clumsy use of -
[09.04.2024 22:53:51] A/)-Lazurith: a pair of crutches. His hair was remarkably fluffy, and his baby face sported something of a relaxed, and calm expression.]
[09.04.2024 22:54:08] Whiplash: [She notices the Falchion and the young man exiting. She jogs over.] Oh, do you need help? I'm small but...maybe I can help?
[09.04.2024 22:55:05] A/)-Lazurith: [He turned around to the shorter lady, giving her a half-smile.] 'ppreciate it, but I'll use my PDA to move it off my ship -
[09.04.2024 22:55:07] A/)-Lazurith: instead.
[09.04.2024 22:55:50] A/)-Lazurith: [Clumsily, he reached out to his wristpad whilst keeping balance with the other crutch, tapping a few buttons on it.]
[09.04.2024 22:56:11] Whiplash: [Lilu took a step back, brushing her hair out of her face as she did so.]
[09.04.2024 22:56:13] A/)-Lazurith: [After a few moments, a hovering panel emerged from the ship, with the mysterious engine standing proudly on it.]
[09.04.2024 22:56:48] A/)-Lazurith: [This caused a few Junkers situated around the bay to glance at the unfolding scene. It seems nothing ever happens around -
[09.04.2024 22:56:51] A/)-Lazurith: these parts.]
[09.04.2024 22:56:59] Whiplash: Doesn't even /look/ like a normal engine, does it?
[09.04.2024 22:57:41] A/)-Lazurith: [As the floating contraption hovered off the butt of the Falchion, it moved under a spotlight, revealing its composition.]
[09.04.2024 22:58:08] Whiplash: [Lilu approached, cautiously walking around the strange contraption, tapping her lips with her finger in thought.]
[09.04.2024 22:58:33] A/)-Lazurith: [It was made of multiple fragments, stuck together with little rhyme of reason.]
[09.04.2024 22:58:59] A/)-Lazurith: [Even the shape of this strange otherworldly engine didn't resemble that of an engine at all.]
[09.04.2024 22:59:30] Whiplash: [Lilu crouched down, examining the under side of the engine.] Never seen anything like it before.
[09.04.2024 22:59:31] A/)-Lazurith: [Upon closer inspection, the rectangular fragments jotted all over this machination reflected chromatic light, with a rainbow -
[09.04.2024 22:59:36] A/)-Lazurith: sheen.]
[09.04.2024 22:59:55] A/)-Lazurith: Mmmm... I might have a hunch on what this might be.
[09.04.2024 23:00:10] Whiplash: Something useable, I hope?
[09.04.2024 23:00:17] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat breathed in deeply.] Y'know. Ever heard of the Gammu?
[09.04.2024 23:01:01] Whiplash: [Lilu shook her head with a confused expression.] Nuh-uh. They someone that lives in the Omicrons?
[09.04.2024 23:01:06] Whiplash: Those weird ships the Core were going after?
[09.04.2024 23:01:26] Whiplash: [She gasps.] Is this an alien engine thing?
[09.04.2024 23:01:52] A/)-Lazurith: Oooh, well, I s'pose you could say that.
[09.04.2024 23:02:20] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat sat on the hovering table, next to the impossible machine.]
[09.04.2024 23:02:32] Whiplash: [She gets visibly excited, then it deflates all at once.] That means it probably won't work with my ship.
[09.04.2024 23:03:23] Whiplash: Man, an engine that doesn't need H-fuel to run...that'd be a trip to use at a race. I wouldn't need to stop for refueling.
[09.04.2024 23:03:56] A/)-Lazurith: [He produced a small pack of cigarettes from one of the utilitarian, extracting one with a nimble nick of the hand.]
[09.04.2024 23:04:17] A/)-Lazurith: [After putting one on his lips, he lit it with a pink plastic lighter.]
[09.04.2024 23:04:31] A/)-Lazurith: Sorry, ma'am. I'm gettin' my thinkin' cap on right now.
[09.04.2024 23:05:03] Whiplash: [She leaned back, crossed her arms, and smirked.] Gotta have fuel to do that, huh? [She motioned to the cigarette.]
[09.04.2024 23:05:59] A/)-Lazurith: [He took a long drag from the blue cigarette, letting tiny azure lines of smoke in the warm air of the Junker station.]
[09.04.2024 23:06:04] A/)-Lazurith: Mmm... somethin' like that.
[09.04.2024 23:06:06] Whiplash: ...and stop calling me ma'am. It's Lilu.
[09.04.2024 23:06:19] A/)-Lazurith: A'ight. Lilu. I'm Laz. Pleased to meet'cha.
[09.04.2024 23:06:46] A/)-Lazurith: [He offered his left hand to the lady, in an amicable offer of a handshake.]
[09.04.2024 23:07:05] Whiplash: [She reached across and shook his hand.] Pleasure.
[09.04.2024 23:07:25] Whiplash: [She looked back to the engine.] Man...I thought I /knew/ engines until this thing came along...what an enigma.
[09.04.2024 23:07:56] A/)-Lazurith: [His grip from behind his flight suit's gauntlet felt cold and a little gripping, almost as if it was a mechanical arm.]
[09.04.2024 23:08:04] A/)-Lazurith: Mmm... that's how they getcha.
[09.04.2024 23:08:36] A/)-Lazurith: [With the cigarette still in his mouth, Laz took a single crutch and moved himself on his feet with great effort.]
[09.04.2024 23:08:48] A/)-Lazurith: A'right. So... I think I know what we're lookin' at here.
[09.04.2024 23:09:20] A/)-Lazurith: [He took a small drag from his cigarette, unleashing fumes from his mouth.] This thing here belongs to the Gammu.
[09.04.2024 23:09:32] A/)-Lazurith: But, they croaked. In my book? Legitimate salvage.
[09.04.2024 23:10:04] Whiplash: Sad they're gone...but maybe I can swim amongst the stars in their name with their engines propelling me. [She smiles.]
[09.04.2024 23:10:09] Whiplash: Kind of poetic, don't you think?
[09.04.2024 23:10:23] A/)-Lazurith: Mmm... they ain't quite gone yet. They live with us, actually!
[09.04.2024 23:10:48] A/)-Lazurith: Y'see, a terrible war happened to these poor guys, the kind no one talks about.
[09.04.2024 23:10:48] Whiplash: [A look of surprise crosses her face.] Oh! Well...that's different. And here I thought I was waxing poetic by being all...deep.
[09.04.2024 23:11:27] A/)-Lazurith: [His blue eyes were glancing at the marvel of technology on the table. One of them occasionally emitted a meek cyan glow.]
[09.04.2024 23:11:50] A/)-Lazurith: These... machine people, right. They are a marvel, they developed themselves without human aid or nothin'.
[09.04.2024 23:12:19] A/)-Lazurith: However, a group of war profiteering Bounty Hunters attacked the place they were nestled in.
[09.04.2024 23:12:35] A/)-Lazurith: Now, the poor fellas are scattered. They're under our protection.
[09.04.2024 23:12:52] A/)-Lazurith: 'Cause, y'know. Who in their right minds would feel "compassion" towards an object?
[09.04.2024 23:13:11] Whiplash: [She looks away from Laz and looks to the engine and then to her ship.] All of my ships are extensions of myself.
[09.04.2024 23:13:20] Whiplash: People suck, ships are where I found...solace.
[09.04.2024 23:13:27] Whiplash: People who don't feel that are...stupid.
[09.04.2024 23:13:57] Whiplash: Compassion towards my ships are what keeps them in the air, I think. They ferry me through danger.
[09.04.2024 23:14:03] Whiplash: Even when I'm being stupid.
[09.04.2024 23:14:13] A/)-Lazurith: Hah. I understand that too well.
[09.04.2024 23:14:42] Whiplash: [She sighs.] Well, I suppose they might want their engine back then. Only right considering they were nearly destroyed.
[09.04.2024 23:14:44] A/)-Lazurith: [He took a longer drag from his cigarette.] Even I call my Falchion sweet names whenever she's on the verge of death.
[09.04.2024 23:14:59] Whiplash: [She motions to the engine.] This might help them.
[09.04.2024 23:15:10] Whiplash: Oh, I scream and kick and bite my ship sometimes, but love her all the same...all of em.
[09.04.2024 23:15:36] A/)-Lazurith: Huh... [The Technocrat raised his brown eyebrows, glancing at Lilu in genuine surprise.]
[09.04.2024 23:16:13] Whiplash: See...[she pats her chest.] The Coalition kicked me out years back when I wouldn't conform to their idiotic standards.
[09.04.2024 23:16:15] Whiplash: I had nothing.
[09.04.2024 23:16:26] Whiplash: [She smiled.] Until someone helped me. Maybe it's my turn.
[09.04.2024 23:16:44] Whiplash: Would have been damn cool though. [She glanced at the engine.]
[09.04.2024 23:16:50] A/)-Lazurith: [His playful expression got a little serious.] Oh... shoot, I'm sorry to hear that, Lilu.
[09.04.2024 23:17:09] A/)-Lazurith: How... about this. What if we ask them what they think about this?
[09.04.2024 23:17:30] A/)-Lazurith: That way, you get to keep it if they consent to it.
[09.04.2024 23:17:34] Whiplash: [She crossed her arms.] Think they would be okay with that?
[09.04.2024 23:17:40] Whiplash: With me keeping it, I mean.
[09.04.2024 23:17:44] A/)-Lazurith: Hey, it's worth a shot, ain't it?
[09.04.2024 23:17:56] Whiplash: [She inclined her head in thought.] Doesn't hurt to ask.
[09.04.2024 23:18:08] A/)-Lazurith: [He moved a hand next to his mouth in a playful way.] Besides, I REALLY want to see if this could possibly work!
[09.04.2024 23:18:32] Whiplash: [She grinned and pointed.] /There/ is that engineer that I /knew/ was in there.
[09.04.2024 23:18:47] A/)-Lazurith: No... actually, we can just try it ourselves. We'll ask the bots later!
[09.04.2024 23:19:04] Whiplash: [She paused.] I-er-last time the powercore warned of an overload.
[09.04.2024 23:19:16] Whiplash: I already blew up one ship here, I might get removed if I blow up another.
[09.04.2024 23:19:41] Whiplash: [She glanced at some of the wandering Junkers eyes in her direction. She grinned and waved at them as they shook their heads.]
[09.04.2024 23:19:55] A/)-Lazurith: [His enthusiasm breathed life onto his expression.] Ah, no worries there. Why don't we just have a look at your ship, then?
[09.04.2024 23:20:13] A/)-Lazurith: We'll take this thingie here for a spin and see how she goes.
[09.04.2024 23:20:30] Whiplash: [She turned to her ship across the bay when her hands on her hips.] Not much to look at, just a stock Tiger Shark...but sure.
[09.04.2024 23:20:53] Whiplash: Not even any weapons on it. Easier to calibrate the power feeds when you can remove a end-point.
[09.04.2024 23:21:20] A/)-Lazurith: Clever. That's exactly right, you're limiting your energy output from several ends into just one.
[09.04.2024 23:21:39] A/)-Lazurith: Which also means, less hassle for everyone!
[09.04.2024 23:21:52] Whiplash: Yep, why bother shooting when you can outrun anyone with guns!
[09.04.2024 23:22:17] A/)-Lazurith: [He began to walk with great effort towards her Tiger Shark, whilst grasping a cigarette with one hand, and a crutch with the -
[09.04.2024 23:22:18] A/)-Lazurith: other.]
[09.04.2024 23:22:43] A/)-Lazurith: [The hover-table moved along with the Technocrat.]
[09.04.2024 23:23:01] Whiplash: [She turned to look.] Are you sure you don't want help? I may be short but I /can/ help. Perks of Coalition military training.
[09.04.2024 23:23:36] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, right now, absolutely. Standing on my feet hurts me something fierce.
[09.04.2024 23:24:17] Whiplash: Good. Put your arm around my shoulder, I'll walk us over there.
[09.04.2024 23:24:20] A/)-Lazurith: S'why I'm mostly on my ship these days. I can just turn off the G-diffusers. [He gave Lilu a smirk, as the cigarette burned on-
[09.04.2024 23:24:24] A/)-Lazurith: his lips.]
[09.04.2024 23:24:37] Whiplash: Smart. Last time I broke my foot I remember doing the same thing.
[09.04.2024 23:24:55] A/)-Lazurith: Well, that's 'cause you oughta secure yourself, Lilu. Ever heard of seatbelts?
[09.04.2024 23:25:17] Whiplash: Eh. They limit my movement too much.
[09.04.2024 23:25:41] A/)-Lazurith: True. Also, no gravity makes drinking coffee a pain in the ass.
[09.04.2024 23:26:02] Whiplash: [She laughed.] Ever try to do it while under 4.5 gees? Like trying to drink mud.
[09.04.2024 23:26:26] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, /GOD/. It's more like a BALL of mud suspended in front of your face. Gross!
[09.04.2024 23:26:47] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat continued to walk on the crutch, eventually approaching the Tiger Shark.]
[09.04.2024 23:27:10] Whiplash: There she is, the "Whiplash". Figured naming another ship Troublemaker-II was inviting bad karma.
[09.04.2024 23:27:14] Whiplash: Two ships named that exploded.
[09.04.2024 23:27:36] Whiplash: [She pauses.] Was it two? Or three?
[09.04.2024 23:27:42] Whiplash: Two.
[09.04.2024 23:27:43] Whiplash: Yeah.
[09.04.2024 23:27:58] A/)-Lazurith: Hmm... interesting piece, this one. I've never seen it before, but it has one canopy... one fuel injection line...
[09.04.2024 23:28:14] A/)-Lazurith: [The Technocrat tilted his head, as he studied the length and width of the ship.]
[09.04.2024 23:28:55] Whiplash: She isn't as sexy as my Arrow...but damn if it doesn't look good. Who says Rheinlands can't design something sleek...instead of
[09.04.2024 23:28:57] Whiplash: ...bricks.
[09.04.2024 23:28:59] A/)-Lazurith: Ohhhkay. Could you point me towards the cosmic radiation filter unit?
[09.04.2024 23:29:18] A/)-Lazurith: I wonder if this one's connected to the reactor's main power or if it has its own standalone power supply.
[09.04.2024 23:29:36] Whiplash: Er, still kinda new to this design but I think that...[She ducked under the wing and tapped a panel.] Right here.
[09.04.2024 23:29:58] Whiplash: I can't read German very well but...that looks like it would be the spot.
[09.04.2024 23:30:16] A/)-Lazurith: Uh... yeah, pro'lly. It's coloured in black n' yellow, so it oughta be the right spot.
[09.04.2024 23:30:40] A/)-Lazurith: A'ight. You ought to start unplugging the whole machinery here, if you plan on makin' this work.
[09.04.2024 23:31:09] A/)-Lazurith: And on top of that, we ought to make sure we ain't causing millions of credits in damage to the Junkers here.
[09.04.2024 23:31:34] Whiplash: Uh, yeah. [She glances to some Junkers watching her from a distance with their arms crossed.] Heh-heh, hi guys.
[09.04.2024 23:31:54] Whiplash: [She climbs up on the wing and gets to work.]
[09.04.2024 23:32:16] A/)-Lazurith: [The young man glanced at the girl, while he produced another cigarette to replace his previous one.]
[09.04.2024 23:33:04] Whiplash: Reminds me of the ship my dad bought me, honestly. Singular design as an inteceptor or racer.
[09.04.2024 23:33:18] Whiplash: [She continued disconnecting various cables.] Those are always the best kind.
[09.04.2024 23:34:15] A/)-Lazurith: [His tone of voice became a little louder to compensate for the distance between them.] They're pretty, ain't they?
[09.04.2024 23:34:37] A/)-Lazurith: You're makin' me miss my Arrow, actually.
[09.04.2024 23:34:58] Whiplash: [She poked her head over the wing, her hair falling around her face.] You had an Arrow? God aren't they the /greatest/?!
[09.04.2024 23:35:27] A/)-Lazurith: They zoom around like lizards on steroids.
[09.04.2024 23:37:05] Whiplash: I should bring it out here sometime. [She ducked back out of sight.] Have a heavily modified Coalition LF engine onboard.
[09.04.2024 23:37:15] A/)-Lazurith: Hey, once you get the whole thing off, can you tell me how many couplings we're going to have to work with?
[09.04.2024 23:37:18] Whiplash: Most of it I did myself, though I did have some help from a few Junkers once when I flamed out in Copernicus.
[09.04.2024 23:37:34] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, you've been there too?
[09.04.2024 23:37:46] Whiplash: Oh yeah, I raced through the gas clouds to a song named Freebird.
[09.04.2024 23:38:01] Whiplash: [She pops back over the wing side again.] Have you heard it? Good lord it's eye-opening.
[09.04.2024 23:38:12] Whiplash: And yeah, sure, There were...four couplings.
[09.04.2024 23:38:25] Whiplash: A bit overkill for a ship this size but...probably redundancies.
[09.04.2024 23:39:11] A/)-Lazurith: Hmm... alright, gotcha.
[09.04.2024 23:39:26] A/)-Lazurith: I am something of a fan of those old-Sol classics, but I can't say I've heard that before!
[09.04.2024 23:39:45] Whiplash: [She beams a huge grin.] Check it out, it'll turn you /into/ a racer!
[09.04.2024 23:40:01] Whiplash: [She barks out a loud "Hah!" and disappears back behind the wing.]
[09.04.2024 23:42:00] A/)-Lazurith: [He chuckled to himself from down below.]
[09.04.2024 23:43:10] Whiplash: Let me know when you're ready to disconnect the synapse flows from the main safety systems.
[09.04.2024 23:43:42] Whiplash: Wouldn't want a warning light buzzing in my face the entire time I'm hauling ass from one side of a system to another.
[09.04.2024 23:43:50] A/)-Lazurith: Oh! Well, ready as I can be.
[09.04.2024 23:44:03] Whiplash: Alright in 3...2...1...
[09.04.2024 23:44:04] Whiplash: Now!
[09.04.2024 23:44:16] Whiplash: [She hits a switch and pulls a fuse from the circuit.]
[09.04.2024 23:44:23] A/)-Lazurith: [The Techie approached the green ship manufactured in Rheinland, and quickly yanked the synapse flows from the panel-
[09.04.2024 23:44:27] A/)-Lazurith: below.]
[09.04.2024 23:44:43] Whiplash: [She stood on the wing and listened.] No alarm buzzer. We should be good.
[09.04.2024 23:45:22] A/)-Lazurith: I'm seein' no trouble over here. [He poked his head around the sides of the light fighter, leaning heavily on the crutch for -
[09.04.2024 23:45:23] A/)-Lazurith: balance.]
[09.04.2024 23:45:58] Whiplash: Hell, you know what? [She looked to the Technocrat.] I probably can remove the H-fuel systems if this works.
[09.04.2024 23:46:02] Whiplash: Even more weight savings.
[09.04.2024 23:46:18] Whiplash: This might become faster than the Troublemaker.
[09.04.2024 23:46:42] A/)-Lazurith: Hmmm... don't count on it. Something NEEDS to go in the power flow intake.
[09.04.2024 23:47:06] Whiplash: [She deflates a bit.] Crap. Well...[she shrugged] was a nice thought.
[09.04.2024 23:47:15] A/)-Lazurith: But seein' as this thing here ain't compatible with H-fuel injectors or standalone fuel cells... mm.
[09.04.2024 23:47:34] A/)-Lazurith: [Laz slumped himself on the hovertable, making it wobble as it grasped for balance.]
[09.04.2024 23:47:57] A/)-Lazurith: [He produced a transparent device, about the size of a phone, as he jotted a few things on it quickly.]
[09.04.2024 23:48:21] A/)-Lazurith: I think somethin' in our net might give me the right idea on what to do next.
[09.04.2024 23:48:38] A/)-Lazurith: Can you remove the engine, while you are at it? Or do you need a hand?
[09.04.2024 23:48:52] Whiplash: [She flexed her arms.] These guns? They can handle it.
[09.04.2024 23:49:24] Whiplash: Just need to find a hoist.
[09.04.2024 23:49:36] Whiplash: [She jumped off the wing and went to talk to the Junkers nearby.]
[09.04.2024 23:50:26] Whiplash: [After motioning to the ship and doing a mocking prayer pose in begging, the Junker threw his hands up and pointed to a corner.
[09.04.2024 23:50:33] Whiplash: [She did a small dance and rushed off to the hoist.]
[09.04.2024 23:51:13] Whiplash: [Wheeling it back, she cranked up the small engine near the bottom and six arms unfurled themselves from the center post.]
[09.04.2024 23:51:55] Whiplash: [Each arm hooked into what looked like a over-grown bushing which after the arm connected, appeared unfurl into a hook which-
[09.04.2024 23:52:18] Whiplash: -then disconnected from the frame of the ship. A small cradle at the bottom carried the weight of the engine after the mounts-
[09.04.2024 23:52:38] Whiplash: -were disconnected. The engine was free. Lilu wheeled the motor assisted wheels back away from the ship slowly, careful not to-
[09.04.2024 23:52:44] Whiplash: -damage the ships frame or other components.]
[09.04.2024 23:53:04] Whiplash: [This all took approximately ten minutes from start to end.]
[09.04.2024 23:53:23] Whiplash: [Lilu wiped her brow and smiled at the ship with her hands behind her head.] Engine removed.
[09.04.2024 23:54:08] Whiplash: Good thing we removed all those connections before hand, looks like you can do it after the engine is out but it looks like a-
[09.04.2024 23:54:12] Whiplash: -giant pain in the ass.
[09.04.2024 23:55:02] A/)-Lazurith: Dang, well done! I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help.
[09.04.2024 23:55:29] A/)-Lazurith: [He gave a vague glance towards the medtech braces gripped around both of his legs.]
[09.04.2024 23:55:39] Whiplash: [She glanced at Laz, a borderline manic look in her eyes.] You kiddin'? I love doing this stuff. [She chuckled.] Sorry, I'm-
[09.04.2024 23:55:42] Whiplash: -really into this stuff.
[09.04.2024 23:55:59] Whiplash: Even if I almost blow myself up on a monthly basis.
[09.04.2024 23:57:23] A/)-Lazurith: [Her enthusiasm caused him to return a grin in her direction.]
[09.04.2024 23:57:53] A/)-Lazurith: Alright, alright. Look, I think I scoured our files long enough to... figure somethin' out.
[09.04.2024 23:58:18] Whiplash: [She hopped up on the wing, her legs swinging back and forth, listening intently.]
[09.04.2024 23:58:34] A/)-Lazurith: Now, don't panic, but I reckon this thing here... runs on cosmic rads.
[09.04.2024 23:59:07] Whiplash: [She blinked.] Laz, I'm an ex-Coalition intercept pilot who now races borderline functional ships...I've no idea what that means.
[09.04.2024 23:59:38] A/)-Lazurith: Uh, sorry. How much do you know about solar radiation?
[09.04.2024 23:59:51] Whiplash: Well enough not to go too close to a star lest it melt my hull.
[10.04.2024 00:00:09] Whiplash: Wait, are you saying it runs on /solar/ rays?
[10.04.2024 00:00:18] Whiplash: Or just...light?
[10.04.2024 00:00:45] A/)-Lazurith: Light is made of radiation, basically!
[10.04.2024 00:01:08] Whiplash: [She leaned back in thought.] I'd have to be careful not to stay in nebulae too long then.
[10.04.2024 00:01:11] A/)-Lazurith: Your cosmic rad unit over there absorbs it, so that you don't cook like baked beans while inside your canopy.
[10.04.2024 00:01:48] Whiplash: [She glanced to the rad unit and a lightbulb went off.] Could you connect the rad unit /too/ the intake on that engine?
[10.04.2024 00:02:03] Whiplash: Funnel the...uh...cosmic rays into it?
[10.04.2024 00:02:46] A/)-Lazurith: Yyyyyep.
[10.04.2024 00:03:12] Whiplash: [She drummed her hands on the wing and leaned forward with a manic smile.] Would that solve the powerplant from overloading?
[10.04.2024 00:03:59] A/)-Lazurith: Hmm. [He intertwined his fingers, moving them closer to his chin.] We'll just... have to try that out, I suppose!
[10.04.2024 00:04:29] Whiplash: I /knew/ seeking you out was the right choice! Hah! [She clapped her hands together and lept off the wing.]
[10.04.2024 00:06:25] Whiplash: Alright, I don't see any mounts on this engine is the problem...
[10.04.2024 00:06:43] Whiplash: [She glanced to the rear of the empty engine bay and back to the strange engine before them.]
[10.04.2024 00:06:49] Whiplash: I should have considered that.
[10.04.2024 00:06:51] A/)-Lazurith: Hmm. I reckon it's a magnetic piece of some kind.
[10.04.2024 00:07:16] Whiplash: [She tapped her finger to her lips again, a clear tell that she is thinking deeply.]
[10.04.2024 00:07:37] Whiplash: Maybe, I'm not sure the hoist is compatable.
[10.04.2024 00:07:39] A/)-Lazurith: I wonder if these people have magnetic clamps that also work as power converters?
[10.04.2024 00:07:58] Whiplash: [She glanced over to the Junker that she had spoken with before. He sighed and walked away.]
[10.04.2024 00:08:06] Whiplash: Me thinks that he was listening in, Junkers can't help themselves.
[10.04.2024 00:08:32] A/)-Lazurith: [He returned a little shrug.] Makes sense, they're snoopin' around to make sure we're not doing anything weird.
[10.04.2024 00:09:00] Whiplash: [A few moments later, he wheeled something over to the bay stopped and grumbled something about not blowing up another bay.]
[10.04.2024 00:09:26] Whiplash: [Lilu smiled and waved. Through gritted teeth she said: I don't think I can come back here anymore after this.]
[10.04.2024 00:09:42] Whiplash: [She wheeled around.] Okay, what's your plan?
[10.04.2024 00:10:13] A/)-Lazurith: My plan is the following... though, brace yourself, 'cause it might be a little scuffed.
[10.04.2024 00:10:22] A/)-Lazurith: And by a little, I mean... VERY scuffed.
[10.04.2024 00:10:39] Whiplash: [She jumped back and forth between both feet lightly clapping her hands together in glee.]
[10.04.2024 00:10:50] Whiplash: Those. Are. The. Best. Kind.
[10.04.2024 00:10:59] A/)-Lazurith: A fuel injection system provides a reliable stream of energy for the whole ship, right?
[10.04.2024 00:11:12] A/)-Lazurith: It's the thing that turns H-fuel into power through the engine itself.
[10.04.2024 00:11:17] Whiplash: Sure.
[10.04.2024 00:11:58] A/)-Lazurith: Now... if we were to totally skip this step, and instead replace the injection systems with magnetic converters?
[10.04.2024 00:12:29] Whiplash: [She looked over Laz's shoulder into nothingness for a few moments, thinking. A smile slowly eclipsed her face.]
[10.04.2024 00:12:30] A/)-Lazurith: We could try to connect the cosmic radiation filter to that big ol' alien engine, and then use the clamps to connect it back-
[10.04.2024 00:12:32] A/)-Lazurith: to the ship.
[10.04.2024 00:12:53] Whiplash: [She snapped her fingers.] That could work!
[10.04.2024 00:13:46] Whiplash: This is a bit outside of my purview, so you're gonna have to walk me through this.
[10.04.2024 00:14:00] Whiplash: Better I do it anyway, so I have an understanding of how it works.
[10.04.2024 00:14:13] A/)-Lazurith: Alright. No problem.
[10.04.2024 00:14:51] A/)-Lazurith: [The techie hoisted himself up with the help of the crutch.]
[10.04.2024 00:15:20] A/)-Lazurith: [Without a word, he walked back to the Falchion sitting by the other side of the bay, limping along the way.]
[10.04.2024 00:16:19] Whiplash: [Lilu looked at the engine--her face split wide by a monsterous grin.] An engine that runs of light. We're in the future now.
[10.04.2024 00:16:29] A/)-Lazurith: [And after a few minutes or so, he returned, with a long spool of thick and large wires, wrapped around his shoulder.]
[10.04.2024 00:17:04] A/)-Lazurith: [Two alligator clips could be seen, as they hanged aimlessly from the wire spool.]
[10.04.2024 00:17:34] Whiplash: [Lilu sighed seeing all the wiring.] Well, I did say I would do it. [She popped her neck and cracked her knuckles.]
[10.04.2024 00:18:18] A/)-Lazurith: [With a grunt, the technocrat abandoned the thick cables. They looked about as thick as the size of a regular pill bottle.]
[10.04.2024 00:18:38] A/)-Lazurith: Phew... okay. Here's what we can do.
[10.04.2024 00:18:44] A/)-Lazurith: We could... erhmm.
[10.04.2024 00:18:59] A/)-Lazurith: Turn the engine upside down, whilst setting it with a low voltage setting.
[10.04.2024 00:19:10] A/)-Lazurith: That way, we can see if it'll work at all.
[10.04.2024 00:19:23] Whiplash: [She nodded, suddenly focused and serious.] Got it.
[10.04.2024 00:19:58] Whiplash: [She connected the end of the engine to a clamp on the bottom of the hoist, being /extremely/ careful not to damage the engine-
[10.04.2024 00:19:58] A/)-Lazurith: Next, we plug the rad unit to the thing. After that, we plug that... into the ship's injector input.
[10.04.2024 00:20:19] A/)-Lazurith: And then, you'll have to climb in the canopy... and we'll see if it works.
[10.04.2024 00:20:35] A/)-Lazurith: Does that work?
[10.04.2024 00:20:58] Whiplash: [She nodded affirming his statement, focusing on the claw which now grabbed the engine in it's embrace.]
[10.04.2024 00:21:32] Whiplash: [The claw rotated slowly until the engine was upside down. Next, Lilu hoisted herself up into the exposed entry to the ship via
[10.04.2024 00:21:47] Whiplash: -the back of the ship...being small had it's advantages.]
[10.04.2024 00:22:02] Whiplash: So f*cking dark in here...[she said, her voice muffled.]
[10.04.2024 00:22:30] A/)-Lazurith: Yunno... if my hunch is correct, I think the power output we'll see comin' from this thing will be proportional to the amount -
[10.04.2024 00:22:38] Whiplash: [BAM!] Ow! Mother-[She began swearing in a variety of languages, ranging from Russian, Chinese, English, and others.]
[10.04.2024 00:22:38] A/)-Lazurith: of rads you've collected with your cosmic rad filter unit.
[10.04.2024 00:22:48] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, shoot! You okay in there?
[10.04.2024 00:23:05] Whiplash: Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just darker than a witches asshole in here.
[10.04.2024 00:23:38] Whiplash: Yeah, that should work. [She said affirming his previous statement.]
[10.04.2024 00:23:46] Death: John.Hallock suffered a self-inflicted catastrophic decompression.
[10.04.2024 00:24:19] Whiplash: [She crawled out of the engine bay, her face covered in what looked like oil and soot, she pulled out a cable and searched for-
[10.04.2024 00:24:24] Whiplash: -a place to connect the cable.]
[10.04.2024 00:24:34] Whiplash: Nrgh...where do I connect the connection for the rad unit?
[10.04.2024 00:25:06] A/)-Lazurith: Uh...
[10.04.2024 00:25:16] A/)-Lazurith: Let me think...
[10.04.2024 00:25:31] A/)-Lazurith: Right, the rad unit goes to the engine's input.
[10.04.2024 00:25:53] A/)-Lazurith: It'll work as out injector. [The Technocrat stumbled closer to the girl popping out of the engine.]
[10.04.2024 00:25:56] Whiplash: This thing is so foreign, I feel like I'm re-learning propulsion theory all over again.
[10.04.2024 00:26:08] A/)-Lazurith: Ah, don't worry. I'm learning something with you as well.
[10.04.2024 00:27:35] Whiplash: Okay, there we go.
[10.04.2024 00:27:41] A/)-ACV-Achlys: <:: [ALERT] Initiating combat protocols. Diverting power to primary weapon systems | Acquiring target lock. ::>
[10.04.2024 00:27:56] A/)-ACV-Achlys: <:: [ONLINE] ::>
[10.04.2024 00:28:34] A/)-Lazurith: [The wristpad on Laz's arm blared in red, emitting a repeating "beep".]
[10.04.2024 00:28:41] A/)-Lazurith: Holy shi-- what the fuck's happening now?
[10.04.2024 00:28:54] Whiplash: [She glanced up, working on the next component.] Everything alright?
[10.04.2024 00:28:58] A/)-Lazurith: [He turned his attention to the wristpad, and began to speak on it.]
[10.04.2024 00:29:29] Whiplash: [Lilu shrugged and resumed working on the engine, connecting it's various tangled wires together while utilizing those Laz-
[10.04.2024 00:29:34] Whiplash: -brought over from his ship.]
[10.04.2024 00:29:42] A/)-Lazurith: Uh... I think a fight just broke out.
[10.04.2024 00:29:55] Whiplash: Do you need to go help? I think I can get the rest of this connected.
[10.04.2024 00:30:22] A/)-Lazurith: No, I guess they got it covered...
[10.04.2024 00:30:42] A/)-Lazurith: Phew. That gave me a scare. [He slumped himself back on the hovertable, now deprived of Lilu's prized possession.]
[10.04.2024 00:31:08] Whiplash: Okay...[She said taking a step back and leaning on the hovertable next to him.] It's all connected, I think.
[10.04.2024 00:31:41] Whiplash: [She motioned to the engine.] If you want to take a look to verify my work...it would be appreciated.
[10.04.2024 00:31:45] A/)-Lazurith: Alright. Great, let's fire 'er up and see what happens!
[10.04.2024 00:31:56] Whiplash: Last time I did this, I blew a hole in one of their bays.
[10.04.2024 00:32:20] Whiplash: [She glanced at the same Junker from before, his face was a barely contained color of red.]
[10.04.2024 00:32:23] A/)-Lazurith: [Lazzie gave a general quick glance to her handiwork.]
[10.04.2024 00:32:44] A/)-Lazurith: Mm... no, I think you got the right clamps, actually.
[10.04.2024 00:32:52] A/)-Lazurith: Input is in the right knob, output is back to the ship.
[10.04.2024 00:33:48] Whiplash: [She pushed herself off the table.] No time like the present I guess.
[10.04.2024 00:34:06] Whiplash: [She hopped up to the wing, and shimmied around to the open cockpit.]
[10.04.2024 00:34:23] Whiplash: [She went through a standard pre-flight proceedure even if she wasn't taking off.]
[10.04.2024 00:34:29] Whiplash: Okay, here goes nothing.
[10.04.2024 00:34:57] Whiplash: [She hit the ignition and the engine began shimmering a strange pattern in the rainbow color across it's surface.]
[10.04.2024 00:35:10] Whiplash: [Slowly, a green hue surrounded it and green haze eminated from the engine core.]
[10.04.2024 00:35:25] A/)-Lazurith: [Laz took a wide berth from the engine, using his crutch to quickly get away.]
[10.04.2024 00:35:37] A/)-Lazurith: Holy smokes! I think it's workin'!
[10.04.2024 00:35:46] Whiplash: [Lilu examined the readouts closely.]
[10.04.2024 00:35:51] Whiplash: Not seeing any warning lights.
[10.04.2024 00:36:06] Whiplash: [Her focus broke and she burst into a grin.] I think it's operational.
[10.04.2024 00:36:32] Whiplash: Not sure what it's fuel level is at though considering it hasn't been on since I found it in Delta.
[10.04.2024 00:37:13] A/)-Lazurith: Any kind of cosmic rads from your filter will surely charge it up!
[10.04.2024 00:37:21] Whiplash: I guess there's only one way to find out. [She leaned out of the cockpit.] Want to see if this thing flies?
[10.04.2024 00:37:33] Whiplash: [She cackled a borderline manic chuckle.]
[10.04.2024 00:37:37] A/)-Lazurith: Sure thing! Put her to good use!
[10.04.2024 00:37:42] Whiplash: Alright, see you out there?
[10.04.2024 00:37:44] A/)-Lazurith: Can't help you hoist 'er up, though.
[10.04.2024 00:37:49] A/)-Lazurith: Yep! See you in space, Lilu.
[10.04.2024 00:37:49] Whiplash: Oh...right.
[10.04.2024 00:37:57] Whiplash: I'll get that done and be right out.
[10.04.2024 00:38:13] A/)-Lazurith: Sorry. I swear, if my legs weren't cooked, I'd've helped you.
[10.04.2024 00:38:33] Whiplash: [She worked on hoisting up the engine into the empty hole in the rear of the ship.] Been meaning to ask...what happened?
[10.04.2024 00:38:36] Whiplash: If it's not too personal.
[10.04.2024 00:38:49] A/)-Lazurith: Ah. Well, I'm not very liked by some people.
[10.04.2024 00:39:00] A/)-Lazurith: They tried to kill me. This one time, they came awfully close to it.
[10.04.2024 00:39:29] Whiplash: [Her face changed from one of concern to one of darkness.] You did right by me...if I was still in the forces...
[10.04.2024 00:39:34] A/)-Lazurith: My fuel injectors got cooked in the process. Fire in my cabin.
[10.04.2024 00:39:55] Whiplash: [She shook her head in dismay as the engine sealed to the chassis.] People are assholes.
[10.04.2024 00:40:11] Whiplash: I have some connects in MFE. Maybe I can reach out on your behalf.
[10.04.2024 00:40:44] Whiplash: [She continued speaking as she inspected the rest of the ship for pre-flight.] They're pretty good with medical...tech is your-
[10.04.2024 00:40:46] Whiplash: -area though.
[10.04.2024 00:41:01] A/)-Lazurith: Ah, not to worry. We have some damn good medtechs ourselves. A few more visits to my clinics and I should be right as rain.
[10.04.2024 00:41:18] Whiplash: Good. Next time you see the people who did that to you, pop them in the face a few times for me, eh?
[10.04.2024 00:41:42] Whiplash: Alright. [She clapped and grinned.] Let's see what this baby can do!
[10.04.2024 00:41:58] A/)-Lazurith: Heh. Yep, let's. I'll see you out there!
[10.04.2024 00:42:08] Whiplash: [She hopped up to the canopy and turned.] As another racer once told me: "Let's boogie!"
[10.04.2024 00:42:11] Warning: incompatible technology detected: AI-LF Propulsion Drive, reducing power plant output to 10% to compensate
[10.04.2024 00:42:35] A/)-Lazurith: [He walked towards his Falchion, his balance heavily leaning on his crutch along the way.]
[10.04.2024 00:42:47] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Alright...read outs are still looking good. Sub-harmonics are actualized...
[10.04.2024 00:42:57] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Readouts are green.
[10.04.2024 00:43:05] A/)-Lazurith: Holy smokes, it's seriously working.
[10.04.2024 00:43:07] Whiplash: [She cracks her neck.]
[10.04.2024 00:43:18] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Let's hit it, once around the planet in the rings.
[10.04.2024 00:43:28] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: WOAH NELLY!
[10.04.2024 00:43:48] A/)-Lazurith: How does it feel?
[10.04.2024 00:43:53] A/)-Lazurith: Got enough stability?
[10.04.2024 00:43:56] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Stable.
[10.04.2024 00:44:08] A/)-Lazurith: I... holy shit, I cannot believe this is actually working.
[10.04.2024 00:44:23] A/)-Lazurith: This is ridiculous! Hahaha!
[10.04.2024 00:44:23] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I am getting some funky readings. Ghost readings.
[10.04.2024 00:44:32] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Nothing serious though.
[10.04.2024 00:44:47] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Has some serious thrust.
[10.04.2024 00:44:56] A/)-Lazurith: Hm... must be the sudden change in output energy.
[10.04.2024 00:45:11] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Or whatever mass this thing pushed was MUCH larger.
[10.04.2024 00:45:16] A/)-Lazurith: Hey - if I were you, I'd get a stronger filter installed.
[10.04.2024 00:45:21] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Watch this...
[10.04.2024 00:45:40] A/)-Lazurith: Damn! Now I get why it's called Whiplash!
[10.04.2024 00:45:54] Whiplash: [She howls.]
[10.04.2024 00:46:08] A/)-Lazurith: Ow... a Falchion is not as nimble as an interceptor...
[10.04.2024 00:46:24] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Shield generation is slow. Might need to tweak that a bit.
[10.04.2024 00:46:30] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Might be pulling more power than it needs.
[10.04.2024 00:47:00] A/)-Lazurith: Whooo-ee.
[10.04.2024 00:47:09] A/)-Lazurith: I can't-- I just can't believe this actually works.
[10.04.2024 00:47:25] A/)-Lazurith: THAT is impressive.
[10.04.2024 00:47:35] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Well, it's not 100%, there are still some things to sort out. Like the extra power draw...but that's just tweaking.
[10.04.2024 00:48:22] Whiplash: [She looks over the systems.] Xi-Mao: Plus, other than the engines this thing is still stock.
[10.04.2024 00:48:32] A/)-Lazurith: Fuck, using magnetic clamps as a catalyst to flush absorbed cosmic rads into an engine that converts it into power...
[10.04.2024 00:48:32] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: The scanners are abysmal.
[10.04.2024 00:48:46] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, shoot. That's not supposed to happen.
[10.04.2024 00:49:00] A/)-Lazurith: Are you totally blind? No scope stuff at all?
[10.04.2024 00:49:10] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Oh-no, not that. They're just bone stock.
[10.04.2024 00:49:18] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Haha, this ship was just bought...last week?
[10.04.2024 00:49:34] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I already tore it apart too. [She bursts into laughter.]
[10.04.2024 00:50:23] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I'm wondering if I should beef up the external arrays too.
[10.04.2024 00:50:50] A/)-Lazurith: A spook? Here?
[10.04.2024 00:50:52] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Hmm? That's an odd sight out this far...isn't it?
[10.04.2024 00:51:09] A/)-Lazurith: Looks like they ain't much for convos.
[10.04.2024 00:51:10] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: My scanners aren't THAT mucked up...
[10.04.2024 00:51:10] BDM|U-42: Hardly, we're reknowned for our sightseeing
[10.04.2024 00:51:12] A/)-Lazurith: Who sent you?
[10.04.2024 00:51:14] A/)-Lazurith: Viper?
[10.04.2024 00:51:20] A/)-Lazurith: Are you here to shoot me, too?
[10.04.2024 00:51:24] BDM|U-42: The Director?
[10.04.2024 00:51:27] A/)-Lazurith: Yes.
[10.04.2024 00:52:04] BDM|U-42: I'm not aware of any orders for our mission out here
[10.04.2024 00:52:15] BDM|U-42: Is there a reason why the Director would want you dead?
[10.04.2024 00:52:38] A/)-Lazurith: It's less so that she wants me dead, it's more like she was trying to give me warning shots.
[10.04.2024 00:52:46] A/)-Lazurith: Which, by the way, burned my legs into a crisp.
[10.04.2024 00:53:10] BDM|U-42: That's the first I'm hearing of it
[10.04.2024 00:53:13] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Ah. So they're the ones.
[10.04.2024 00:53:26] BDM|U-42: Extended Logistics seems to be the last to get any real news
[10.04.2024 00:53:48] A/)-Lazurith: Hm... logistics, eh.
[10.04.2024 00:54:03] A/)-Lazurith: Sorry, pal. I'm wary around you guys. For reasons you will hopefully understand.
[10.04.2024 00:54:26] BDM|U-42: I doubt you'd have stronger words that I haven't heard from my own mother
[10.04.2024 00:54:55] Whiplash: [In a private comm]: I saw some reports on these guys before I left the Coalition. They have double speak within double speak.
[10.04.2024 00:55:16] Whiplash: Believe nothing they say, spooks don't have logistics.
[10.04.2024 00:55:37] BDM|U-42: Well, I must be off - good day to both of you
[10.04.2024 00:55:43] BDM|U-42: Unless of course, the Director forbids it
[10.04.2024 00:55:50] BDM|U-42: in which case, please forget what I've said
[10.04.2024 00:56:01] A/)-Lazurith: Look, if you see her, just tell her I'm doing what she asked.
[10.04.2024 00:56:01] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Mmmhmm.
[10.04.2024 00:56:14] A/)-Lazurith: Now git.
[10.04.2024 00:56:38] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Hmm. They're the same breed no matter what house they come from.
[10.04.2024 00:56:47] A/)-Lazurith: Nnrgh.
[10.04.2024 00:57:05] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: LSF, BDM, KOI, they're all liars.
[10.04.2024 00:57:24] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Given orders to perpetuate their own house and make them seem larger than they are.
[10.04.2024 00:57:40] A/)-Lazurith: But to come all the way here is an affront.
[10.04.2024 00:57:41] Whiplash: [She laughs.] Xi-Mao: Listen to me, Christ, I sound like my /father/.
[10.04.2024 00:57:58] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Forget the spook, we've accomplished something here today.
[10.04.2024 00:58:06] A/)-Lazurith: Ahh, yeah.
[10.04.2024 00:58:18] A/)-Lazurith: Sorry, for a moment I thought I had to step on the pedal and run for my life again.
[10.04.2024 00:58:33] A/)-Lazurith: I just had 'ta make sure that wasn't the case.
[10.04.2024 00:58:38] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I would've covered your escape by distraction, that ship couldn't hit me.
[10.04.2024 00:58:53] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Even without weapons, I can be a nuisance. [She laughs.]
[10.04.2024 00:59:23] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Well...all this excitement today has worn me flat out. As I left the Junkers told me not to come back.
[10.04.2024 00:59:30] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: So I guess I'm bunking with the Zoners.
[10.04.2024 01:03:08] A/)-LV-Granite: <:: Salutations {!} ::>
[10.04.2024 01:03:12] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Ah, another Technocrat, hello there!
[10.04.2024 01:05:24] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: So, want to make sure I don't catch a case of the explosions on my way to the Freeport? [She laughs.]
[10.04.2024 01:05:34] A/)-Lazurith: Sure! I'll watch over you.
[10.04.2024 01:05:49] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Damn this thing has some thrust.
[10.04.2024 01:06:21] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Should put this in a journal or something...if you all have those...I'm told scientists and techies have them.
[10.04.2024 01:07:19] A/)-Lazurith: Hah.
[10.04.2024 01:07:26] A/)-Lazurith: You mean like a lab log or something?
[10.04.2024 01:07:29] A/)-Lazurith: I'm not THAT much of a nerd.
[10.04.2024 01:07:41] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Well...maybe not. That way this ship can be unique.
[10.04.2024 01:08:05] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Alright, well, I'll try not to blow up anymore landing bays.
[10.04.2024 01:08:21] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Let me know where I can send some credits for services rendered. After all, this was no picnic.
[10.04.2024 01:08:21] A/)-Lazurith: Make sure to change your filter very often and very carefully.
[10.04.2024 01:08:35] A/)-Lazurith: Uh, just send 'em to me if you want!
[10.04.2024 01:08:45] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Will do. Should I have any troubles with her that I can't handle, I'll bring 'er back around.
[10.04.2024 01:08:50] A/)-Lazurith: See, ordinarily the Technocrats are kind of... well...
[10.04.2024 01:08:58] A/)-Lazurith: Very, and I mean, very strict about this kind of stuff.
[10.04.2024 01:09:16] A/)-Lazurith: Since we're buds with the Gammu, we're preserving their technology, and ordinarily any other techie would make sure -
[10.04.2024 01:09:17] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Let's see...I have some winnings from a few days ago. Some poor sucker got sharked. Haha.
[10.04.2024 01:09:28] A/)-Lazurith: that it would not just fall in the free market.
[10.04.2024 01:09:38] /gct 200000
[10.04.2024 01:09:38] [2024-04-10] 01:09:39 You have sent 200.000 credits to A/)-Lazurith.
[10.04.2024 01:09:42] A/)-Lazurith: Buuuut... well, I'm just-- WHOA.
[10.04.2024 01:09:48] A/)-Lazurith: That's a LOTTA credits!
[10.04.2024 01:09:48] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: That should cover it I think.
[10.04.2024 01:10:06] A/)-Lazurith: Holy smokes. Wh-- thanks!
[10.04.2024 01:10:11] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Hah, I just took it from some spoiled rich kid who thought he could beat me in a race.
[10.04.2024 01:10:32] A/)-Lazurith: Damn, you must be a heck of a racer then.
[10.04.2024 01:10:38] A/)-Lazurith: Ahh, you know what? Here, this is on me.
[10.04.2024 01:11:05] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Ah, I've heard of this before.
[10.04.2024 01:11:15] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: A Liberty delicacy, yes?
[10.04.2024 01:11:23] A/)-Lazurith: Just some good ol' Sunbucks. Yep. It comes with three complimentary pastries.
[10.04.2024 01:11:35] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: I'll be sure to have some before I hit the hay.
[10.04.2024 01:11:45] A/)-Lazurith: Uh, complementary, even.
[10.04.2024 01:11:55] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Speaking of...that's where I need to head. [She stretches and yawns.] Today was a full day.
[10.04.2024 01:12:09] A/)-Lazurith: Yep! You worked very hard.
[10.04.2024 01:12:25] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Me? You were doing most of the theorizing, I just did the heavy lifting.
[10.04.2024 01:12:33] A/)-Lazurith: Well, that's work in my book!
[10.04.2024 01:12:44] Whiplash: [She laughs a lilting laugh.] Xi-Mao: Thanks for your help on this. I'll take good care of her.
[10.04.2024 01:12:56] A/)-Lazurith: My pleasure, Lilu. Glad to have helped.
[10.04.2024 01:13:00] Whiplash: Xi-Mao: Until next time.
[10.04.2024 01:13:03] A/)-Lazurith: Take care!
[10.04.2024 01:13:04] Whiplash: [She bows.]
[10.04.2024 01:13:15] A/)-Lazurith: [Laz emulated the bow in turn.]
[10.04.2024 01:13:36] A/)-Lazurith: Oh, one more thing! Don't forget to press the thermite button on the Sunbucks cup!
[10.04.2024 01:13:41] A/)-Lazurith: That way, it'll get warmed up!
