I am pleased to inform you that the limited forces we currently have are growing at a constant rate, slow but constant.
With the addition of the Militant Lance, we now have two Gunboats ready for combat, with motivated and experienced crews, the little that was left behind after my father's self-imposed exile will deprive us of the best crews and ships.
The Militant Lance has rendezvoused with her sister ship the Custodian in FP11 from where they carry out patrols with the aim of supporting the forces present there combating the Nomad threat.
It is my duty and my pride to report that the guard forces, together with a large group of the Order, recently killed a Nomad detachment. Please excuse the delay in this report, you already know our situation and I will not go into details of the huge number of work and lack of personnel that the ministry currently suffers.
This letter serves to request your honors to promote the ensigns participating in the skirmish to Lieutenant since they shot down a cruiser and helped decisively with a Nomad Battleship.
Alferez Victor Kerensky, for the destruction of a Nomad cruiser.
Alferez Alfred Nolan, for assistance in the destruction of a Nomad Battleship.
May the gears of Deux always turn in your favor
P.S. The recruitment of volunteers for the 1st Faithhaven Rangers Battalion has been successfully completed, we have even had to reject some, basic training has already begun and morale is very high, although converting these faithful into soldiers will take time, may I remind you of the importance of a prompt arrival of the necessary equipment to assemble the battalion and begin live fire practices.

NCC Pontiff His Holiness Gregorius XCVII
Good morning, Field Maestre de Alba:
I'm glad to hear good news in these times, and I thank you for quickly communicating it to the Curia.
That our Pontifical Guard grows means that we will be able to better protect our people, and if necessary, also our neighbors. It's essential to keep the morale of the troops high, because we may very soon have to face difficult situations.
On the other hand, the arrival of this second gunship is very welcome. It is important that the Guard accumulates means and equipment, as well as personnel, to be able to have options for action in the face of the dangers that surround us. In particular, this new ship will help reinforce the orbital protection of Planet Pygar, and the surroundings of the Corfu station if a Corsair attack occurs, and we'll also be able to better support Phoenix's forces if they need us.
However, for the moment we find ourselves in a moment of tense calm in the face of the Corsair threat, and although this tension is unpleasant, let us hope that it doesn't end up exploding, Deux willing. That is why I totally agree with you that, for now, our gunships should be deployed around Freeport 11 to patrol Delta, and help the Order. We mustn't forget that Our Lord Deux has already warned us of what our great and true enemy is, the Nomad threat, those aberrations that only desire the death and destruction of Mankind.
And as you inform us, this work of supporting the Order in the destruction of the enemies of Mankind is already being carried out! I want to congratulate you, my son, on the victory that our Guard has collaborated to achieve. That is the path that Deux points out to us, and we must continue on it tirelessly.
Of course, the gunboat commanders must be rewarded for their bravery and faith. I appreciate that you request permission from the Curia to promote them, but as usual the Curia tries not to interfere in military organization decisions, which correspond to the Ministry of Defense that you head. Feel free to reward this commanders as you think is appropriate, and arrange the promotion ceremony, Field Maestre. It will be a pleasure to be present to bless them.
Regarding the equipment for the new militia, Monsignor Richelieu informed me a few hours ago that our order has already been accepted by the suppliers. This means that in a short time it will be transported here by the company that has been hired for this purpose. I know that it is taking longer than expected, but bringing a shipment of those characteristics and size safely and without raising unwanted suspicions requires very strict precautionary measures that obviously cause a delay. Remain patient, and Deux will provide, He always does.

*The face of the man in the image suddenly moves away from the camera lens*
Eeeeeh... Is this working? Yes? Oh Deux, finally...
*He takes a seat and tries to fit himself into the image*
Greetings, Monsignor Richelieu, or whoever is listening to me.
I'm afraid I've very bad news. 4 days ago, I was in command of the trade ship Asmodeus, while returning from a commercial voyage in the Bretonia area. We were passing through Omicron Delta, on our way to Freeport 11, when our radars began to beep at an unknown strange presence, with the size of a gunship. In a few minutes we were overtaken by that thing, and I could see it from the bridge. It was one of those shiny blue monsters that appear in the Sacred Machina Codex, the same ones that the clerics show us in the ceremonies in the Temple. This Nomad bastards...
Everything happened at full speed. Those of us who were on the bridge began to hear some kind of... transmission, but I could swear it was coming at the same time from the speakers and inside our own heads... It was saying things... I can barely remember it, but... Yeah! It called us blasphemous! This aberration, to us, can you imagine...? And its words... were full of hate.
*The man runs his hands over his face*
I lunged at the helm and tried to escape, but it was impossible. That thing threw... something at us, which turned off our cruise motor. I collapsed to the ground while the alarms were ringing, and we heard the impacts of the shots on the hull... You can call them shots, right? Because those things shoot, although I don't really know what, or how they do it... I don't even know how I got up from there, but we ran to the escape pods, and I think it was just in time because there was a big explosion just before we ejected.
23 of the 30 crew members of the Asmodeus were able to escape, the rest were left behind when the ship decompressed through holes in the hull. The capsules cryostasis system worked well, and the emergency beacons were turned on, so yesterday we were rescued by the Atlantis, which was traveling the same trade route as us.
We survivors are relatively well and are recovering from the cryo symptoms, but it turns out that here there are also 26 survivors of the merchant ship Holy Cargo Hold, that were collected in their escape pods by the Atlantis three days ago. I don't know if you remember that Holy Cargo Hold disappeared about a week ago. Well, its captain, Mr. Jack Cucumbell, has told us that his ship was destroyed by a monster similar to the one that attacked us, in Omicron Theta, next to the Omega 41 jump hole. His story is frankly identical to ours, and it's terrifying to say that if those monsters were next to the Omega 41 jump, they are getting much closer to home than we thought.
We're all heading towards Pygar right now, we hope to arrive in two days maximum. We have the coordinates where the wrecks of the Holy Cargo Hold and the Asmodeus are located. From what the Atlantis crew says, we believe that both ships can be recoverable if a team of technicians and engineers is sent to reseal the holes and restart the engines. I hope they can do it, those ships are damn expensive. In any case, I will submit a written report upon my arrival.

NCC Minister of Economy and Commerce Monsignor Charles Richelieu
Greetings.
I turn first to Captain Hansen aboard the Atlantis. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your crew, and convey the same condolences to Captain Cucumbell. These men have died trying to fulfill the Sacred Mandate of Deux, at the hands of the Nomad aberrations that seek our extermination, as He shows us. There should be no doubt that right now they have merged with Deux in the infinity of space, and they observe us smiling from the very eyes of Our Lord.
The Ministry will take care of their families, of course, who will immediately be financially compensated. It's a poor consolation, but it's all we can do, within the limitations imposed on us by our own mortality. We will celebrate their lives in the Temple in a great ceremony, and we will bid them farewell with all the honors they deserve.
I have communicated this tragic news to our Field Maestre, and all possible measures are being taken to increase Pontifical Guard patrols in the areas where the attacks occurred. We hope that this will allow us to better protect the transports of our Trade Division.
Regarding the ships, we will send a team of professionals to the wrecks, as you say, to see if it is possible to recover them and put them into operation. They will need major repairs, in any case, but that is better than having to purchase new transports.
I thank you for the speed in communicating this news to me, and I hope that all of you recover soon. We are waiting for you at home.
Deux be with you.
*the man on screen manipulates something on a nearby keyboard, and the image loses signal for a few moments, then stabilizes again*
Well, I've changed the encryption of the message so that from this moment on, this communication cannot be seen by anyone who doesn't have ministerial rank.
I'm now adressing the Field Maestre Martín de Alba. I've to inform you that the shipment with the weapons and ammunition that we requested arrived yesterday in perfect condition.
The contracted company has done an excellent job, both with the specifications of the order and with the transportation, and it seems that they have managed to get it to Pygar without being noticed by hostile elements. We're currently moving the cargo from the temporary warehouses in the planet's mooring fixture, to those the Guard owns in Faith Haven. I estimate that in 3 or 4 hours it will be at your complete disposal so that the training of the new militia can be carried out correctly.
NCC Gunship Custodian Commander Lieutenant Alfred Nolan
*The man on screen is bleeding profusely from a cut on his forehead, which he tries to cover with a cloth. The blood has stained his uniform red. He appears to be gesturing with fury to someone outside the frame of the image.*
I said I'll go to the infirmary when I report to command, damn it!!
*The man looks with indescribable anger at his invisible interlocutor for a few more seconds, out of shot, and then looks back at the camera. He is startled to see that he is already recording, and immediately stands at attention.*
Oh... Field Maestre... I'm so sorry, there's a damn doctor trying to take me to the med bay right now, it seems he doesn't understand the urgency of this report...
I apologize for my disastrous condition, sir, and because of the state of my uniform. We were just attacked next to Freeport 11, here in Delta. My crew and I were aboard the gunship Custodian, stationed next to the Freeport on a routine patrol operation. We had information about Nomad xenomorphs sightings near the base, so I decided to directly place a security checkpoint next to it. For several hours everything has been quiet. Merchants coming and going, some Core ships going about their business... It didn't seem like the day was going to give us any scares.
About one hour ago, our scanner detected a presence, under the callsign Dezember-609, which it identified as hostile, approaching at full speed towards the Freeport. At that moment we also had a kusari civil exploration ship Ahoudori-class, on the scanner, under the callsign RV-Pennybrooke, which was approaching from another direction. I have opened communication with the Ahoudori and I've warned it of the danger, telling it to take cover in the docks of the base, but although it approached it hasn't docked.
I haven't given it much importance, because at that moment I was more worried about the hostile entity that that continued to get closer. Finally it has stopped about 4.5K from our position next to the Freeport, and the scanner has revealed that it was a Scorpion-class drone, which is commonly used by the Nomad monsters that the Codex Machina classifies as Aberratio Incubi, and which are commonly called Wild. However, he was not at a suitable distance to examine the contents of the drone, and he wanted to clear up any doubts before making any decisions.
I've opened communications with him and asked to indicate his intentions, and I've received a response, indicating that his intention was cautious and that he was on an exploration. I've told him that it appeared hostile in our scans, and his response was that we consider recalibrating them. My idea was to try to maintain a conversation with the entity while I approached it at a sufficient distance to scan its interior, to verify if there were human life forms inside and in what state they were.
However, it hasn't been possible for me to do anything, since at that moment a Nephilim-class colony ship that was docked in Freeport 11, has undocked and has begun the attack against the hostile entity. I've tried to contact the commander to stop the attack until we were sure what we were dealing with, but I haven't gotten a response. The shooting has started between the Nephilim and the Scorpion, and we've taken the opportunity to approach from the side to scan the interior of the drone. At that moment we were able to clearly see on the screen that there was no human figure piloting that ship, but rather that the entire content was overflowing with traces of that semi-organic material that usually invades the drones that the Aberratio Incubi use.
We've activated our weapons and have begun the attack against the hostile entity. It was moving very fast, but thanks to the fire support of the colony ship we managed to get some hits against it and begin to reduce its shields. Suddenly we've started to receive fire from behind. The alarms began to beep, our shields decreased, and when I looked at the screens I realized that the shots came from the civilian Ahoudori under the call sign RV-Pennybrooke. He was helping the Nomad aberration! At first I thought it was friendly fire, but there was no doubt his cannons were clearly directing their fire at us.
The helmsman tried to evade the shots and missiles that both enemy ships were launching at us while we returned the fire, but it was impossible. The Custodian has suffered critical damage, causing the loss of the main engine, which has caught fire causing some explosions, and several shots have opened holes in the hull that have reached the core of the main generator, damaging it and shutting it down. We have had to abandon the ship in the escape capsules, and fortunately our enemies have not attacked us, once we were no longer a threat, but have focused on the colony ship. My 29 crew members and I were picked up by a Freeport 11 shuttle that, thanks to Deux, was very close.
While we were heading to the base on the shuttle we were able to feel several waves of explosions coming from the Nephilim, whose fate I currently don't know. From what we've been told since, from the radar control of Freeport 11, it must have been seriously damaged, if not destroyed, before the attackers left, and the emergency services are now trying to access the ship to attend the survivors.
On the other hand, the Custodian appears to be repairable. It will need to seal the holes in the hull, repressurize, replace the main engine, and fit a new power plant, which will cost a lot of money, but at least we will save the ship. I will contact our banking services as soon as the ship is in the Freeport 11 drydock and the engineers tell me what the final state of the damage is.
What worries me most, sir, is that the attack by the Ahoudori-class scout ship, that RV-Pennybrooke guy, has clearly been deliberate. The ship has been scanned by us prior to the battle, and those who crewed it seemed to be humans, so they were probably either heretics worshiping the Nomad spawn, or humans corrupted by the Aberratio Incubi, Deux damn them. Taking into account that the hostile ship was a drone of a model that we already know widely is used by the Incubi, I'm more inclined towards the latter option. This means, sir, that the Nomad infestation that we have been seeing for some time in Delta is much greater than we expected. Not only do we have to face xenomorphs, some of them with very respectable sizes, but also operations with humans controlled by the Aberratio Incubi, whose apparition always usually means infiltrations into human communities.
I fear we're overwhelmed, sir, if you allow me to speak freely. We don't lack courage and faith, I assure you that, and morale is high. Those things just beat us up, and my men and I already want to get back into the fight, more eagerly than ever, but we really have very little strength to secure this area. We only have two gunships to patrol all of Delta, ours and the Militant Lance of Lieutenant Kerensky, and we usually have to spread out to cover more space, which makes us much weaker.
I'm sorry to break it to you, sir, and I apologize for it, but we need reinforcements to be able to maintain this operation in Delta effectively. I know very well that right now we are not even remotely at full capacity and personnel, not to mention our means... but in my respectful opinion, it's a strategic reality that we cannot deal with this alone, for the moment. However, all of us are here to serve, and die for the Sacred Mandate of Deux if necessary. We are waiting for your orders, and whatever you command will be fulfilled.
First of all, Lieutenant Nolan, I am extremely glad that you and your crew have not suffered casualties, the ships can be repaired, but lives are invaluable to the church.
You already know our situation in terms of man power, we are short of experienced pilots and crews.
With the increase in attacks by the soulless demons on our commercial fleet, I cannot send more forces than we already have in Delta, Lieutenant Kerensky's militant Lance is en route from O-48 after a period of maintenance and updating of the shields and mine delivery system, will arrive at FP11 in the next 12-24 hours.
I am sorry to give you this bad news, Lieutenant, but I can confirm that after discussing it with his Holiness and Minister Orlov, we have arrived at what we believe will be a solution, although not permanent, if it will allow us to relieve the pressure on our limited means. .
The church right now may be short of staff and time to manage everything, but if it has anything, it is coffers full to the brim, so, although the vast majority of the inhabitants of Sirius do not believe in the truth that is behind the word of Deux, if it is full of adventurers, mercenaries and desperate people capable of doing the work of Deux under the mandate of his church for a handful of credits.
I hope you understand that I can't give you or your crew a rest period, as soon as the Custodian is ready, go out again, let's hope this project comes to fruition quickly enough so that you can take a break and visit the family.
and always remember, Deux Vult.
Martin de Alba y Espronceda, Field Master of the NCC

NCC Gunship Custodian Commander Lieutenant Alfred Nolan
Greetings Field Maestre:
The Custodian left the Freeport 11 drydock for the first time today, after repair works for the incident a few days ago. All serious damages has been fixed, and destroyed systems have been properly replaced. Therefore, through this transmission I present my report on today's activity.
The patrol carried out today has passed during the first hours without combat, and we have not found any type of Nomad movements in Delta system. Nothing outside of the usual scanner signals of merchants coming and going on their routes. We've had an encounter with a Serenity-class transport ship, the Ol'Reliable, belonging to the freelancer company MRI. If I'm not completely mistaken, it's the same company that brought us the biodomes and other materials to Pygar, to begin the expansion works at Faith Haven. We spotted him crossing Delta on his way to Nauru Terminal and followed him there to make sure he was safe on his way.
When the Ol'Reliable undocked from the mooring fixture at Nauru terminal we had the opportunity to chat by radio with its commander, whom we warned of the Nomad dangers existing in Delta. He told us about an MRI associate who must have recently had some kind of horrible experience with his ship in Delta, related to a strange transmission that he must have intercepted. He hasn't been able to tell us much more, because it's an information that he seems to have heard from third parties, but I think it's something that we should investigate. It could be related to the rise of Aberratio Incubi in the area.
While we were chatting, an Evocatus-class fighter-bomber and a Praetorian-class bomber have appeared on the radar, with a Corsair affiliation beacon. Both, with the callsigns Rikana and Gazolina, have remained a few kilometers from the Nauru terminal, roaming the area. They seemed interested in the Ol'Reliable, so I offered its commander an escort out of Delta. In principle he has accepted, but since the verbal hostility of the Corsair was increasing, he preferred to return to dock in Nauru until the space cleared. For my part, I've remained there in case any situation arose in which Ol'Reliable might need our help.
The Corsairs have been provoking us through radio communications, I suppose trying to intimidate us into leaving, or attempting to start a fight, but neither has happened. I'm well aware of the direct orders from the High Command not to confront ships of the Corsair Empire unless it's absolutely necessary, so as not to increase the already existing tension due to Freeport 9. Finally, I think that the Corsair pilots have gotten bored of waiting, realizing that the Custodian had no intention of engaging in combat against them, and left to search for more profitable prey. The Ol'Reliable has decided to continue to stay docked in Nauru Terminal for security, so we've continued with our patrol after saying goodbye.
Sir, before you reproach me, with all due respect let me say that I know perfectly well that we aren't on Omicron Delta to be the system police, but only to maintain the security of our commercial convoys against the Nomad aberrations. I assure you, I had no intention of interfering in Corsair business, nor would we've done so today if it hadn't been an MRI ship. From what I have heard, that company seems to have the favor of Monsignor Richelieu, and he's known to have a good relationship with them, so I've assumed that it would please His Eminence if we didn't allow the Ol'Reliable to be looted. If I've made a mistake, I take full responsibility.
We did the second part of the patrol accompanying Lieutenant Kerensky's Militant Lance. We met at Freeport 11, where we docked to refuel, and then left to continue the mission together. A few kilometers from the Freeport we found the two previous Corsair ships, arguing with a Phoenix fighter. Apparently the Corsairs were demanding their fees from merchants too close to the Freeport, and the Phoenix pilot was trying to expel them from the vicinity of the base. We've decided not to intervene directly in the conflict, since it didn't affect us, but we've positioned the two gunships next to the Phoenix pilot to provide a certain deterrent presence, and support him if he was attacked. Fortunately, the Corsairs have left again, and we've been able to continue the patrol after saying goodbye to the Phoenix pilot.
We've traversed the void of Delta for hours, without finding any Nomad activity. We only have seen some merchants, and the two previous Corsair ships doing their piracy business, which we haven't at all interrupted as ordered. Once the entire system has been scanned, we've inspected the clouds, starting with Palau and continuing with Tokelau. In Palau we haven't found anything, although we expected it. In Tokelau, we have sighted a hostile signal that upon approach has turned out to be a xenomorphic Nomad abomination.
This monster was gigantic, the size of a battlecruiser. As we approached, we began to receive the well-known semi-telepathic transmissions through which the Nomad xenomorphs express their feelings of hatred towards their victims. Lieutenant Kerensky and I have briefly debated what to do, and we've decided to attack the aberration, despite being quite aware that its size made us assume a combat power that surpassed us.
We split up, flanking the Nomad, and applied turn-based strike tactics to try to weaken its protective shields, but its regeneration capacity appears to be greater than we imagined. On two occasions we have managed to expose its exterior and damage it, although we've barely managed to scratch its skin, or whatever it's that it is wrapped in. For its part, the aberration has reacted quickly despite its size and slowness, and has bombarded us with bioenergetic projectiles repeatedly. In the end, both Lieutenant Kerensky and myself have come to the conclusion that we didn't have enough firepower to seriously damage that thing, and yet we ran a very high risk of losing both gunships, so we've retreated out of the Tokelau cloud and returned again to Freeport 11.
We're currently docked at the base, making small repairs to our ships from the damage suffered in the battle against the giant abomination of Tokelau. Sir, our firepower is still too weak, and Delta infestation appears to be increasing, but rest assured that we'll get out there again as soon as both gunships are ready to continue our duty.
I receive with concern the news from him about the state of the conflict in Delta, the threat seems to grow and grow without measure and our resources are too dispersed to be decisive.
That is why it is a pleasure for me to congratulate you, to start a fight with that relationship of forces you need heart.
But to know that you have to retreat, to conserve the strength to win the long war, you need brains and cool blood, something that both you and Lieutenant Kerensky have demonstrated time and time again.
It is an honor to be your commander.
Regarding the pirates, what can I tell you, these are the Omicrons, as long as they don't touch one of our ships, live and let live is our policy.
Finally, I inform you that your son Samuel has been promoted to Corporal for his determined leadership and his efforts to be the best platoon in his company in the Faith Haven Rangers.
Martin de Alba y Espronceda, Field Maestre of the NCC.
Deux Vult!
P.S. I am sorry again for the delay in answering you, as you know, our efforts and especially mine, are in the hasty training of the defense battalion and in the expansion and fortification of our home and also now in guaranteeing the safety of a special visitor personally invited by Monsignora Meyer.
It is my duty to inform you that the situation in Theta has reached a critical point. That is why I insist on starting preparations for evacuation.
Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but we must be prepared to evacuate civilians and non-combatant personnel from the surface.
I have also ordered our forces in Delta to return and go on high alert and ground forces are currently occupying their designated areas of operations.
I am sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but this time we will not be unprepared, this time there will not be another Gran Canaria.
