He thought a moment. "We work strictly on donations here. I will not ask for credits as it goes against my own principles."
He stood up as he thought and waved a finger in the air next to his chin. "What I really need is something that credits cannot buy, something that is earned.." He turned and faced MacRory. "Friendship! Friends I can trust and today is a good start to that. As much as we do medicine, we also do research on a whole bunch of different subjects. I have only heard of this Earhart system and would like a lot of detailed information on it. Would you be willing to take one of my researchers with you so that they can find out about it for our Enterprise?
You know, sending us back coms and such? This person would be separate of the training crew I would send and would stay afterward."
He sat again. "It is a bit strange but you get your medical and we get some good research and information."
Finn considered Doc's proposition, but only for a short while. Then and nodded.
"Of course, doctor, we'd be happy to take your researchers with us. We'll need to do some surveying in Earhart anyway, so having a skilled researchers aboard sounds like a good idea, but please, let us at least cover your expenses for the training and the facility. I will respect your stance on not taking money as a direct payment for your services, but I wouldn't feel right knowing you have to use the funding and donations meant for your medical facilites to fulfill my request instead."
He than sat down, finally put away the long empty whisky glass and smiled.
"As for the friendship, well, I consider anyone who provides medical care to everyone indiscriminately, free of charge, a friend. I've seen all too well how corporations treat medical care as for profit bussines in the houses, uncaring to the plights of those unable to afford it, so it's refreshing to see someone actually upholding the spirit of the profession. So yes, you can call me, and by extension our group, your friend, doctor."
He paused for a moment and quickly checked a small screen he had on a wristband.
"Well, since it seems like we have an agreemend, I believe what remains in that matter are the boring details. Unfortunately, it looks like it will take some time before we'll have the ship ready, so how about I'll send you a message whan that's done and we'll deal with the specifics then? And regarding the training, I'll arrange for the transportation of our people when you're ready for them, does that sound good to you?"

Doc sat in thought for a moment. He was a good doctor and organizer but not so much a business man. Sure, he could exchange services as payment but MacRory was different in a good sort of way. He like him and foresaw a good relationship in the future.
"I will have one of my people ready to go in the morning," he stated. Then he sighed. "I have not once ASKED for payment so if you would like to make a donation to [MFE]Donations, we would be most grateful. The amount is of your choosing and rest assured that it will go to our work."
He rose to his feet. "Mr. MacRory, I do believe we have an arrangement and I personally look forward to a good future between us."
The agreement was sealed with a handshake.
"Than it's settled. I'll figure out how large donation we want to send, because even if you don't want to ask anything for the services provided, I like what you're doing here and I want to support it. Oh, and don't hurry your people, we need to get the ship first and then equip it with everything necessary. I'll contact you when we have the people ready to go to the Academy and when the ship is ready for the refits, if that's ok with you?"

He nodded. "I will use the time wisely to allow my people to get ready." With that he released the handshake.
"Just let us know when you are ready and my team will meet you."
With that, they concluded their meeting and he escorted him to his ship. He stood, hands behind his back as he watched MacRory leave for his work. Once gone, Doc headed to get scrubbed up for surgery.
