I am reaching out in order to gather data from Freeport 11's relay and sensor network, specifically from -00:00:05:00 to +00:00:05:00 from the time code in question. Please see attached requisition order and relevant SLRC authorizations, and let me know if there are any questions.
[A middle aged man appears in the frame of the camera. His eyes more steely and devoid of life than his time in the SLRC. This is Sailas Montgomery, former Director for the SLRC turned Core scientist. He smiles briefly, though it never reaches his eyes, clearly it is not a warm greeting.]
It's good to hear from you, Brad, even if A.B.A.D.D.O.N. force intercepted your communication and directed it to me. It seems it detected an old SLRC code and pushed it to me instead of your intended destination. I had it configured in such a way for any eventuality that someone from the old SLRC poked their head up from the deafening silence for the past three years. Not that I'm surprised you'd be the one to poke your head up, you were always diligent in your research.
[He sighs and smiles a genuine smile.]
How have you been, old friend? Where has the universe taken you these past three years? Let's catch up, I'm out in Omicron Delta these days working with the Core. Would be nice to catch up over a drink or three. Maybe we could close down the Freeport 11 bar like we used to.
[He chuckles. It fades into silence before he glances back at the camera with a serious look.]
I'd be interested to hear what information you have pertaining to the Pulse. We could compare notes and see what shakes loose. Maybe somewhere, we'd have overlapping data that would answer some burning questions.
You can respond here freely. I had this routed to my personal comm. line just as a precaution. Core encryption standards are the best, but there's nothing quite like using your own homebrewed standards instead of those widely used within an organization.
Just kidding (or am I?). Things have certainly changed in these interviewing years. But to quickly summarize, the Gryphon fulfilled her purpose, Sean can't stop himself from Administrative duties, and the Aurora is broken. Like usual. So I guess the more things change the more they stay the same.
I'll take you up on the drink though, I'll pester you when I'm in the area.
