Subject: Normalize relation
Konbanwa
I write this letter with greatest honor and fervor for our exalted relationship. I earnestly hope that we can work together, and by overcoming the difficulties of old increase our prospects for a common future.
Grasping that perhaps history has seen strains in the relations between our powerful entities, I submited this proposal just as a way to warm up and normalize relations. If we only recognize the grievances of yesterday and recognizing our common responsibility, then together let us step onto this road to comprehension, sympathy and cooperation.
Above all, I should like to say that the Takeda Shogunate regrets any unfortunate incidents or misunderstandings which may have arose in past days. It is only with mutual understanding and forgiveness that we can build lasting relationships. Part of our efforts to promote peace have involved open, honest discussions regarding past misunderstandings or prejudices.
In addition, the Takeda Shogunate hopes to issue invitations for a series of cultural exchanges and joint activities in cooperation with the Genan Chrysanthemum Sisterhood. These would offer a chance to glorify and appreciate what we have in common, while showcasing how different each entity is from the other. Through such activities we develop a respect and gratitude for one another's traditions, values.
Simultaneous with our cultural exchange, we suggest the creation of a joint committee comprising representatives from the Takeda Shogunate and Genan Chrysanthemum Sisterhood. This committee would provide a forum for our two organizations to discuss any unfinished matters from the past, where both sides can have their say and find concrete results that serve the interests of not only us but also other people.
Normalization process First, it is important to stress that this normalization isn't about forgetting the history on which our institutions are built. It's learning from and growing out of them. Rallying around the values of resilience, progress and harmony: let us all serve as pillars of strength.
