It's a shame that with dwindling server activity overall, staff is unable to adapt and lower activity requirements even a little bit. Then all these compassionate threads (https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...tid=192961) are just useless to begin with if staff can't go through and communicate back to community about community's needs.

It is a shame I could not be a good leader for LH~ during 2023 year. The Lane Hackers will always remain in my memory as the most genuine faction that prioritized character roleplay.

Speaking for [FLG] it's just ... not good. Baffling oversights like removing propaganda without the ultra-easy re-add with all the hotfixes and no quasi and unlawful sell points when getting Ore from miners still not being re-added is making things difficult for a faction that can only demand cargo. We have caps, but cap gameplay was butchered too. This combined with devs not caring and not understanding our faction just zaps the will. The time requirements would be fine if we had devs who care.

Yeah the requirements themselves seem fine to me even though we failed. The interest in parts of the game and faith in staff are low is all, the excitement from the patch has waned off quickly. Numbers of normal play are down to pre-patch, the only thing that is very good and keeps up numbers is the events - but if you don't have them for your faction - tough. It's not the 3 days, it's the other things that are the issue.

Lane Hackers got a nice /net boost but econ hit Liberty hard, a lot fewer people go there after Manhattan stopped being the n1 regular commodity smuggling drop-off, the OF used to trade a lot of Cardamine that's now useless. JDs got unfriendly to use with the range, one way jumps so OCs stopped coming, cap access/zoi to omicrons got removed along with Insurgency, pve is just terrible now so there's much less activity overall, nobody to start and snowball it. It's sort of the same - the house doesn't feel exciting or alive anymore, and it's not too surprising 6/10 fails are factions from Liberty.

you're right, I'm surprised these things are not brought up on forums more often
I would like to see pirate factions gets extended/unlimited ZOI if economy is not fixed(by that I mean accommodate it for 10-30 players instead of +150 players )

Grinding activity is not beneficial to anyone. People should be active due to having fun playing the game. Recent updates ruined some of trade routes that I used to have fun doing as LH for example.

But I have no intention of keeping faction official when activity isn't self sufficient for it.

It is up to staff to decide what they want for community in the long term.

when economy absolutely shitter shatters the majority of trade and then we shoehorn economy onto pobs but it turns out it kind of sucks too and then people stop trading in houses and then pirates and lawfuls stop logging in houses

el discovorio freelancer is all that we'll have here soon since all that will be left are outcasts, corsairs, and freelancers/freelancer adjacents
