No explanation. All the lights simply turn off for a moment, then go back on. This doesn't affect anything really, except for Freelancer. It's really annoying to get dropped from the server because of a freaking wireless router in the middle of a fight, to have the people 10k away when I get back and saying that I 'ran'. :\
So, any idea why this'd be happening? And it's not overheating, tried that.
Difficult to say in all honesty, could be hardware or software. If hardware, well that could be the router itself, the ports on the PC or even the power adapter or sockets.
If you haven't already (sorry if you have, it'll sound so patronising!) then ask Google things like "router reset/ting" with or without the make of the router in the term.
EDIT: If it is broken and you got it from your ISP, tell them to send you a new one.
I thought about the password, but sadly my brothers screwed up the disc that came with it so I can't use that to set the password (it doesn't even have one). Any ideas how else I could set it?
Depends on the router. There is most likely a reset button somewhere that'll revert it to factory settings, but that'll mean you have to go into it to put certain information right, you may not even know the original user/pass but as I say it all depends on the router (login details are sometimes on a sticker of the router). Of course, resetting it might not help the problem, then again it may even be worth a try. Be sure that you know the login details and, if appropriate, the DNS settings before you reset it (the DNS may already be configured by default if you got it from your ISP).

Most routers have an HTML interface. To access this go to your routers ip address in a browser, the adress which will usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, you can also find this out by going into command and typing ipconfig /all and looking at the default gateway.
It should prompt you for the default password, this is usually in the documentation or you can find it online. if not try admin password or admin admin or administrator password. It is usually something like this. Once in the interface you can change the password and even better set a wep key or mac lock it so no one can connect to your router except who you choose.
The router died twice in the KNF v BAF fight, and when I died it died too. I found what you said, Tazuras, and have passworded the router. If this is all the doing of some malcontent ne'er-do-well leech, then that should fix the problem.
Password didn't help. Also, the way its set up is modem connects to wireless router which connects to computer and transmits to let my iPod have internet. I really, really like having wifi on my iPod, so just ditching the router is out of the question, and I'm rather sure my mom won't spring for a new one (and I can't spring for a new one:dry:). So only option left is to try and fix it, but I dunno what the problem is...
