Allow me to introduce myself. I am Celeste Martinet, Chair of the Board of the Adelie Foundation. We are a newly-formed organization of Gallic and Sirian citizens who wish to see a wider cooperation between our peoples. Despite past differences, we believe that peace between Gallia and the rest of Sirius is not only possible, but necessary. Internal xenophobia is a far greater threat to every House and organization than any posed by the outside world, and we must put aside our differences for the greater good.
We believe the best way to pursue greater understanding is through interaction and interdependence, and free trade fosters both. Towards this end, we have founded both our Foundation and our latest venture: Port d'Adelie, a trading depot in Tau-23 intended to encourage trade, growth, and reliance between our various peoples under the banner of freelancer neutrality.
This is a courtesy call to you, who we acknowledge as the local authorities as per your membership in the Independent Miners' Guild, to inform you of our new depot. While we have yet to hold our grand opening, we thought it best to reach out while we are still under construction. We are located near Java Station, 22.5 klicks beneath it relative to the system's orbital plane. We have positioned it to ensure it is outside of the exclusion radius of Java, and as a courtesy will ban the trade of cardamine through our station. For the same reason, we will neither mine nor process niobium ore, though your products are welcome to travel through our doors on their way to their final destination. While we would prefer truly free trade, we understand the importance of following local laws, and have reviewed yours in-depth.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please do reach out. Our doors are open to commerce and comment alike. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.
