The recodring begins with a man in a helmet working on fixing or perhaps upgrading a fighter. He doesn't stop working as he talks.

"Greetings. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Roland Freud, callsign Locksmith. I am a Commander within Task Force Prometheus, however I am making contact with you on my own behalf."

"Lately I've been seeing a lot of independent Junker named Alice Reyes with some very peculiar behavior. One, her ship uses hybrid Nomad equipment. Two, she is acting in a deliberately provocative manner towards us and our Technocracy allies. Three, she expresses sympathy for the Xeno terrorist movement."

"Personally, I find her petty threats easy enough to ignore. Still, as you can no doubt understand, the mixture of these things is quite volatile in itself. It could cause complications between the Technocracy and the Junkers in the Inverness system. At a time when we could all do well to put petty feuds aside, given that we have both LSF and Xenos at our doorstep."

"My guess — and this is only a guess — is that this person is a Xeno agent hiding within your ranks."

"What you do with this information is up to you. I don't ask for anything, I don't expect anything. And I do not consider myself in the position of telling you what to do. The reason I contacted you is because I owe a lot to the Junkers. If it weren't for some of your people, I would be swallowing dust in some mine on Pittsburgh, and the only member of my family would be dead. So, I would like to avoid possible conflict if I can help it."

[As the comm begins, the camera points towards a wall, laughter of two or three people can be heard in the room as they quickly fade away.]
[The camera then moves and focuses on a woman, on her thirties, slightly tan and with short hair, she's smiling as she looks down on the desk, holding her laughter, she holds a cigar on her right hand.]

Hey tin-man, guess who?

[Right as she makes that question, she presses a few keys on her terminal, the comm receives a voice recording, along with a transcript of the conversation.]

Alright, buddy, I see now your stock ain't very bright, and neither you seem to be 'cause you sent this to my people and expected everyone to believe it, specially with nothing to back it up... I'm beginning to see a pattern here, you bunch likes to make statements you can't back up, and you bunch also seem to not mind that much going around, accusing people of being spies or Lord knows what. [She scoffs] 'Guess it's something akin with spooks and traitors, since they're full of shite' and spying on each other all the time, they expect the rest of normal folks like us to have the same loyalty problems...

[After a brief pause, she takes a puff off her cigar, her expression changes, turning more serious.]

After you apologize for slandering a congresswoman "for what is worth it"... We can discuss a deal. You want to be in good terms with our people, despite your disastrous PR up to now, and your baseless fear-mongering to us and the zoners. I'm your woman, I can do the talks, and I can tell Directors of the Congress that we have an agreement and they can just sign it up to make it official.

And after a deal is done, we can discuss some business. You heard that recording earlier, when I told that moron that I was prospecting, I meant it. I got a bunch of toys that I believe your people will be very interested in.

Ah, by the by, I've asked a few folks around just now if they knew someone called "Rolan Freud". Nothing but heads shaking and shrugs, so either you're lying, or you're not as popular around here as you believe.

Mr.Freud,

I appreciate your concern however I have no reason not to trust Miss Reyes here. In fact, it is why I am allowing her to handle this communication going forward. So, I suggest you take the fact that she speaks with the full weight of my authority in this transmission into consideration. Additionally, what my Junker's choose to tinker with weaponry wise is not something I honestly care about, this isn't a dictatorship, Congress is a family, as long as she isn't blowing up a wing on Invergordon I couldn't care less what weaponry she or any other congressperson straps to their ship.

You do speak the truth however, with the Xenos on the rise in Liberty and Liberty itself seemingly having an increasing interest in Inverness it makes no sense for our operations here to descend into infighting.

Time's over, the toys I carefully had prepared for your lot have been collecting dust and taking space long enough, they've been sold to the highest bidder, which happens to be certain fancy Outcast personality, the guns are headed to Malta right now in a bunch of droms'. All things considered they do sell well so we might get another batch ready at some point.

I'll consider your lack of response as proof your kind doesn't consider us worth the time and respect, beyond trying to shove us bullsh*t propaganda for your schemes.

By the way, we've noticed the two bases your people dropped near Inverg', don't forget that real estate is valuable, if we happen to require that spot, we'll make sure you're aware about it, you can save us all time now and begin towing them towards Elgin, I assure you we wouldn't mind.
